The food was good and the service was attentive but not intrusive. I would definitely recommend Tullibee for Brunch.
We were in town for the vikings game and to meet friends to celebrate their anniversary. This was our first time at the restaurant. We loved the creative menu and the locally sourced foods from farm to table.
Had a delicious charcuterie meat & cheese appetizer. Everyone really enjoyed their entree’s, market fish - monk fish, dry-aged flank steak and butchers cut 14oz ribeye. Tullibee has a nice bottle wine selection as well.
There’s no doubt that this restaurant is really expensive, but we have a phenomenal time every time we go. Our server was great! The food was spectacular, especially the beef tartare. Wine selections paired really well too. Good cocktails, great people watching, always a good choice for a special occasion.
Tullibee provided one of the best brunch experiences I have ever had, and I've been brunching many years in many cities with great food. (They've got a butcher in house and everything is local/regional, so that is an excellent start.) Our server was wonderful – incredibly personable, funny, and knowledgable. Everything our group of 6 ate was exquisite: the lefse (the chef's grandma's recipe we were told), the pancakes, the brisket hash, Monte Cristo (made with waffles instead of bread!), and the 8-herb bloody Mary's. All in a beautiful, bright, open space. A+. If I lived in Minneapolis, I think I'd come here every weekend. :-)
The decor is lovely and the food lives up to its reviews and reputation. We did not get the table we wanted and the restaurant was very noisy.
Your menu caused much confusion ... is there a problem calling sections by their recognizable names?
When you charge the prices Tullibee charges, we should not have to think about our choices for 20 minutes.
We shared 1 entree, 2 sides and dessert- all of it was so delicious! Our server, Philip, was attentive without hovering, helped us make decisions about cocktails, food and port- he k ew his stuff and all his recommendations were spot on!
Thank you Philip for the loose leaf mint tea on a cold fall day
Food was great but was not timed well in terms of delivery
Otherwise, great meal - server Phil was good, but a bit over matched
Wonderful birthday dinner. The waiter was informative and sociable. The food was wonderful, well presented, and seasonal. Great overall experience!
Great food, great drinks, great experience. Check out the rooftop bar after dinner for a perfect view of the city
There are restaurants I would recommend before this one.
I energetically recommend Tullibee! We had such a fabulous time with our waitress Kate who was knowledgable, helpful, and extremely fun. She set the tone for the whole night. There were 4 of us and the food was so good we ended up sharing everything, which was anywhere between excellent and out of this world! Can't wait to get back.
Loud pricey good food small portions
Very quaint spot with top notch service. Food was delicious (best for meat eaters). Ambiance was pleasant, but you can't escape that you're in a hotel (which you may not mind). Premium prices, but for the most part, worth the bill.
We took a friend to Tullibee who was in the Cities in business. This man travels the world eating in fine dining establishments. He was very impressed. The evening started at the roof top bar on a 75 degree September evening. Super nice patio with a great view of the city. The scallops were beyond fabulous, the risotto was excellent, and the 14 oz rib eye the waitress suggested was cooked exactly the way we requested. Very tasty. She suggested we order the rib eye and share it family style. Great idea. We will be back.
The food felt very fancy and upscale so it was perfect for our anniversary! The cocktails were so unique and delicious!
We had a great meal and a fun time. The hostess, however, was extremely rude to us.
The ambiance at the Hewing was wonderful. Very unique and fun. I would say that I wasn't as impressed with food as I thought I would be. I have been looking forward to dining at the Hewing/Tulibee and wasn't necessarily blown away. Maybe it was my food choice or maybe they offer better food at dinner or lunch but the brunch was just alright.
Super friendly staff, tasty food, and comfortable atmosphere.
Fantastic. Loved it so much we went back the next night. The duck breast was out of this world. The broccolini and risotto were also outstanding. And best old fashions. We loved the atmosphere and design as well. Go!
Excellent food; great service; a bit pricey, but the unique dishes were worth the cost.
Enjoyed the first visit to the Hewing, including a quick elevator ride to the roof to experience be a jaw-dropping view of the downtown skyline. As for Tullibee, it was a good experience. We enjoyed the restaurant setting and very much appreciated the palatable acoustics/noise level, a dining factor that gets increasingly more frustrating. The waitperson, Phillip, was excellent in relevant categories (attentiveness, good communication skills in providing food information, charming demeanor). The food was very good. I might have expected more of the $60 steak, but the halibut was fine and the sides adventurous.
Food was very unique and flavorful but a bit expensive.
beautiful and delicious dining. highly recommended
We love the ambience, food, and service here. The serving sizes are decent and you get what you pay for. Yes, it's a bit on the spendy side, but it's on of the best meals for awhile I've had. We had the Beets, Duck, Asparagus, and Banana Dessert. Can't wait to go back!
The food was solid, creative, and seasonal. The service was somewhat inattentive, annoyingly interactive, and not food- or wine-knowledgeable. The wine menu was limited; despite some solid selections, two wines were outright terrible. The dining room was smoky, presumably because of insufficient kitchen exhaust system, and it left us ready-eyes and stinky. I have no regrets but can do better elsewhere next time. It was a budget-friendly meal, though.
Restaurant has a great design and feel. The staff is friendly, attentive, and surprisingly funny. The food was great but the duck was a little over cooked and the turnips a bit bland.
Delicious food! Most of us ordered the breakfast hash... yum! Lovely atmosphere and I love the Faribault woolen mill coozies!
Very lovely meal to celebrate our anniversary !
Had an enjoyable dinner at Tullibee. Our very excellent server Katie offered an idea for us share the butcher special which was a generously portioned, 110 day aged steak, along with sides of grilled asparagus and roasted potatoes. This proved to be an excellent suggestion as the steak would have been too much for either of us alone and the side portions were more than enough. The steak was pricey but flavorful. I would have preferred the potatoes without the cheese topping and the same for the asparagus - the cheese and sauce on the asparagus make for a very rich meal. We also shared the beet salad as a starter. It was wonderful and again, enough to share. The desserts were exceptional and attractively presented. Drinks were good. We asked for and were given a quieter table at the back of the restaurant which we appreciated on a busy Saturday. We will return but hopefully on a night when we can find street parking and not have to pay the $16 valet charge!
The space and restaurant were beautiful. Hani, our server was not responsive and did not come to our table after the order was taken. We had to hail others to take care of us. The coffee was cold, the busboy made us a new hot pot of coffee. 2 of the 3 omelettes were cold, one was sent back. One of the omelettes did not have the chives garnish...apparently they forgot! There was only ONE spoon for coffee for three of us. She did not use any customer service skills in serving us. An effective server comes to the table approximately 5-6 times to check on customers and service. Especially, for the spendy cost of this meal, all three of us would REconsider coming back.
A great dining experience! The food was fantastic with great menu selections that included meats that are butchered on the premises. Our waiter John was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and was very helpful in making our choices for the evening. The decor of the restaurant is a sort of hip industrial/rustic chic that we really liked. I highly recommend Tulibee!
Fabulous service!! Phil took good care of us. The food was beautiful and tasty.
It was trying something new.
Portions are ok in size. Some dishes were not well described in menu but wait staff was very knowledgeable. Not a kid friendly restaurant though.
The atmosphere is amazing - I love the aesthetic. The service was great, but my burger definitely needed more salt. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back.
We had a very good meal. My husband and I each ordered a dish from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd course and then we shared a dessert. Of the 7 dishes I think 4 were fabulous, and 3 were just okay. My husband had the duck leg for his 3rd course and thought it was outstanding. We shared the lingonberry krumkake dessert and that was absolutely fabulous.
The service was excellent. We had a lot of attention at our table. Water pouring, plate clearing, table resetting. And our server was very knowledgeable on all the dishes and had good recommendations for us.
Wonderful dinning experience. Foods were exquisite and service was great. The only thing was our waitress's nails. Long dirty nails made me loose my appetite.
