Had a great time for our 19th Annual Holiday dinner.... atmosphere, service, apps, entrees, drinks and desserts and a great atmosphere.
A wonderful experience all around! We had breakfast there a few months ago, and loved it! I was pleasantly surprised that we could go there during restaurant week for a great pre fixe menu. Food was excellent, as was the service! I've already told all my friends about it, and would certainly consider Tumblesalts for a special occasion as well.
Not busy and service was very slow. Despite this food came out luke warm. Food was tasty and nice size portions. Never asked to refill water.
Super cute! Loved the ambience & energy.
We recently had dinner at Tumblesalts. My husband had been there for lunch and thought it might take the place of our old favorite The Little Inn. Alas, the menu doesn't equal that former favorite, but our meals were tasty and more than ample. We both ordered side salads, which were huge. We would split one in the future. Our main dishes were both nicely prepared. We ended up eating in the bar area because it was the quietest of the many rooms in the restaurant. There was a live acoustic guitar player in the dining room (Friday night), and we weren't looking for music. The only problem with the bar is that they have a huge television at one end, which was distracting. Overall, if you live in the neighborhood, it's a nice local spot.
The food is great, the desserts and baked goods are delicious. I feel like I am on a vacation when I’m there. My waitress was a sweetheart but the manager was very rude and acted inconvenienced. Was a very pleasant experience besides her.
Requested being seated where the singer was. They had advertised Steve Burke was to sing. Instead another organ player was there and there was no vocalist. Was very disappointed. Food was ok Kay. Appetizers I had was a platter..of mini appetizers..not so good.
Bill came tom200.00 with tip. That was steep.
Our waitress, Chris, was amazing! She was very attentive and had such a great personality! Will definitely be back!
Beautiful setting, excellent food, good service. Would gladly go there again
We had a very nice lunch with my friends, then was able to walk around and check out the nice gift shop. The food was very fresh and satisfying.
I came here with a reservation for 9 people for brunch. They sat us immediately and we got to enjoy live music with an acoustic guitar. Great to catch up. Food was delicious and they did not rush us out of the cafe.
There were 5 of us at a reserved table for lunch. Two of us were in direct, blinding sunlight. No shades. Waitress just shrugged her shoulders. Some entrees were quite small, salads were huge. Overall, just OK
The food was very good and the service was excellent.
The food was delicious. The room was small and cozy. The only little thing that kept me from giving it 6 stars was the bread basket. While the bread was good, it was plain italian bread at room temperature. It didn't match the level of the entree and left me second guessing my $30 entree. Thankfully, the entree did not disappoint!
Nice visit with friends. Food was good. Have had kitchen mistakes previously.
Friendly waitress! Yummy dessert.
I didn’t know there was music on Friday lunch. We sat right next to him. A bit too close.
I Love this place!
Service and Food is great!
Nice atmosphere you will not be disappointed.
My Tortellini was so so, my date's shrimp and scallop scampi was tasty. We asked for a bowl of parm for the table and our server has happy to give us one....however 2 minutes later a rude co worker came over and informed us that they only have one bowl for the entire restaurant and dumped a tablespoon on a bread plate and left. Unbelievable......
Each of us ordered flatbreads. Fig and eggplant flatbreads toppings were both overcooked. Flatbread itself was more like a pita bread. Waitresss was not concerned that we did not even eat half of our order.
Food was great! The service was slow even though the Resturant was not busy at all, which is unusual for the service. We will go back again. The multiple small dining rooms make it feel very cozy.
The food and service was great! A perfect neighborhood restaurant!
Resturante over all was OK. Tried to find our way in, too many entrances. Food was ok for all the members of my party. Big problem was the music. It was jazz which is ok but not in a room that small. We tried to talk to one and other but the music was too loud. In a larger room that would not be a problem. Food could have been more refined. Mash potatoes so so. Carrots juts cut and cooked. Could have used some butter, glaze or seasoning. Meat loaf was just regular with bacon, bbq sauce like I make at home. How about something more exotic. They tried to do a good job with the french onion soup. A little too sweet. We heard about the place on tv wanted to try it. Looks like several buildings make up the "hopscotch village" Good try for this area.
We had a group of 8 for lunch and it was very pleasant. Most people had sandwiches and the variety was refreshing, altho they certainly also had the usual favorites. One person had mushroom ravioli, which he said has excellent. Another had a very generous Caesar chicken salad, which she enjoyed. The cafe section is not large, but it was perfect for our needs and the service was excellent.
I’ve been to Tumblesaults several times as it’s in my neighborhood. I’ve brought friends for brunch or lunch. Only one time our orders had mix ups from the kitchen. Then wait service is excellent. I look longingly at the pastry case but so far have not purchased or tasted.
Like the restaurant but the food was not as good as the first time we went
4 of us enjoyed the tower of Pisa appetizer and we all enjoyed our entrees. Only negative was my husband and I ordered manhattans and it was the smallest drink we have ever had.
This place is a hidden Gem! Food and service was excellent! Also just started with half price apps!
We had a great night! Food was delicious!
Family get together for visiting and dining-we loves the atmosphere of variety. Our room was very noisy-need some overhead buffers. Our waitress lacked personality-acted overwhelmed. Had lunch previously with a friend outside-everything was enjoyable. Will go back again and recommend to others with the aforementioned caveats.
This was my first visit to the restaurant. Was a little apprehensive that it was 6:30 and we were the only ones there. I will chalk that up to it being a Monday. It was quite nice inside and later we got a tour of the other areas. Very Unique and nicely done in all areas. The food was very good. My only suggestion would be the bread and butter offering is below the level of the rest of the menu/food. The cold butter packets would be better if substituted with either a whipped and or seasoned butter or choice of Olive oil. Otherwise, it was a nice experience and I would recommend to others.
Awful. Second time there (wanted to give it a second chance) waited over an hour for food. The food was cold, only ate because I was starving.
This place is just adorable! The food is excellent, everyone is so friendly! Great service!
Always wonderful when we go there. Manager is great as is the wait staff! Beautiful surroundings!
This was my first time at Tumblesalts. It was a really great experience. Food was absolutely to die for!! Great ambience outside seating was very authentic it felt like I was in a quaint village somewhere other than North Providence! I am definitley returning soon. I absolutely love, love, love this place!
The restaurant has a nice ambiance. We sat out on a deck, which was quite private. Two servers took care of us all night, so we had plenty of attention. Just a little disappointed with the food. We had chicken marsala and steak tips, and both were fine, just not anything special. Meats were well cooked, but flavors were not well developed. Since we just moved close by we were hoping this would be a favorite place, but we're still looking.
Excellent food, great service - little gem - will definitely be back!
We had a great relaxing dinner the other night. The food was excellent as well as the service.
Great place! Love the atmosphere and the food! Been here three times in the last two months after finding this place!
Slow service, fruit flys everywhere... had to cover my wine with a dish! Food was inedible... raw flat bread pizza. They did provide free dessert.... but frankly that was not a sufficient consolation.
Loved the different rooms and outside seating! Will be back!
