Slow but friendly service, food could be much better not impressed with it, specially with the kind of chef they have in house, drinks are not well balanced at all, oh for sure they love coconuts it’s on everything. It looks like they don’t want their clientele to spend money. I could barely finish my second drink.
The food was excellent.
Excellent food and service
Ok atmosphere. Food was average at best. Drinks were too sweet.
Overcrowded and understaffed. The wait for entrees was nearly 2hrs and then the food was a bit bland. Not worth the wait nor the cost. Overall disappointing.
The food was creative, exciting and excellent.. just like the ambience, service and energy
Food was fantastic. One of the best meals I’ve had in this town. Service and skinny margs were great too
The food was good and very authentic
Amazing food and ambiance! The decor is fantastic and food is sublime. Great dining experience! Coconut margarita was perfect!
Their avocado appetizer and steak entree were so delicious and the presentations of all their food is excellent.
Not accommodating to food allergies.
Food for brunch was phenomenal! Avocado Xichel, Breakfast tacos and Pancakes were all unique and delicious. Ambiance is gorgeous. Service was good, but server never checked in with us after we got our food. Would definitely go back
Definitely had higher expectations after reading reviews and seeing the menu.
Service felt very odd and few awkward encounters led to a disappointing dinner. Only thing good about this place was the food. Unfortunately will not return.
Delicious dishes and great service. This was our first time back since COVID started and I was pleased to see that all the staff were following safety protocols.
Nice atmosphere and great food. Perfect for date night!
We were so severely rushed. We ordered three courses that came out so quickly it left us with mains cooling on the table as we tried to enjoy our appetizers.
The meal felt a bit rushed. Our server was friendly, but other staff was a bit curt.
We had excellent service! The food was overall quite good, with some room for improvement. The octopus and lamb chops were excellent. The roasted chicken was sous vide and therefore perfectly cooked, tender and juicy but could have used for seasoning (salt). Also I did not care for the sweet coconut rice that is served with it but that's more of a personal preference. We also had the sikil pak and the chips were stale...they were quickly replaced with fresh. The layout of the restaurant is quite awkward. You walk into a bar, and the host stand is in the middle of the restaurant at the intersection of the bar and two dining rooms, which created a bit of a "traffic jam" between us and the passing servers. It was very crowded and loud....glad we sat in the slightly quieter dining room, but was still difficult to hear my partner over the noise. Several other dishes on the menu sound really good, and we'll be back to try them.
Great food! Love the aesthetic of the place, it was a little piece of Mexico in Texas.
Great food service decent not spectacular for the price and location.
Dining room was really loud.
This place so cute!!! Such a great place to celebrate a birthday or special occasion!!
Now the food:
OH MA GAWD it was soo good, portions look small compared to your everyday Texas portions but it’s filling! Every single person at our table cleaned off their plates . From salmon, toenchiladas, baked chicken, lamb chops, the octopus, everyone loved their dishes. Every detail of the dishes are thought of, it’s plated nicely & each piece serves a purpose in making each bite delicious .
Two & I was good !
Can’t wait to go their again !
Great food. Nice atmosphere. Severely short staffed..as it seems many restaurants are these days. That would be my only
I will definitely be back! The food was amazing, service was great, and the atmosphere was on point.
Nice little cozy place
Noisy, music playing didn’t fit the Latin theme (wasn’t for me), service was very good.
Came for Mother’s Day and were seated promptly at a nice table. Chips were stale and thick. Waiter said it must have been a bad batch. Pancakes overcooked and dry. I asked for syrup to make them more moist, but didn’t help. Server offered to take them off the bill at least. Tacos were very good and fresh. Bathrooms were clean and decor and ambiance was nice.
Food was great! Service was lacking. Might return once the memory fades.
We were there but they said we canceled
They brought ketchup for bread.
They were stiff and unpersonable.
The food was fine but not better than what I could buy or do.
Amazed that they’re so popular. Can’t even hold a candle to Beverley’s or Toulouse for cocktails and fun and good food.
Only 2 tops left were not acceptable - one near service entrance and one to close to 2 couples - are at the bar
Bar menu must have been limited- not many choices. Bartender was great - attentive, friendly, on the spot.
Guess that’s what you get for last minute on a Saturday in Dallas.
Great night best service!!!
The ambiance and energy at Tulum is electric. The menu selections offer a new take on classics and inventive new dishes. Our meal was delicious. The chef, also of Jalisco Norte, is a treasure, we are lucky to have him in Dallas. We will be returning.
Food was fabulous. Music was too loud.
Too loud to have conversations.
My wife and I had dinner at Tulum for our 6th anniversary and had a memorable experience. We had cocktails (margarita, 357-their version of an old fashioned, ranch water), an appetizer (elote), the pork dish, a flat steak, and Mexican chocolate cake for dessert, all good and drinks were well crafted and delicious. The service was incredibly good, attentive and congratulatory of our special occasion, even providing us a complimentary glass of champagne. We will be going back soon.
Loved our server! Tio (?) Coming back in two weeks with family
The experience @ Tulum is always amazing when I bring friends from out of town! It’s always my go-to place for our catch up sessions. The Ambiance is perfect & the food is amazing! Our server Tony was helpful & attentive, couldn’t have asked for better service. I was taken by surprise and learned the Chef Jose Meza was out and actually helping with guest and inquiring on food quality, one more reason I’ll be coming back for sure 😉
Excellent food and service. My wife and I will be back for sure.
I took my GF here on Saturday and the octopus was burned, and the shrimp cocktail platter was too sweet. The drinks were rough to a swallow as they were either too salty/oily or too harsh. The customer service was extremely good and so was the ambiance.
Hi Joshua, Thank you very much for your last visit with us and for letting us know what you've enjoyed the most and what you didn't, we are always working to make it better, we have a new menu rolling out in the next week and there might be new flavors that you could enjoy better. Chef Jose Meza
