We booked Tulum for dinner arrived to find out they shut the restaurant down permabtly, so we were stuck, trying to find a nice restaurant at the last second because they didn’t have the courtesy to alert the existing reservations.

Underwhelming. Food needed salt and spices were very bland. Salsa was just lime sauce tomatillo. Service was friendly but slow. Food served warm Skipped dessert. Definitely not worth the cost for the lack of flavor and mid service.

We were in town for a family affair, and since we were all missing Mother's Day brunch at home, in Baltimore, MD, I searched on Open Table for a place near our hotel in Dallas. I wanted to go to a restaurant with cuisine I couldn't find at home. Tulum did not disappoint. The restaurant was beautiful, and the service and food were outstanding. We loved the server, the food and the atmosphere.'

Usually a great place with good food. The service was very poor this time. We had to get up and get help to pay our bill, get a straw, and put in a order.

We had a good waiter, Armando, who made excellent drink and dinner recommendations with my "Flower in the Desert Hibiscus" drink and the Pork Belly with Mole and Salad entree. Beautiful decor in the bar area. My only disappointment is that I never received a call back after leaving 3 messages to try to make reservations for 6 people. We made reservations for 2 on line as it noted there was no seating available for a party of 6. However, we noticed our 6:30pm reservation had plenty of open seating where 6 people could have been worked in. Maria

The chips and salsa, guacamole with radish and flounder were wonderful. I sent back the ceviche as it was very fishy and did not taste good to be fair. I should’ve asked about the seafood used it. Joe was our bartender server and was great.
