I love this restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was top notch! Definitely coming back!
Food and service was great! Thank you for the anniversary dessert after our meal.
This is such a great spot! Everything was perfect from the food to the service. I will definitely be back!
Great plates to share, great selections of sake and great atmosphere! I'll definitely be back!
Love Food and Sake List👍✨
Good food but would appreciate more new dishes that are not deep fried.
Superb, strikingly imaginative twists on Japanese classics. A gem.
one of our own very favorite restaurants anywhere in the city and in the country.
Had to wait 30 minutes for our table
Croquets were amazing
Short ribs were tough
Tofu was utterly flavorless
Hard to read menus, small print and dark room
Exactly what I was looking for. Japanese cuisine at it’s finest near Silver Lake. The staff was great, the ambiance perfect for the occasion, the Sake among the best, and the food was the star of the show. Definitely worth another visit.
A 5-star experience in every respect! Seated promptly, superb service, and food, sake and Japanese beers on draft that are all terrific.
Parking: Street parking, which can be tough in LA area, good thing they provide valet parking.
The restaurant is a gem, tiny yet cozy. It's great for party of 2-4. The food is just absolutely bravo. Love the combination of flavor. Might be a bit on the pricey side if you want to fill up the tummy, make sure you order rice dish. will definitely go back again.
come as you are, as a friend as you want me to be, as a friend
the food was insane!
Lovely meal. Every bite was delicious.
Fantastic. New tastes and flavors, but never overcomplicated. Staff is incredibly helpful with both food and drink selections.
This is a charming establishment with wonderfully original cuisine served by a charming stuff. Truly a find.
Love it here
Great food. Great atmosphere. Sake list is incredible. Pricey but worth it.
Fried octopus was the best
Great sake and our server was very sweet
Always a pleasure. Delicious bites and great service in a lively yet serene atmosphere.
Amazing food and sake
Everything was perfect, except waitress over charged us 150$...
Outstanding as ever. Tsubaki is without a doubt the best restaurant I have been to in LA.
Great experience to show off for out of town guests.
The staff at Tsubaki went out of their way to accommodate us and make our meal special. Can’t wait to eat here again.
Food always amazing but the service was very slow. Some items only had 2/3 pieces (and we were a party of 4) and the waitress didn’t inform us about the shortage/to order more than one plate, etc.
Fantastic array of Japanese delicacies and great place to enjoy nibbles before a trek to Dodger Stadium
Took a really long time waiting to be seated for a reservation
Loved it! This was our first visit to Tsubaki and really enjoyed it.
We had 5 different glasses of sake and all were good. Three were spectacular. And the food was just as impressive. Between two of us, we split 5 items from the menu—for us, that ended up being just the right amount.
Started off with the wagyu tataki. (Which was fine, maybe a little overwhelmed by the really delicious fermented chili and broth. Probably wouldn't order this again, but it was nice to try a different take on wagyu).
Next up came the Chawanmushi, steamed off custard. That was amazing! Definitely a must next time we go.
Then in tandem came the tako-ten (fried octopus) and a special of grilled diver scallops. Yes and yes!
To finish, the 48-hour short ribs were perfect.
Really, what a lovely place. Service was just the right balance of friendly-to-professional and dishes came out and the perfect pace.
Highly recommended and look forward to returning.
Food was outstanding. Great, attentive, pleasant servers. Looking forward to going back again.
Dining at Tsubaki is a beautiful experience on so many levels! The food is a fresh spin on traditional Japanese flavors, it's complex yet effortlessly delicious. The ambiance is cozy NYC restaurant meets sophisticated Japanese design. Every time I dine here I marvel at something whether it's the perfect water glasses or the insanely cute chopstick rests, you'll love the elegant plating of each dish. Did I mention the wine and sake list? It's delightful and so is Tsubaki!
The place is charming, but three of our four dishes were tremendously over-salted.
Excellent food and sake selection! Waitstaff was so sweet and hospitable.
We had a reservation and arrived early, but were seated 10 minutes late... and my wife is 7 months pregnant.
The cuisine was amazing! Some of the best yakitori and izakaya to memory. Prices were a little high but quality made up for it. We would definitely return! Highlights: tofu salad!! Grilled Squid special, & Chicken Oysters. Great sake and wine selections...Valet available “on the street” but parking difficult otherwise.
A must try! Allow the server to guide you a bit. We got sake afterward at OTOTO, which I very much recommend. Sorry for closing it out.
Excellent service & even more excellent food. 👌🏽
Restaurant is amazing but parking (even valet) is an actual nightmare especially if a Dodger game is happening. I would Uber.
