Visiting from out of town and came back for a second time. Tried several of the rolls and appetizers - all of them delicious. Our favorite was the Liberty roll and spicy tuna and got them both times we stopped in. Also loved the Broad street roll.
Great spot in Old Town. Great atmosphere and really fresh sushi. Highly recommended.
Incredible service and meal. The best sushi I have ever had.
The place offers really fresh and tasty ingredients for sushi and sashimi. The cocktail is also a surprise! Would definitely recommend you to give this restaurant a shot.
Great atmosphere paired with rally amazing food and attentive service — can say nothing but wonderful things about this Old City spot!!
Great service. Great food. Staff knowledgeable and able to assist with deciding
Amazing sushi rolls and drinks! Would definitely recommend trying this place out.
Delicious! Definitely get the Brussels sprouts, and all of the house rolls are excellent!
The food was so good I went twice during by trip to Philly.
Very good food for price, tasty and well presented
Good as always.
The food was absolutely amazing! The wagyu steak egg rolls were awesome.
Tuna Bar is one of my favorites in the city. The food is always great, served with class and professionalism. A "go to" for anyone looking for a great dinning experience in a casual atmosphere.
We had a party of 4 on Saturday 10/30. Everything was top notch till the power went out in the building.
Totally out of their control but after an hour of waiting for it to come back the hostess or manager asked if we minded paying the bill and leaving.
Again, totally understand given the situation but don’t charge us full price for a meal and drinks AND ask us to leave. To hand me a full price bill and ask me if i “mind paying it” while your simultaneously asking us to leave left a really bad taste in our mouth. At least comp a couple rounds of drinks… something … anything to show you felt bad.
I don’t blame Tuna Bar for the power going out or having to close but i do blame the hostess and management for how they handled it and treated us. Really disappointing
Was delicious and great cocktails. Fish very fresh!!
Food was very good, but overpriced. There were plenty of tables by the front window (only 1 other party when we arrived), but they sat us by the bar/wall. Server was a tad brusque. Probably won’t go back.
Amazing sushi, drinks and service we will definitely be back. Got the tuna tartar, salmon tataki and big tuna highly recommend!
Great food, great atmosphere, perfect cocktails! Sushi melted in your mouth.
The food at Tuna Bar is
Absolutely fantastic sushi! And great service and ambiance. Going back and waiting tooooo long to try! Thanks To Kenny and his staff!
Delicious food and outstanding service - The host was especially great!
The best sushi in the city. Tuna tartare is a must!
Food is amazing. Inside is very loud. Love that they have outdoor seating.
We enjoyed our date, but it was surprisingly loud. The waiter had difficulty hearing us and we had difficulty hearing him. The larger table next to us added to the noise level. The waiter was fine, attended to us promptly and checked on us at appropriate times. Food was good, good flavors. It was an overall good experience. Noise was my only complaint but that isn’t something that can be controlled.
Tuna Bar was a wonderful experience. The food service was incredible - quick and delicious. The staff was very attentive and the cocktail selection was fantastic!
Delicious. Friendly and prompt service. Enjoyed the outdoor seating on Race Street.
The tuna crudo with white truffle oil and ponzu sauce was exquisite! Delicious and unique rolls, very knowledgeable waiter.
Always dependable for a great time and satisfying eats. Thanks
The food was amazing and the ambiance was awesome. Will definitely be going back!
Loved the vibe of Tuna Bar, which had a bit of zing that carried outside to those of us dining al fresco on a windy, October evening. Overall, the fish was fresh and tasty, though I would have liked a little more flavor on some of the specialty rolls.
We started with: (1) Grandma's Wonton Soup (traditional fuzhou style pork wontons, scallions, celery), which was delightful--a very gentle broth and ghost-like wontons floating therein; (2) Pork Gyoza (kurobuta pork, scallions, ginger, pan-fried), which were nicely crisp, flavorful, and served piping hot; and (3) Wagyu Beef Spring Rolls (onion, ginger, cabbage, scallions, mustard sauce), which included some delicious beef, however, the beef overwhelmed the rest of the spring roll.
We rolled on with: (a) Yellowtail (b) King Ghidorah specialty maki (spicy tuna, shishitos, hot sesame oil, topped with yellow-tail, jalapeño, tobiko), my second favorite roll; (c) Dynamite White Tuna house roll (spicy walu, crunch, shishitos), my third favorite roll; (d) Fishtown specialty maki (shrimp tempura, avocado, jalapeño, topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy aioli), although this roll looked like it would have the most flavor, it didn't deliver on its looks, tasty, sure, but not my favorite; and (e) Eel Avocado classic maki.
The service was stellar and I appreciated the wider-width sidewalk permitting outside dining to be away from the flow of pedestrian traffic. Will return to check out the indoor dining vibes.
All around service was excellent!
Amazing quality and attention to detail. A must for sushi lovers in Philadelphia.
Sushi waa delicious, great drinks! Helpful, courteous staff.
After we realized outdoors wasn't suitable for a sharable meal, seated us at a good indoor table. Service is excellent. Every dish has its own distinct taste dimensions, well rounded and delicious; brussel sprouts and shishitos open and prepare the palette; many carb free options; oysters expertly prepared with an incredible savory topping; only dish difficult to eat was the tuna carpaccio in much too soupy of a sauce. Great cocktails and sake.
Best sushi in the city
Quality food, yet the server could have been more friendly.
Very good food and service in a loud, fun setting.
Amazing food, great ambiance. We travel an hour from NJ just to eat there. Wish they’d open a location near us!
Nice place, enjoyed a nice lunch with some creative cocktails (and a mocktail) and found everything to be high quality and most enjoyable.
Everything was absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to come back
