Lore states that brunch originated here, as did the Grasshopper cocktail. Homages to the restaurant's long and colorful history abound within the interior of the building from the classic 19th century architecture to memorabilia on the walls.
Menu items such as the seared gulf fish and the daily gumbo meld French traditions with New Orleans fare and flare. Our famous five course menu is still served nightly; but have no fear, the menu is no longer pre-fixe, so those less ravenous diners can join in too.

OUR NEW FAVORITE, in a city where you can't get a bad meal. We wandered in one night for a pre-dinner cocktail at a renowned restaurant, and didn't want to leave. Highly recommend.
Our server, Alissa, was outstanding. Bar B Que Shrimp, delicious. Friends meals of fish, prime ribs and pork chops, complemented. Soup trio in demitasse cups! Well served!

Our server was so sweet, I wish I could say something nicer about the place overall. The food (brunch) was uninspired and too salty. The ambiance was just mediocre, and the dining room had a ‘kitchen water’ smell to it. It was all very overpriced. I wanted to experience the 100YO tradition. But they are trading too much on reputation and not enough on delivery. I guess they can get away with it, with the tourist trade. Like the tourists - I won’t be going back.
Wonderful reveillon menu and delicious cocktails. This was our first time to the new location and it was beautiful.

Great food and service. The mushroom and goat cheese crepes were exceptional. I didn’t care for the cocktail I ordered, but I wasn’t going to bring it to anyone’s attention. However, a manager noticed I had not drank very much of it and offered to replace it with a different drink. Will definitely be back.
Dinner was very good and the service was outstanding. The restaurant was out of a couple things but the server was extremely helpful in selecting a different option. Nice atmosphere and no rushing us. I had never eaten here and it was a very pleasant experience. Definitely going back next time I’m in town.
Went for a birthday meal with my girlfriend, it was a fantastic all around experience. Delicious food, top notch service, ambience was very nice.

I visited Tujagues today for a post wedding lunch and I couldn’t of picked a better restaurant in the French Quarter! The staff was friendly and polite. Was seated fast and drink orders came quickly. The food was amazing! I can’t wait to visit here again soon!!

We were seated an hour and a half after our reservations, the first course was not available, it took 45 minutes to receive the second course, and the entree and dessert that we came for were not available.
We waited almost 2 hours to be seated, despite our 8:30 reservation for the Thanksgiving dinner. Then there were no more soup, no more duck, no more bread pudding... Our server was rude because she was exhausted and was apparently working for about 12 hours. When we finally got some food, it was bland, not anything cajun and tasty that you would expect eating in such restaurant in NOLA. Very very deceiving.
This was easily the worst restaurant experience that I’ve ever had and it was Thanksgiving dinner. We had a reservation at 8:30 and sat at almost 10. Food was cold and they ran out of mostly everything from their prix fixe
We arrived at 7:20 pm and at 10pm we still had not eaten. Poor planning and understaffed! Everyone else said the food was good.
They over booked, we got in two hours after our reservation and half the food was gone. Everyone was passed including the staff

Terrible experience for Thanksgiving- made reservations for 730PM, arrived at 710pm and was not seated until 830PM, did not get our dessert until almost 11pm. It was a set menu for Thanksgiving and they ran out of 2 courses of the 4 course menu. Management overbooked and the wait staff and kitchen were completely overwhelmed and overworked. Several people who had reservations at 6PMwere not seated until 8PM. Ridiculous Management!
We made a reservation for thanksgiving dinner at 7:30 and finally were seated around 8:45. They were way overbooked. They gave us several excuses. They ran out of the soup they had on the menu, so they gave us something that was barely warm and had little flavor. The salad was drowned in dressing. The entrée was subpar. The mashed potatoes or whatever they were tasted like they came out of a box. The last straw was when they said they ran of desert. We felt bad for our server who was apologetic and running around like her feet were on fire but the entire staff was in a bad mood. It could have been avoided if the restaurant didn’t overbook. They got greedy because it was thanksgiving.
The staff and GM are great, but Thanksgiving was a total disaster, from waiting 1+ to be seated to the absolutely terrible/inetible cold entrees. The restaurant was overbooked 3 fold, in spite of all that I will give them another chance because of the staff, GM and their stellar reputation and customer service.
The reastaurant overbooked way more than they could handle with their staff. Had to wait outside for 2 hours past our reservation time and had to dine indoors even though our reservation was for outdoor seating.
The serving staff and kitchen put on a valiant effort to take care of customers but were drowning in the flood of reservation holding customers that were way more than the assigned staff could handle.
The restaurant should have called and notified us that day that there was no outdoor seating and that we would have to wait long.
It was thanksgiving so I was not expecting what happened. Our reservation was for 6:30 and got seated at 8 which isn’t really a problem things happen. Then we were seated with no silverware or napkins and not served at the same time. We only made it to the salad course which looked and tasted very watered down then waited an hour or so for our food but decided to leave not only because of the food but the overall experience was not at all what i was hoping it would be.
I am very sorry that we dropped the ball on your holiday dining experience! I would like to invite you back, on us, to show that your meal not only didn't meet our standards, but also is not our norm.
Thanksgiving meal was excellent
They were a bit overwhelmed with the thanksgiving crowd but the food was delicious.
ABSOLUTE DISASTER. Reservation at 6pm. Seated at 7:30.
It’s 9:06 pm and I’m still here having gotten 5 spoons of cold soup. No salad. No entree. No desert. THE ONLY REASON I WILL PAY IS I DON’T WANT OUR SERVER’S NIGHT TO GET WORSE.
I appreciate that they where open on Thanksgiving but it took an hour longer to get seated (5:30 reservation 6:30 ish seated) It made us rush through our meal (we had to take our dessert to go) and we had to rush to our schedule walking tour at 8:00. And asparagus was on the set menus however green beans where on the plate with my husbands steak medium well versed medium rare. He wasn’t a happy camper. Overall it was a disappointment for $340 we spent on 4 meals and wine of which also came late so we left half a bottle. But I was thankful they where open on Thanksgiving.
Getting checked in was chaotic, confusing lines, no one seemed to be in charge of the growing crowd even tho the people at the check in desk were very calm. Parties were being announced by yelling names.
Only two bartenders were serving on Thanksgiving day!!! For the entire restaurant plus everyone waiting for a table. One bartender was not in any hurry to accommodate the crowd. Our meals were good but might have cost $28 anywhere else instead of the $54 pp. Our server was great!!! The guy who was running up and down stairs to seat people was amazing....The elevator was out.

May of just been an off night. Way over booked kitchen struggled. Both fish and duck was marginal- way to much salt guys!

It was thanksgiving day and ridiculously crowded and busy. A lot of the staff were new and inexperienced but were very nice and all the staff were kind, patient and had a good attitude with the customers. There was a wait, even with reservations but I expected there might be delays seeing how crowded it was. The food and cocktails were amazing and the prix fixe dinner was outstanding. Especially the traditional turkey with oyster dressing! The price was reasonable compared to other similar restaurants in the Quarter for thanksgiving. Even with the crowds, we did not feel rushed at all and enjoyed a really lovely thanksgiving holiday dinner. FYI - for diners with physical challenges, the only restrooms are upstairs and the elevator was not working, so be prepared for steps. I would definitely go back again.
Long wait (35 minutes) after stated reservation time.
Male waiter was rude, snide, patronizing and should not be in the business. Jasmine made up for it. She was accommodating and helpful.
Soup, vegetable curry, was cold. Salad was OK.
Turkey, dressing, etc. was bland. Bread pudding desert was undercooked and pasty. It took 20 minutes from the end of the main course to get desert, which was not worth the wait.
No checking of COVID vaccination status -AT ALL!

We do, and certainly should have been checking for COVID vax cards as it is mandated by the city. We definitely miss the mark for the holiday. Came here for Thanksgiving dinner two years ago and hoped to have the same great experience but tonight was a debacle. Waited 30 minutes for a table in a sardine-packed bar (so much for social distancing) even though we were on time for our 5pm reservation. Place was packed; either they did not have enough staff or else they double booked every table. They put a rowdy table of 12 in a small upstairs back room which made it impossible for other diners to hear their own conversation or enjoy the meal. The saving grace was the food is always amazing except they ran out of the soup on the price fixe menu (how do you run out of soup by 6pm on Thanksgiving?) and the bread pudding was solid as a brick.
I was very disappointed that Tujagues booked many more reservations than their staff could handle.
I have enjoyed many holiday meals at Tujagues - but I will never book a holiday meal their again.
I think we were in the room DiBo mentioned. A table of 10-12 loud diners in a quiet room ruins it for everyone. And yes, we also checked in with the host at 430 for our 445 and waited and waited and waited to be seated. The food was good though the pork was over cooked.
This was our first and last time dining here.
No control over the front of the house. An hour wait for a reservation. Not going back

We made a reservation here for Thanksgiving. The reservation was for 2:30, we were seated at 3:15. At 4:00 we asked when the food would arrive. At 4:05 we were brought cold soup. At 4:15 we found the waitress, paid for our drinks and left. Found a great little place down the road where, unlike Tujague’s, the staff were friendly, attentive and were actually happy to have us. Would highly recommend walking past Tujague’s and find a place that cares.
