Tu y Yo Mexican Restaurant
Tu Y Yo Mexican Fonda is a restaurant that uses family recipes handed down through generations to prepare authentic Mexican meals. We offer sopes, tamales, vegetarian dishes, and for the adventurous palate, we offer grasshopper tacos. Everything is freshly made. Come prepared to eat as if you were invited to a Mexican home for lunch, dinner or Sunday Brunch.
We feature an array of traditional appetizers and delicious beverages that everyone can enjoy!
We shared Chicken Tinga which I have had many times before. We also shared a Deep Fried Avocado Taco Never had this before. It was way better than I expected. Although it is a main course we ate it as an appetizer to the Tinga. I finished with a plate of Flan. It is my favorite Flan.
Excellent creative food. Chile rellenos with shrimp, grasshopper tacos, avocado cake w pistachios- reminds you how good Mexican food can be.
Went to this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews, were a little surprised they did not have any salsa on the menu, ordered homemade guac, Chile relleno and pork tacos, Chile relleno was healthier than I would have like, and some of the vegetables had a microwave feel, it was okay overall but not as good as we were hoping for based on other reviews
Tu y Yo was delicious as always! The server was very accomodating when we added 2 more people to our group at the last minute.
It took over 1.5 hours to get our meal. I kid you not. The waiter kept saying food was coming out “very soon. “ after 1 hour of this nonsense I went into the kitchen. They were not even cooking anything. They simply didn’t have our order. It was absurd and too late to eat somewhere else.
The owner finally brought the food and apologized and gave us free chips and guacamole. Absurd.
Food was just ok even though we were starving. Keep away.
We live quite a distance away so don’t get to this restaurant very often. But we love it when we are able to make the trip. The food is delicious and different from the typical Mexican fare you usually see in the States. It took a little longer for our food to be served this time and our server forgot my drink order. Otherwise everything was wonderful. It was not a busy night, quiet and relaxing.
Yes, however I'd make sure they understood what to expect with the limited liquor license and somewhat lacking ambiance.
