About
A neighborhood fixture, and for good reason. The warm and friendly staff and owners always make us feel welcome and the food is consistently delicious.
The live jazz is top level, especially on Fridays, but conversation is not gonna happen too much those nights. The rest of the week the ambience is perfect.
I love this place. The proprietors have thoughtfully designed their space and dining experience to nurture with literature, art, music, color, and diversity of food choices. There has always been street parking (another perk)! I like the colorful outdoor garden space, but of course it is rather cool this time of year. Our favorite food is the Ethiopian vegetarian meal for two. The coffee was good. The deserts were original and unique. The diverse food and drink choices would make this a favorable experience for a group of family or friends who have different tastes.
This restaurant is amazing. The wait staff are super friendly and the restaurant is cozy. The food is amazing!
We love this restaurant! It really reflected the different cultures that it represents. A whole bookshelf is dedicated to customers who are interested being able to learn more about Ethiopian and African American history among other topics.
The food was also incredible! We came for dinner and loved the veggie combo for two with injera, and we ordered the ful appetizer and the malawach with honey dessert. Everything was amazing and we did not leave one drop. I loved the tequila sunrise with agave and grenadine and the Ethiopian honey wine.
Hope to come back for brunch soon!
