Tudor City is a such a great find as it’s this little oasis on the east side, surrounded by a bustling city and Tudor City Steakhouse just tops it off as the local restaurant that everyone just wants to kick back, have a great quiet meal and great view.
Request Miguel to be your waiter.
We ate outside and there was a major gnat problem. Service was not great, but the food is excellent
The ambience is perfect! The steak for me can be improved. Its ok but can be better
We were a party of 13 on a very quiet summer Friday and the service and food could not have been worse.
There were several calls prior to the dinner to discuss service and expectation, none of which apparently was communicated to the waiters or the kitchen staff.
We had requested Pellegrino and Tap water to flow throughout the meal, and the first thing the waiter informed us when he came to offer water 20 minutes after we were seated was that they were out of Pellegrino water. It continued to go downhill from there.
3 of my guests ordered a glass of wine when the order was taken, and these came to the table after the second course was served, which was another disaster, it took 20 minutes for the entire table to be served each course and then all of the meats were cooked incorrectly. Topping the night off... the deserts, tiramisu... FROZEN on the inside.
I've never in my life had a worse dining experience than this one.
My husband and I collectively worked over 35 years in NYC restaurants, mostly 4 star establishments and we understand the challenges that can present in a night of service, therefore can be very forgiving and accept a lot of flaws when presented in certain circumstances, but this was absolutely inexcusable throughout.
Although a beautiful location, not worth it and an absolute waste of money, for the amount that we paid and the tip given PRIOR to the service, we could have gone to a 4 star restaurant, paid the same amount and saved the aggravation and embarrassment in front of our invited guests.
I ate brunch here with a friend. Delicious and speedy service.
GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! Service, food & everything was perfect!
The manager itself was there greeting ❤️ everyone working there had a perfect knowledge with the restaurant menu!
They offered us many options as we’re not eating pork & alcoholic cooked stuff.
Thank you! Will come again for sure👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Understaffed. Slow service. But nice location and great outdoor dining option.
Service was good
Food preparation was fair at best
My lady & I both had Chicken Paillard
It was fair at best
Luis the waiter should be acknowledged for his
Superior service !!
What a charming place. It is one of the most peaceful places in midtown to have a lovely meal or to grab a drink.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very pleased that we met your expectations and we are looking forward to welcoming you again!
Food was decent, but our experience with the service was mediocre. Make sure you allow for plenty of time because simple things such as getting water or and extra piece of silverware took forever. My husbands food was cold and the reheat of it took 15 mins. Lastly, getting our check required us walking to the door before we could get it paid for.
Fabulous dinner, the Chicken Parmigiana was amazing, staff was great.
Delicious food and great service! Tucked away in Tudor city this was a hidden gem food was delicious service was spot on and we enjoyed everything we will definitely coming back!
The Tudor City Steakhouse is a gem located in Tudor City, away from the madness of NYC. The restaurant is situated across the street from one of the Tudor City Parks and the setting is beautiful. I've been there for many Happy Hours and also for lunch. The food is delicious, the wait staff is super friendly and accommodating and the ambiance is perfection.
I highly recommend if you are in the neighborhood. You won't be disappointed.
Celebrated Mother’s Day
It was Mother's Day and I suggested this restaurant to my 4 friends for brunch based on another friend's very good experience. Very disappointing. Eggs benedict was lukewarm at best, french toast was charred (should have taken a picture). Two omelettes friends said were good and the caesar salad with chicken was fine. BUT it all arrived 50 minutes after we ordered.
Waiting almost an hour for food on any day is inexcusable. To top it off there were no apologies made. It took me finally getting up and seeking out a manager to get our food. Waitress, bus boy, everyone I asked just kept saying "it is coming right out."
Will not return and will not recommend. Lovely venue ....too bad food and service did not match. Too many other good restaurants in NYC.
The food is great and the service was wonderful. It was great being able to feel comfortable with outdoor dining. We will definitely return!
Great outdoor dining structure with good air flow but somewhat sheltered from the elements. There is a small heating lamp but it won't do too much if it's chilly. The service was friendly and the food delicious - great steak and bacon, highly recommend the creme brulee!
It was a beautiful evening for outdoor dining, and the restaurant was very busy, but they had one waitress for all the tables, of which there were at least 10. She was great, but could only keep up with so much. Patrons are allowed to have their dogs come to dinner because it’s outside, but they were barking at each other constantly, and lastly, the porterhouse for 3 was fatty. We may try again during the week to see if it’s quieter and less hectic, but when you’re charging steakhouse prices, you want a steakhouse experience. Also, tacky little plastic butter pats as if at the diner? C’mon, step it up a bit.
