The service was incredible, as it has been before, but the menu was lacking compared to previous visits (no chicken?) and four out of the five of us got sick. And we all had different dinner selections. The food just did not taste that good, meaning certain parts of the main course tasted ok but sides were not good at all. Altogether, bad enough for us to consider not returning. But, to be clear, the wait staff were nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. But $300 to celebrate Mom’s birthday and have her not like her meal at all, plus the aforementioned general food issues makes this a 👎 for our family.
Food and service never disappoint! One of our favorite places to celebrate special events.
Wonderful food and service! We will be back!!!
Very pleasant staff and environment. They helped create a very relaxing Thanksgiving Dinner.
A wonderful, relaxed holiday experience with family! Enjoyed all the courses and never felt rushed. Everything was delicious, beginning with the Titanic, our favorite cocktail!
Best Thanksgiving dinner I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time!
Outstanding food and service! Highly recommend to anyone.
Wonderful atmosphere, great service and exquisite food.
Food was very good. Seems the kitchen was short staffed. Our food took a very long time to come out. Our waiter (only one for the entire section of a dozen tables) was great-apologized several times for the wait-but we were there for over 2 and half hours(party of 4 with appetizer, entree-no dessert because we were tired!)
Food took 90 minutes to prepare and was cold
Service was good but food came out quite slow. I had the short ribs were very tender and moist. My brother had the pork steak and it was perfectly cooked But on the cold side. We asked the waiter to have it (warmed in the microwave) We think our server misunderstood the instructions because it came back many minutes later and had been cooked further to an over cooked position. At that point in time he decided to eat it because we had waited so long for our dinner. I don’t recommend For large for parties. I think it’s probably more preferable for intimate couple dining. The chocolate torte was very good. However my brothers Apple pie biscuit seemed a bit crunchy and dry.
The food was excellent. But the service was lacking. Was very surprised of the limited menu and the fact that no one ever told us until we sat down at the table.
Went to Trummer’s to celebrate a birthday and it was fantastic! Great ambiance (tall ceilings, beautiful roomy and very clean decor), charming neighborhood, and delicious food (mocktail yummy, bread basket fresh out of the oven and homemade tasting - included an apple bear claw/turnover and eclairs, and shrimp and grits entree perfectly seasoned). Service was also very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
We had a great meal here. Service was on point and the food was delicious top to bottom. The short ribs were amazing!
Wonderful in every way! We will definitely be back!
The food was delicious and the wait staff are attentive and wonderful.
The location and built are very romantic, lots of charm. So that alone would be great but the food and service are just wonderful ! Very creative menu from cocktails to desserts. A great experience overall!
We've been going to Trummer's for a few years and love the setting (large historic home in a charming town), the ambience, and service. In late 2020, the chef and menu changed, and although the food is still high quality, the Asian (mostly Japanese) flavors and sauces used in many of the dishes are not our favorite. The menu also is much more limited, with only 6 main courses offered (of which only one was vegetarian). The previous menu offered more choices and variety.
It was a wonderful experience. Great staff
The food was below average. We ordered items recommended by the waitress and it was a bad choice. The scallops were almost cold and crostini were too hard to eat.
A special experience with great ambiance.
Back to its creative offerings with a blend of delicious flavors. We had a lovely meal with an incredibly knowledgeable and personable waiter. Wonderful night! Thanks!
great food great value. coffee butter on pumpernickel bread was super!
We had such a wonderful time, such a beautiful restaurant with excellent service! Thank you for a memorable night for my friends 40th birthday! We will be returning again soon.
Great service and great food, definitely get incredible value and ambience for your money. Great job Ttummers!
Very limited menu.
I thought it was good, but not as great as expected. The menu was very limited and the service was okay. The building was nice with great ambiance.
We were told that there was a party in the main dining room so we were seated in the more rustic dining area (but without a fire in the fireplace). The music was a throwback to the 70s/80s and not to our liking. The menu came across as pretentious, but not appetizing and the server came across as too familiar, but did try to be helpful.
Cocktails amazing, had the pisco pumpkins with peking duck foie gras stupendous!
Per usual, the food was great. The drinks were great. And the service was great. Trummers continues to be one of the best fine dinning experiences in the area without being too snobby nor too expensive
We made reservations for an early dinner as first time diners and were blown away. The service was great and the food was even better. Great gem for anyone looking for a fresh, local meal. They also have an excellent wine selection.
Place is always stunning and staff is always friendly and helpful! We try to come back as many times as possible but we live far, and yet we always commit to return. Kudos to Mike for always taking care of the bar and making the environment fun and delicious cocktails.
We had a wonderful 19th Anniversary dinner. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar before being brought up to our table. We had a nice quiet corner and enjoyed several appetizers before our entrees arrived. Dessert was delicious, and they brought us bonus bites and glasses of Reisling to toast our Anniversary. Always a wonderful evening when we pick Trummers!
Food was good - menu is on the smaller side but not in a bad way. Interesting choices with thought to ensure there's something for everyone. Desserts were truly delicious with the Apfel Kuchen being ridiculously so... just get it if it's on the menu. The focaccia was also spectacular - truly elevated bread - how did they do that??? And the service was amazing...in these times of dragging, unimpressive service, Trummers has figured it out. A great night out...
Sat outside. Food and service were excellent. We had the spare ribs and the risotto. Both were fabulous. Great specialty drinks. Truly enjoyed the evening.
First rate! The entire staff was well polished, engaging and attentive. The food and drink were exquisite, and the owner took extra steps to ensure we had an exceptional experience.
We elected to sit outside, which was lovely, but the local train did come through twice during our visit. Next time I would sit inside or ask to sit further away from the street.
I believe this was my first time to dine at Trummer's. I gathered some friends together, and had dinner to celebrate my upcoming birthday. The restaurant has a great ambiance (when it's warmer, I'd love to dine outside); our server, Joe, was attentive; the food was good, and the reason why I gave it four stars is because 1.) my side of potatoes came out late and 2.) although a kind gesture of the mini spiced cakes was appreciated, I couldn't eat it due to my food allergy. We had a great conversation and enjoyed our visit!
incredible food and the very best service I could ask for.
The service was the best part of the evening. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The menu was not very robust, but it was okay.
