Tsunami - Lafayette Ratings and Reviews
My Fiancée took me to eat dinner here for our two year anniversary and it was a wonderful time. They even gave us a dessert to celebrate. Which, made this 9 month pregnant mommy super happy. Our special day felt recognized and that was just so sweet to me. Food was amazing as always!
Food was really good as it is every time I have been. Service was a bit pushy trying to change our order after told what we wanted and telling her no to her suggestion once already. Worst part was making a reservation for the special occasion and being seated in a spot obviously made just to stuff an extra table for extra revenue. Under stairs in corner behind the waiting bench away from entire restaurant. Part of going to this place is the atmosphere. You get to stare at the valet tent and have all people waiting for a table practically sitting with you at yours. Whoever decided to put this table there should be fired, because even though I love the food, I will be going to a lower end sushi restaurant that will treat me and my guests as customers not military personnel going through a chow line. Price is fair for quality food, but deserves better accommodations and staff interaction for the $$$.
Took our early teen daughter and her boyfriend on their first date with a couple of her "buffer" friends. We all sat together in a booth. It was his first time eating sushi. All in all, they had a great night. I'm sure it'll be one that they'll always remember.
The food and service was amazing. Because the tables are somewhat close together, the noise level within the restaurant was somewhat higher than other restaurants. This made conversations during our business dinner somewhat louder than what I would have liked.
The experience was amazing and always vibrant want I go. This time it was my friend birthday and both of my friends tried sushi for the first time and LOVED IT! They can't wait to go back for the laid back and cozy, great drinks and friendly workers!!!
