Such an amazing restaurant, great vibe with amazing people. Tommy, Bryon, Courtney, McKayla, Diamond, and Ken the proprietor couldn’t be more professional and welcoming. They have the perfect balance of a neighborhood spot and a destination sushi restaurant in Philadelphia.
The experience was fantastic, start to finish. We had both reviewed the menu ahead of time and knew we wanted sushi/sashimi but the menu has a lot of options that I would like to try next time. We started with the wonton soup and pork gyoza. Both we delicious, the wonton soup was probably the best I’ve ever had.
When it came to ordering dinner, our waiter had some great recommendations to steer us during our first visit. We had the sashimi platter plus some individual rolls on the side. Again everything was so fresh and delicious.
We will definitely be back.
Delicious food and a gorgeous space! They have amazing happy hour specials too.
Totally recommend Tuna Bar! Went with a few friends and we ended up ordering several rolls for us all to share. Sushi and presentation was amazing. Great service, too! The hostess did ask us to move to the bar after we had paid so a pregnant woman could sit at our table but they got us a round of drinks for moving so that was fine with us!
A wonderful and accommodating restaurant. Superb cuisine - for food lovers and food particulars (vegans, gluten freers). I eat everything, so my favorite is the chef's Grandmother's won-ton soup. It's an innovative, haute cuisine version of a resto staple. My only complaint...better signage on the outside would make Tuna Bar a little easier to find.
First time patron - this place is Fantastic! Service, ambiance and some of the best Traditional and fusion Japanese I ever had! Definitely one of the new best of Philly! Well Done!
Went for happy hour with a friend and had an amazing time. Highly recommend the sake and spicy tuna roll. Will definitely return soon.
I loved the design of the Tuna Bar! Great ambience and food was wonderful! The cocktail and wine selection were good as well. We will definitely be back!
It was ok. Other better places with less attitude from bartenders
Amazing new sushi bar in a cool location. Sushi is fresh and the dishes unique in flavor and profile.
Sushi and cocktails were fabulous--great find! I will definitely be back.
Pricey, but worth it. We loved everything we had. We each had miso soup and I had the ginger salad and my husband had the tuna salad and we shared the kampachi and tuna crudo and each had the geisha roll. Yum!
Fresh, fresh, fresh! We had a wonderful waiter too.
Unbelievable food. My husband is still raving about it. Everything was outstanding. Do recommend if you are looking for great, authentic, Asian food.
I have yet to have anything on the menu that wasn’t amazing. It has become me and my wife’s favorite restaurant. We make it a point to come at least once a month.
First time at Tuna Bar and we loved it. The staff was friendly and extremely attentive to our every needs. Food was superb. I will definitely be back.
Our Tuna Bar dining experience was great! Ken made us a special cocktail which was fantastic. The meal was great as well...delicious salad and crab appetizer as well as a flavorful soba noodle stir fry and pork tenderloin entree special.
We can’t wait to return!!
Great food at great prices. Perfect spot for a date!
Ken and crew deserve the credit for great food, friendly prompt service, and great atmosphere. Well done. Hope they thrive in this part of town; it’s needed.
Server had no clue about the menu. Drinks were awful. Sub par appetizers came out before the cocktails. One redeeming thing was the sindy roll. Place is awful wouldn’t recommend
Amazing food and atmosphere! Two thumbs up!!
The best sushi I’ve had in Philadelphia. A little pricey but worth it!
It’s always about the tastes, unique combinations and great flavors at Tuna Bar. They always deliver exceptional quality
Tuna Bar had a really good happy hour! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the cocktail I had was great. My rating and experience is only based on the happy hour menu though, so I will have to try the full menu another time!
Had a good time!
Great experience top to bottom. Location, ambience, service, food, drinks, decor, etc. Top notch.
Great setting and probably some of the best/freshest sushi in Philly!
I love this place. Great food and a vibe that reminds me of NYC
Really nice atmosphere and sushi in Old City. $10 parking at nearby garage with validated ticket.
Love Tuna Bar. Food was delicious! Amazing selection of sushi rolls. Great happy hour deals.
Food was amazing, and very good service!
Awesome shishito peppers
The special rolls we had were stupendous. Excellent quality, great taste. We'll definitely be back.
My husband and sons love sushi. They had some very interesting things on menu. ordered chicken/shrimp dumplings, wagu beef rolls(only 2 in order. Would have liked three. A bit expensive) ,creamy rock shrimp. All delicious. Ginger salad was great. Vegetable fried rice excellent and nice portion to share. Wentz roll and Fishtown excellent.
The dynamite white tuna roll lacked flavor. Other than that, it was an excellent meal and we will be back.
Really nice find in old city. Food was excellent and we were able to sit and talk without being harassed by very nice waitress. Chef also came by to check that food was good, which it was. Fun place.
Great food but seemed a little understaffed! Loved the wentz roll!
The shrimp and chicken dumplings, seared tuna salad, Mai tai rice bowl were A+. We read about the green tea cake with dark chocolate ice cream with sesame and it was delicious as the reviewer promised. Will be going back. Fantastic food preparation.
We had a business group of 8 or 9 people and literally ordered 75% of the hot appetizers and at least six different rolls. Everything was spectacular! The service and cocktails were also spot-on.
Our favorite sushi place in Philly without a doubt. Food and service beyond impeccable. Shout to Victoria and Tony you guys are the best . A must stop at least once a week .
