Prices of mixed drinks was ridiculous,$20!!! And not posted on menu so we were unpleasantly surprised when we got the bill! Very loud club like music for a Mexican restaurant I won’t be returning

First time eating here. Service excellent. Very loud music for 7:30 pm. Prices are outrageous for simple food. Drinks good. Taste ok. Honestly, IDK if I would recommend it I have mixed feelings. Sorry 😞

Hello, sorry to day, our first visit was not good. The atmosphere was good, but that was it. Service was downright HORRIFIC, took 25 minutes to get a server, another 30 minutes to order. The food was SOSO, i had prime tacos, meet was well down and you could tell it was sitting in the kitchen for a while. Wife had enchiladas, which looked more like soup then an enchilada. Friends had the lava rock with all kinds of food, everything was well done. Drinks were horrible. I hear this place has been open 6 months, if you want to stay in business, big changes are needed. We will not be back. PS: The owner how was there, should be more worried about his customers then his friends.

We had a time!! I am so happy we came here for my birthday brunch. It was worth every minute. The food was phenomenal and service was exquisite! Our waitress, Lettie has the most infectious smile. She’s vibrant, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The manager on duty Francesca was so sweet and checked in with us at the end of our meal. THE FOOD!!! Omg! The Birria Tacos, The Nacho Fajita, The Yogurt Parfait, and Quesadillas!!! Soooo good! This was our first experience here and we’ll definitely be back.

We had the best experience at Tulum Prime. Celebrated my husbands birthday and from beginning to end the food and the service was perfect. Having lived in Florida for over 20 years and being married to a latin man this is the BEST Mexican food we have had in a long long time. So long I can’t remember. Every single appetizer and dinner was above delicious. Great atmosphere , music , DJ and our guests lived the Hookah. Our waiter Rodrigo and manager Francesca made everything spectacular. Our guests all commented on how delicious the food was and they’d be back too. Thank you so much and can’t wait to be back! Special loves:birria tacos, street corn , chicken tortilla soup, the chimichanga cheesecake! Yum all delicious!

Mexican is mexican, right? WRONG! We went with another couple to give Tulum Pride a try. Our experience as well as the food was absolutely outstanding! Our waitress was very attentive and the manager stopped by to check on us and chit chat for a moment. The food is so fresh and has some interesting combinations to choose from. Our friends had chicken and shrimp fajitas fundita, I had chicken fajitas, and my husband had a shredded beef burrito. The food was expertly prepared and I can't say enough about our waitress and how attentive she was. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went to Tulum to celebrate our 7th year of being married. It was a nice place, good food, good music. I will definitely go there again.

Very pretty place. Nice people Food needs improvement in a BIG WAY! Chips brought to the table were flavorless and a bit stale. The “salsa” was just as if a can of tomato sauce was poured into a little bowl. Street corn was lacking a bit - there was something off with the seasoning. The cotija cheese was extremely scarce. Tacos callejeros were nothing special either. If they improve food, they have a hit

The ambiance and decor was fair. As far as the food I wish we never went. I ordered the beef enchiladas and it was awful! My husband took a bite and literally spit it in his napkin! He ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. The shrimp were the size of salad shrimp not the size for an entree. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes. It is an overpriced not at all authentic Mexican restaurant. Save your hard earned money and spend it somewhere else.

Tulum Prime is nice to look at, but that’s about it. The service was extremely slow and it wasn’t even that busy. We decided to leave after just getting appetizers and one round of drinks. The guac lacked salt and spice. The queso was green and looked like soup. The margaritas were decent. The hostess and server were very nice but we mostly likely will not return.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we wish you would have asked for a manager that nite so we could have fixed it for you then, however we have spoken to the chef regarding the seasoning of the guac to make sure every freshly made bowl is consistent and to our recipe. We do have neon lighting and club lights inside which may have made your white queso dip look slightly off-color, but we assure you it's actually a white color in natural white light.

Really noice looking restaurant. The food was very tasty, hood portion. My only issue was the waitress did not come to check on us often, we have to wait a while before she would return to our table.

The atmosphere was welcoming. I had my reservations at 9 but the greeter was very accommodating for having me 6 instead. I went to the bar instead and the bartender was veeeery attentive. His berry margarita was a solid 10 (my perference). After ordering, the chef came with salsa and chips. Very fresh indeed. Them my meal I dont remember the name was a 9/10. I didn't like the bowl too much but that my preference. I ordered a classic magarita solid 10. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place!!!

Took my mom here for Mother’s Day… it was very nice 😊 customer service was a 10+, food came out on time, Food was hot and not cold, food was really good and affordable. This use to be my sea food spot Hook and Real but they reallocated to university and commercial. Over all I rate this a 10. I’ll be returning and I do recommend.

The overall experience was frustrating but my gf and I made the best of the situation. Something funny is going on with the final bill the math on the subtotal + the tip does not add up by over $20! We walked in and was sat down at a dirty table. When we asked for it to be cleaned, instead of spraying the rag off to the side and then wiping the table, the lady sprayed the table along with our chips and dip. Then after cleaning the table decided to ask us to move to another table. Why move if you’ve just cleaned it for us?!! We just listened to the lady and moved to the other table. The new table we moved to was dirty 😒. Then the lady proceeds to speak to me in Spanish the entire time as I am clearly speaking English and speaking to my girl who has a heavy Spanish accent. I want to add that I was turned off immediately when I saw the first dirty table but I kept it moving because it was a special night for me and my girl. My girl saw my face change because my blood started to boil. The instant that my face changed my girl said, “I know, try to relax”. I tried to relax UNTIL one of the guys that came to pack up our leftover food in boxes, came with a dirty rag he had been wiping tables with and gloves on and grabbed my plate 🤬. I was very generous with the ratings I provided here. I don’t try to give bad reviews so I hope this honest one helps them resolve this. I will be calling to address the billing issue with them. If the right thing is not done or a proper explanation, I will be disputing.

This was a terrible dining experience from the moment we walked in. We had to wait even though the restaurant was not full. We were crammed at a table for 6 (we were 8 people) yet there were two more empty tables in our room right next to ours. (The whole room we were in was empty but the other tables were booths.) The server was slow to greet us, slow to bring drinks and menus and then she disappeared. She eventually took appetizer orders and then disappeared. She finally came back with drinks and disappeared. She surfaced to take orders. We asked for more chips as the basket had been empty for awhile. We never got water refills. When the orders arrived, the food was ok. One person’s order was wrong but he didn’t say anything and mine didn’t come out for 15 to 20 mins and when it did, it was wrong. That was on the kitchen as I saw the server take down my request for no dairy. I sent it back and asked that they not bring me anything else. We were never offered a dessert despite noting on our reservation and telling the server we were celebrating a birthday. We wanted to split the check in half (we were 2 families dining together and that caused another delay - the server apparently needed guidance on that and disappeared for another 15 minutes.) All in all, it was a terrible experience and we will not be back.

Went there for our 7 pm reservation… place was packed … the hostess was also cleaning tables… and we waited 15 minutes for her to come back and tell us there is a 35 minute wait for our table! Totally unacceptable! Never going back-

May, we're sorry for your experience but in all fairness, you came in at 7PM on Cinco de Mayo! Even though it was reservations only for that nite, we still had a line out the door or people waiting to get in. You wouldn't go to an Irish Bar on St. Patty's day and not expect it to be busy, please be a little understanding with the overwhelming crowd we had on Cinco de Mayo. We hope you'll come back and try our food on a normal night and have the real Tulum experience!

I had reservations for a party of 4 at 7:45pm. The hostess informed me that my party should be seated within 15 minutes but after an hour of waiting to be seated we left without ever being seated.

We would never rush a guest or ask them to get up and leave and therefor many of our later reservations had a significant wait for their table. In the future for special dates/events, we will be limiting reservations to 1 seating only to avoid waits...

Couldn’t tell you how the food was we never got seated for our 7:15 reservation. We waited until after 8:00 and finally left. I would not waste my time. We were not the only ones with reservations that left without ever being seated.

I hardly ever write reviews but this had to be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. The only positive comment I can make is about the hostess. She was fantastic and truthfully the only employee in the entire restaurant that seemed to really care about the customers. Between waiting over 25 minutes after being seated for a runner to drop chips and salsa and ask us if we would like water, and then never coming back with water to it taking close to 35 minutes from when we were seated to have a server actually acknowledge us and take our drink and appetizer order. My husband asked if there were any drink specials since it was Friday and Cinco De Mayo and he was told that there was only lady’s BOGO special only to see later that there were in fact holiday drink specials. The hostess apologetically saw us waiting for our food for well over an hour and tried to have a manager come over to us but he went to the wrong table and bought them a round of drinks. She came back to check if he came over to us and when I told her I thought I saw and overheard him go to the wrong table she was so sweet and kept trying to make it right. She really was the best part of your restaurant and the only person that seemed to care. The manager never came over but at that point our food finally came, although my fajitas came without the tortillas or sides so just a skillet of meat and veggies, my husbands burrito without the sides, sauce or cheese. All & all a very frustrating experience. After all of that to end up spending over $100 after tip on a disappointing meal and close to 3 hours at a restaurant (yes we still tipped because the issues weren’t 100% on the server) I will say the place could at some point be good, the atmosphere is nice just turn down the music alittle and get better organized. The servers are all over the place instead of working sections. The runners have no idea what table numbers are where, and it’s apparent that the kitchen doesn’t know the menu.

Amy, we're sorry for your experience. We had only been open 2 months and this was our first Cinco de Mayo, we are still training out staff and we were not prepared for the crowds that came out, at one point we had to close our front doors and not let anyone else into the bar area! We are working on training our staff and hiring more staff and hoping that you'll come back on a normal night to give us another chance and try out the real Tulum dinner experience!

Food came out not as ordered and Luke warm. Floor was understaffed and my wife and I could wait to finish and leave. Had asked to speak to the manager but he never came over to us.

The food and our server Sara was outstanding. She welcomed us and was very attentive. She explained what items were on the menu, we need to return to try them. The Beef Birria and Carne Asada tacos were delicious.
