Tujague's - New Orleans
Lore states that brunch originated here, as did the Grasshopper cocktail. Homages to the restaurant's long and colorful history abound within the interior of the building from the classic 19th century architecture to memorabilia on the walls.
Menu items such as the seafood courtbouillon and the daily gumbo meld French traditions with New Orleans fare and flare. Our famous five course menu is still served nightly; but have no fear, the menu is no longer pre-fixe, so those less ravenous diners can join in too.
If you want a quintessential New Orleans experience filled with history and local fare, Tujague's is your place.

The food was unimaginative and NOLA usual.
Isabel was a a great server and the food showcased the uniqueness and flair of New Orleans. We highly recommend the brisket and the eggs Benedict.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it, and we will be sure to share your accolades with Isabel and the team.
This was absolutely the worst experience we have ever had at a restaurant any where in the world. And we have traveled a lot. Got there and got seated, got a menu and wine list, and sat there for thirty minutes with no attention whatsoever. We asked for our waiter several times with no success. Finally just got up and walked out . We come to New Orleans several times a year . Will NEVER go back to Tujague’s again !!
Gigi, we are incredibly sorry to hear this. There is no excuse for your table not being attended to and we apologize for this. We would really like to have a chance to make up for it, if you will allow us the opportunity. Please reach out to Nancy Weinstock, our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, directly at 504-525-8676.
Food was poor, one of the ‘hot’ dishes was cold, the pork belly and duck crepes were inedible.
We are very sorry that this was your experience at Tujague's! We really hope that we may have the chance to make up for this and prove that we can certainly do much better. Please contact our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Nancy Weinstock, directly at 504-525-8676.
The service was excellent, sadly the food was not. My friend’s scallops were cold on the inside, my broiled oysters had gritty sand in half of them. The best part of the meal was the delicious bread pudding, but aside from that the food was a let down and the ambiance just so so.
We are so sorry that your experience at Tujague's was anything less than 5 stars. We apologize for the disappointing food preparation and will share this information with our kitchen team. Should you wish to speak with anyone further regarding your dining experience with us, please feel free to reach our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Nancy Weinstock, directly at 504-525-8676. We hope that in the future we may have the chance to prove that we can do better!
Great restaurant, Great food and great history. The servers were also excellent.
Dion, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Ok. Will not go again

Please feel free to call Jeremy Barrios, our General Manger, directly at 504-525-8676. Again, we apologize for a disappointing experience!
Good food! waiter too busy, stated busier than expected. Cocktails starters entree done in 45 minutes not how I expect to spend >$100.
We sincerely apologize that your experience was anything less than 5 stars. It is certainly not our intention to make you feel rushed or that our servers do not provide enough attention to your table. We are very sorry that this happened during your time at Tujague's. Should you wish to speak with anyone further, please feel free to reach our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Nancy Weinstock, directly at 504-525-8676. We hope that in the future we may have a chance to make up for this experience!
Tasty and potent Bloody Marys and delicious, well executed brunch options make this a great place for leisurely Saturday dining.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you all enjoyed brunch at Tujague's!
Our waiter was wonderful and bery knowledgeable on wine, the food and the history of the restaurant.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed everything!!
Lovely food, unusual flavours in a very French setting in heart of French Quarter
Caroline, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Stopped into Tujague's for Sunday Brunch. Insider tip: end of July is the PERFECT time to visit NOLA, no lines to be found anywhere! I had made reservations on Opentable but it was entirely unnecessary as we were almost the only people in the place at 2pm. Our server David was the bomb, he took great care of my wife and I and had great stories about the restaurant, its history as well as an outstanding knowledge of the menu. The food was fantastic and David even gave us a tour of the building after we finished eating. I highly recommend Tujague's!
Thank you so much for coming in! We are so glad you all enjoyed everything, and we will certainly pass along this message to David.
Old NewOrleans ambiance. Courtbouillion and gumbo were both excellent. The grasshopper drinks - invented there - were also very good.
Thank you for dining with us!
A classic, historic restaurant in the French Quarter. Excellent menu options. Service was superb! Try the crispy Pork Belly appetizer Everything each of us had was delicious. Great wine list. Highly recommend!
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad that you enjoyed your dining experience. We'll share your comments about the pork belly with our team.
Very nice light dinner. Waiter immediately surprised us with champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Tried the charbroiled oysters, gumbo and shrimp salad- all tasty. Would come again.
Ambies, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you chose to celebrate your anniversary with us!!
Quite honestly, I expected better.
After hearing about this iconic destination for so many years, all five of us were disappointed in the selection, the ambience, and the overall value.
Let me say this, I understand that one visit may not tell the real story, but as a traveler, I have only one shot!
Someone needs to update the wall decor. The bottles make the room look old and rundown.
The menu was fairly short with just a few classic NOLA items.
Service was okay but for the prices, should have been more attentive.
Once again...my opinion only. Please don't kill the messenger.
Hi Gary, we apologize that your experience was anything less than 5 stars! We will share this information with our entire team. The liquor bottles hung around the dining room were part of the personal collection of the late Steven Latter. His son, the current owner, wanted to pay tribute to such a beloved man in the industry. Perhaps, we do not do a proper job of conveying the incredible history of the place. Again, we appreciate your honesty and will take all of it into consideration.
Great food and service and a wonderful part of New Orleans history!
Ryan, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us!!
Very small crowd (although it was early in the evening and it was in the middle of the summer). Waiter was fantastic (sorry I don’t remember his name) he was very personable and extremely knowledgeable of wines and the dishes. Summer multi-course meals is definitely the way to go.
Thank you so much for dining at Tujague's! We are so glad you all enjoyed your experience.
We go every time we are in New Orleans! Always great
Laurie, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!! Can't want to have you in next time you are in town.
Delightful dining experience and our waiter was very attentive. Our food was excellent and we will definitely return next trip to New Orleans.
Sandra, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it, and can't wait to have you back on your next trip to New Orleans!!
What a pleasant culinary experience. We struggled over where to dine for our one night in New Orleans and decided on Tujagues. It was fantastic! We splurged and got the five course dinner and enjoyed every course from the shrimp remoulade to the gumbo, which was wonderful; the brisket was tender and delicious and both my fish and my husband’s tuna was very good, too. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The wine was perfect, too. We had a lovely dinner and I will return next time I’m in the crescent city.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad that you enjoyed your experience at Tujague's. We can't wait to see you on your next visit!!
Most amazing experience with the food, service & ghostly encounter in the women's bathroom..I can't get that from where I come from!
Nicole, thank you for coming in! We are so glad that you had a great experience at Tujague's.
Great Food and Cool Atmosphere.
I am a Local and Tujague’s is one of my favorite lunch or dinner spots in the FQ.
Jonathan, thank you so much for coming in! We always enjoy serving locals, and we truly thank you for your continued patronage. We hope to see you again soon!!
Everything was good. Our waiter Clarence did a great job.
Chuck, thank you for dining with us! We will certainly pass your accolades on to Clarence!!
We were very disappointed in our meal selection (except for gumbo) and rarely, if ever, have expressed dissatisfaction to any restaurant wait staff. Perhaps other menu choices would have been better.
Our waiter graciously sought to make amends together with the manager - for which we were most appreciative.
Even though our first dining experience was less than hoped for, we will be back to try it again. Tujague’s has a great reputation; we would love to lend support to that honor.
Linda, we are so sorry that your dining experience was anything less than 5 stars. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and honesty. Should you wish to speak with anyone further regarding your experience, please feel free to reach our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Nancy Weinstock, directly at 504-525-8676. Again, we truly apologize that this was your experience, and we hope that in the future we may have the chance to prove that we can do much better!
We had an wonderful dining experience at Tujague's - the bar vs. the dining room are like night and day (and both are great!). We had a quiet dinner in this historic restaurant (vs. the lively bar next-door). It's in a fantastic location in the Quarter, and the chef surprised us with 4 grasshoppers to top off our already incredible meal! Try the bread pudding souffle! I can't wait to go back, and I can't recommend the restaurant enough!
Margaret, thank you for coming in!
The waiter was very nice and brought us some bubbly, since it was our anniversary, but the food was very disappointing and lackluster. The char-grilled oysters were dry and flavorless, the fried green tomatoes were tough and had very little sauce, and the seared tuna was also kind of tough. The dishes were on the menu, the service was fine, but the cooks were phoning it in. I would go back to all the other places we ate in New Orleans, but not here.
Amazing Louisiana inspired cuisine. Very accommodating for gluten-free or vegan. Great choices between the classics with a slight twist or other comfort foods. Great servers, friendly and attentive. Bar area before entering restaurant great place to grab a cocktail before or after. Really enjoyed this place and the prices were fair and reasonable.
Daniel, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Really amazing experience and we were very pleasantly surprised. Great food and wine! Will return next time we are in New Orleans
Thank you for coming in!
Amazing classic New Orleans style food. Noise level in the dining area is very energetic which is good if you’re up for energy but pretty loud if you have a business type lunch or dinner. Great wine list and outstanding service.
Thank you for dining with us! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Not my favorite experience. The brisket is usually so tender and flavorful. On this visit we went later in the evening. I received three separate pieces of brisket, only one was edible. They others were too tough to consume. Thankfully the gumbo n bread was great along with the service. Will go earlier next time!
We apologize that the brisket was not up to par. We will definitely share this information with the rest of our team. Thank you for sharing this feedback!
Excellent food. They were busy so a little bit slow, but worth the wait.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Our waitress, Michelle, was terrific. Very professional and efficient and warm and friendly. The meal arrived very quickly and was to die for. The only thing that dampened the experience was a big table of very loud dinner guests next to us.
Terri, thank you for coming in! We will definitely pass on the accolades to Michelle.
The staff made everything perfect for us! We would go back again!
Allen, thank you so much for dining with us! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
I had the five course meal and everything was great! Make sure you try a Grasshopper while you’re there.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Service person gave interesting historical background explanation about each dish and drink. The owner came to our table to greet as well. Every dish we ordered was excellent!!
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
I read an article in a Southwest magazine during a flight two years ago that mentioned a secret chicken. It was a great homemade fried chicken. My son loved the brisket.
Diana, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed our Chick Bonne Femme and that your son enjoyed our famous brisket!!
This would be great for people who like wine and would love a good ‘pairing’ experience. The restaurant has gone to great lengths to pair a wine with everything they serve. I’m sure if I was a wine drinker the food would have rated a 5 star.
Thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed your experience!
Excellent service, food, and environment! One of our “must haves” whenever we’re down for a visit. Highly recommended!
Zeke, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
Truly authentic ambience and absolutely perfect food. Couldn't face a desert because I was so full.
Michael, thank you for coming in! We are so glad you enjoyed it!!
