I’m not sure what the problem was but our food was cold and the tasted bad. Even the biscuits which I like a lot were hard. The service was not great either.

Way too loud. Had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time. Two out of the three meals had something prepared not to order and the 3rd was dried out fried chicken and Mac n cheese.

A bit noisy for comfortable conversation at dinner. No music, but no sound dampening either. I've been four times in two years and this was the best the food has ever been. The menu has some creative and familiar dishes and a some very interesting vegetarian ones. The fried chicken was awesome and I really like the small dessert options.

Good food and service, but we were seated at a small table near the kitchen entrance which resulted in a lot of noise and made it hard to communicate.

The fried chicken was average at best which was a little disappointing given this is a "southern comfort" style restaurant. Service was great and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Cocktails are good.

Reservation notes specifically asked for larger table or booth due to the height and size of my date. Host attempted to seat us at a small table and when I mentioned my specific note in the reservation, he told me I would have to settle for the smaller table because he had other 3 and 4 person reservations. He quickly realized he was wrong because I too made a reservation and was there before the other ppl he was talking about, which means I should be accommodated. He cleaned it up and sat us at a bigger table. Problem? The table was wobbly. Great. We kept the table since the host didn’t seem interested in making us comfortable and it was larger than the 2 seater he originally offered. Waiter comes and provides basic service. We order the crispy Brussels (the ones with bacon), and the plain ones come out. It took a while for our waiter to return to the table, and as we looked for him, we saw Brussels with bacon pass us up. By the time the waiter comes over and we tell him about the Brussels, he tells us that they’re out of that kind. My food arrives about 10 minutes before my dates does, and our waiter informs us that the kitchen must’ve messed up his order. When his food does arrive, I’m done eating. Neither of us were impressed with our meals. We order dessert and while it came promptly, we had difficulty locating our waiter again to pay for the meal. We finished up our date nearly 2 hours later and were completely underwhelmed.

The restaurant is so loud, be prepared to scream at each other across your table if you anticipate having any sort of conversation. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Out of my party of 4, no one was content with their meal, especially for the price. Wouldn’t go back.

Had an excellent experience celebrating my sisters birthday at brunch. Our server was Chris, there were 8 of us. He was very attentive, had great silent service, very friendly and professional — the food was incredible all around as well. Second time here and loved it as much as the first. Thank you Tupelo honey staff for making our brunch experience wonderful. We loved that the staff signed the birthday greeting card and the manager came over to greet us and check on us. Thank you thank you. Will be back!

The dusted chicken was outstanding. as were the fried pickles, collards, and brussel sprouts. The sweet tea chicken was ok, but not as flavorful as we expected. Excellent, unhurried service. We appreciated the bartender coming over to apologize when the bar ran out of a specific gin request.

Me and my Fiancée got there about 15 minutes before happy hour was over . We waited 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us at our table. Finally ordered a couple things so we can get it st the happy hour price. We ordered 2 blue moons each, 24 oysters and Mac and cheese bites. The blue moons were flat . The oysters were not good at all and the Mac and cheese bites were cold along with the sauce that came with it. All in all I wasn’t impressed.

Great restaurant. Food is good too. However the service is TERRIBLE. They “forget” when you ask for things (a straw, a steak knife, extra napkins, etc). However the manager is ALWAYS there for brunch and always asks how things are. I’ve been there three times already and like I said, the service is bad. I should’ve told him today and I regret not letting him know. But food was excellent and anyone should definitely try it. Especially the Brussels, fried okra, and potato cracklings!!

I’ve been here twice before and I enjoyed each time before this one. The flavors of the food were good, but nothing was warm enough, the mixed green salad was like two leaves of lettuce, and the bloody Mary was really watered down. The server forgot to bring our side dish at first, I had to ask for salt and pepper, and we never got the salt.

We love Tupelo Honey and keep it in the rotation for a great girls brunch date. This time we made a reservation for Sunday brunch at 11:30 a.m. and got right in without skipping a beat despite the restaurant being packed. Our server, Quinn, was delightful. She was attentive, but didn't hover. She was cheerful and genuine. While it may sound odd, our only complaint would be how quickly the food came out. Before we could even drizzle honey on our biscuits, our entrees were in front of us. At no point did we feel rushed, but there's something to say about timing and settling in. One of the girls even joked that someone must've sent our exact entrees back and they sent them directly to us (because they came out that quickly). No reason to not return. Great food, great service.

I had two issues dining here.
1. We barely saw the server. Granted some people showed up 15 minutes late but it took him 5 minutes to see me when i arrived at the time of the reservation and then another 5 minutes once everyone else showed up.
2. They put cracked pepper in a LOT of stuff. A lot of people don’t like black pepper and tbh- that’s the lazy chef spice. If I wanted black pepper in my eggs I’d have put it on them myself. This was after I kept asking the server whether something had black pepper in it and told him I can’t handle a lot of pepper. I’ve been a server. I expect certain things from a higher end place in Arlington. Then he was pouring water for another person at the table and I held mine across the table and asked if I could have some and he either didn’t see me, didn’t hear me, or just ignored me but my glass was empty and a decent server refills empty water glasses without being asked anyway. I knew the grits would have pepper but I wanted to try them anyway and was hoping I could pick out most of the pepper, which I could. However, the scrambled eggs were so full of black pepper I couldn’t even eat 2 bites. Again, a decent server would have seen this and tried to make it right. Eggs are cooked to order and could easily have been remade without pepper. I might give them another try in the future but until then I can’t really recommend a place with Such sub-par service.

This was my first visit to Tupelo-Honey in Arlington. Parking is difficult. The parking lot attached to the restaurant had no spaces available ($10/day rate), and street parking is limited. We ended up parking at another lot a few blocks away for $11/day rate. The restaurant was crowded for brunch and very noisy. We were promptly seated, but the server did not ask us if it was our first visit;did not offer suggestions; did not recommend any cocktails; and very rarely stopped by our table so we ended up asking other passing servers if we needed something. The server never brought the rolls and blueberry compote that is given to all guests.
The fried green tomatoes were very good. The crispy brussel sprout appetizer was overcooked aka burnt. The main entrees were brought out less than 5 minutes after the appetizers, and the portions were small considering the high cost of some of the dishes. The entrees tasted fine, but certainly wasn't the best Southern food we have eaten. The dish titled "Mountain Blueberry" was underwhelming...we were expecting blueberries infused into the pancake batter, but it was not - only a couple small spoons on top of the pancakes. I don't think we would return to Tupelo Honey.

Great modern take on Southern comfort: for instance during brunch you have the option of ordering your eggs Benedict (or “Betty” in Tupelo Honey lingo) over buttermilk biscuits, asparagus, or fried green tomatoes (guess which we tried). Highly recommend the breakfast combo option as well, where you can pick three or four of the items from other entrees to sample their fare.

The fried chicken is absolutely delicious. The Mac and cheese was fabulous. If you have never tried fried okra they have some of the best around. The biscuits with blueberry jam I could eat everyday and I love their specialty cocktails. I did find this Tupelo Honey to be loud and it was hard to have a conversation and hear each other.
