Overall we had a great experience. Food was very good with the exception of the bread which was acceptable but a little dry. Chicken Parmesan and steak tips were fabulous! Dessert was good but carot cake was not moist but more on the dry side. Coffee was exceptional. I guess a little more moisture in the bread and desserts and I would give them a five star.
The appetizers we had were great, the calamari and buffalo chicken were very tasty. We waited quite a while for our meals to come. The waitress kept coming over and apologizing for the wait. Two of us had the salmon piccata, which was the worst salmon I have ever had. There was this thick gelatinous sauce with a few capers sprinkled on top. It was not a true piccata sauce with lemon and wine. It just looked so unappetizing. The salmon was tough and chewy. A friend ordered chicken masala, which was a tiny piece of chicken covered in a white gelatinous sauce also. Not at all a Marsala sauce. Another friend ordered a kale salad that was full of raw Brussels sprouts. The waitstaff was great, but the main entrees did not make me feel I would come back for anything but appetizers.
WE got seated right away in the pub as we had reservations. Took almost an hour for the food. Burger was ordered well and came out pink, had to send back, another 10 min. I ordered flatbread with toppings that came out burnt. Fish in Chips had so much batter that you couldn't find the fish. They had a party on the upper level that needed a lot of attention, so consequently service was not good.
First time there! The food was great and service was too!! Our table was ready when we got there!! Would come back again!!
Parking was a little hard
This was our 2nd visit there. Really like it. Super clean and the food is very very good. Our waitress was awesome, and because it was kind of late when we left, her and the manager gave us a tour of the entire restaurant, very unique! We ended up booking a party there in one of their super nice rooms for the end of the month! Very accommodating. Highly recommend!!
Love this place! Very cute inside and the food is delicious!
We walked out because the room was so loud we could not hear us think. Our first time and had high expectations but the Café room we sat in was not a good place to put a couple on looking for a relaxing Friday night dinner. Too bad, some of the other rooms looked really nice and the menu looked interesting.
Everything was fine! Service was good but not attentive!
Loved, loved, loved the café. Breakfast was fantastic. The ambiance was extraordinary! I can't wait to go again.
Atmosphere, service and food over the top !!
Bruce and JoAnn the best
A real treasure. Fine dining on the upper level is intimate in a uniquely and tastefully decorated atmosphere. The pub is a great casual spot and breakfast in the room on the first floor is a wonderful experience. All this at a fair price too. Will go back again and again.
I've been several times and I knew it would be a good choice to bring friends for dinner. I never disappoints.
The different rooms are great, the atmosphere is very relaxing. This is my third time. Food is delicious. Wait staff is awesome and very attentive. I will definitely come back with my family and friends. Thank you Carolyn
This was restaurant week, it was a Friday evening and very busy. No excuse for undercooked, raw salmon. The waitress was very attentive, and it was not her fault that there was a very long wait for the entrees to come out. However, when my salmon came out, I began eating and noticed it was not cooked through. This was a restaurant week special. The manager or owner took it away immediately and it was brought back out fully cooked. The sides were mashed potatoes and zucchini squash, which came out hot on the plate as well (the second time). I have been to Tumblesalts a number of times, unfortunately, after this very long 2+ hours and raw salmon, I doubt we will return.
Wanted to sit in the Tavern but was placed at a table in the middle of the crowded cafe. Food took way took long. Classic Calamari was greasy and chewy. Main entrees had bland mashed potatoes and steamed veggies that weren’t seasoned at all.
We went to Tumblesalts Cafe for restaurant week. Huge variety, they offered all menu’s. Kids menu had quite a few options, many sides. Restaurant is very unique, offering many different dining options, including private options for a small fee. Food was tasty, cooked well. We will be back soon.
Pretty place. I’ve been wanting to try Tumblesalts for awhile and so we went this week. Apps of calamari and arancini were very good. Lobster ravioli was ok. Very filling. Chicken dish was average with a watery sauce on it. Dessert was cannoli and pistachio cheese cake. Both very good. Nice guitar musician played softly during dinner.
Cafe area great till it filled up but still loved that area of uniquely laid out restaurant food delicious rest week menu
Great place and cozy area. Perfect for families or just a night out.
Had a delicious lunch during restaurant week. Lunch menu was the normal one so we spent a bit more than we might have if there had been a set menu. However our decision to have dessert was fully our own. Love this place.
Visited this restaurant for restaurant week - would think they would be at their best - NOT. Started off with the appetizer not being presented as described on the menu. Downhill from there, 4 of the six dinners came out wrong - took a couple of times to get it right. With that we should have seen a manager - NOT!! Two dessert choices - out of one at 8:30 - wow.
Will not rush back!!!! Never saw a manager.
We went during Restaurant Week so we ate off of that menu. The bourbon steak tips were excellent. Cooked perfectly and a tasty glaze. The chicken saltimbocca could use a little more prosciutto and perhaps a little more marsala wine for flavor. Found it lacked the typical flavor I usually find when ordering this dish elsewhere. The appetizers of stuffed mushrooms and aracini balls were fantastic and very tasty. Dessert was excellent as well. Would definitely go to this restaurant again. Atmosphere and ambiance were excellent. Service was very good and attentive.
Had a great time for our 19th Annual Holiday dinner.... atmosphere, service, apps, entrees, drinks and desserts and a great atmosphere.
A wonderful experience all around! We had breakfast there a few months ago, and loved it! I was pleasantly surprised that we could go there during restaurant week for a great pre fixe menu. Food was excellent, as was the service! I've already told all my friends about it, and would certainly consider Tumblesalts for a special occasion as well.
Not busy and service was very slow. Despite this food came out luke warm. Food was tasty and nice size portions. Never asked to refill water.
Super cute! Loved the ambience & energy.
We recently had dinner at Tumblesalts. My husband had been there for lunch and thought it might take the place of our old favorite The Little Inn. Alas, the menu doesn't equal that former favorite, but our meals were tasty and more than ample. We both ordered side salads, which were huge. We would split one in the future. Our main dishes were both nicely prepared. We ended up eating in the bar area because it was the quietest of the many rooms in the restaurant. There was a live acoustic guitar player in the dining room (Friday night), and we weren't looking for music. The only problem with the bar is that they have a huge television at one end, which was distracting. Overall, if you live in the neighborhood, it's a nice local spot.
The food is great, the desserts and baked goods are delicious. I feel like I am on a vacation when I’m there. My waitress was a sweetheart but the manager was very rude and acted inconvenienced. Was a very pleasant experience besides her.
Requested being seated where the singer was. They had advertised Steve Burke was to sing. Instead another organ player was there and there was no vocalist. Was very disappointed. Food was ok Kay. Appetizers I had was a platter..of mini appetizers..not so good.
Bill came tom200.00 with tip. That was steep.
Our waitress, Chris, was amazing! She was very attentive and had such a great personality! Will definitely be back!
Beautiful setting, excellent food, good service. Would gladly go there again
We had a very nice lunch with my friends, then was able to walk around and check out the nice gift shop. The food was very fresh and satisfying.
I came here with a reservation for 9 people for brunch. They sat us immediately and we got to enjoy live music with an acoustic guitar. Great to catch up. Food was delicious and they did not rush us out of the cafe.
There were 5 of us at a reserved table for lunch. Two of us were in direct, blinding sunlight. No shades. Waitress just shrugged her shoulders. Some entrees were quite small, salads were huge. Overall, just OK
The food was very good and the service was excellent.
The food was delicious. The room was small and cozy. The only little thing that kept me from giving it 6 stars was the bread basket. While the bread was good, it was plain italian bread at room temperature. It didn't match the level of the entree and left me second guessing my $30 entree. Thankfully, the entree did not disappoint!
Nice visit with friends. Food was good. Have had kitchen mistakes previously.
Friendly waitress! Yummy dessert.
I didn’t know there was music on Friday lunch. We sat right next to him. A bit too close.
I Love this place!
Service and Food is great!
Nice atmosphere you will not be disappointed.
My Tortellini was so so, my date's shrimp and scallop scampi was tasty. We asked for a bowl of parm for the table and our server has happy to give us one....however 2 minutes later a rude co worker came over and informed us that they only have one bowl for the entire restaurant and dumped a tablespoon on a bread plate and left. Unbelievable......
