Everything was perfect. Knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. Excellent service. I particularly like the hanger steak. Others in our group got the salmon and the stone pie. Everyone enjoyed her meal.
The appetizers were good! We had dumplings, spinach/Artichoke dip and chicken lettuce wraps. The Scottish salmon was bland as well as the mashed potatoes. The potatoes need to be creamy and decadent. No amount of salt gave the potatoes flavor. The carrot cake waffle with homemade ice cream was very good! Our server, Mia, was excellent!
We took customers out for dinner and all 6 of us had amazing meals. The sauces were amazing. Great atmosphere!
Great experience from making reservations to eating meal. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
Salute’s taste of Hartford food quality was so much better than Trumbull ‘s and price is one third lower. Why can’t Trumbull offers better food ？
Went to Trumbull Kitchen during the Taste of Hartford. The TOH menu only had 3 choices for the appetizer and entree. We both had the Japanese salad which was very good. Tuna was very fresh. My entree was halibut. This was terrific. My date had the steak. It was undercooked and had to be sent back to be cooked longer. We both had the cheesecake with Summer berries for dessert. This was very good. The overall experience was very good. The service at this restaurant is outstanding! The waitress Mary was great and the manager brought the steak to our table after it was cooked longer. He was very apologetic.
Worst experience I've had in a while. the menu that was posted for Trumbull is NOT what the menu was when we go there!! and the manager was one of the rudest individuals I've ever come across!!!!
I will NEVER give them a penny of my money ever again!!!
We had visited TK once for A Taste of Hartford and the menu and the food and the surroundings were so fabulous we returned again (some of us ordered off the regular menu, too)! Truly great cocktails and a truly great "gem" in the center of Hartford. We will be back!
The Taste of Hartford menu was not the same as when we went to Trumbull Kitchen. Disappointing.
Great server. We went during the taste of Hartford and their menu had many options for all, steak, seafood and more. The desserts were also very good. Best part we went on half price wine night which was a good surprise.
Great dinning experience! The food and service was top notch.
Everything from apps (pork belly and steak with blue cheese fondue) thru main course and dessert was wonderful. About 40 minute drive for us, but well worth it. We'll be back!!
Already looking forward to going again! We were very impressed with the vegetarian options. We would love to see more of them at other Max properties.
Excellent meal during Taste be of Hartford. Great value for the meal served.
Good gluten free menu and knowledgeable staff. Gluten free ravioli was a nice touch!
Lunch service was unusually slow today. Shouldn’t take 45 mins to get a wrap and a sandwich (with an app). Just a long lunch.
Really good food, from starters to the desert.
Food was very good and the atmosphere is nice. I’ve eaten here a few times and I’m never disappointed.
Everything from valet parking to food to service was great my only problem was the group sitting behind us with the loud chatter
This was a wonderful modern upscale restaurant. Amazing place to go for a drink and some appetizers. The quality of the food is superb and portion sizes were perfect. With an excellent atmosphere this restaurant is fantastic for anything from a few drinks after work to a romantic evening. The staff all were happy to be there Melissa the waitress was exceptional and made and already magnificent evening even better. I can't wait to return soon.
Fantastic creative food and superior service!
The energy there is always on point!
Consistently good food. Have been here lots with adults. Wait staff was great with our kids. Wasn't expecting a kid's menu, but they have a very good one. Staff is also courteous about needing to get to a show. Now I will also happily return with kids!
Unique food with good variety. I got haddock with fava bean purée and clam chowder. Beans could have used a little more flavor but overall a really nice dish. Steamed bun appetizer was excellent as were the drinks. Would definitely go again.
We were greeted right away and got a great seat. We ordered 1 round of drinks and an app, the lettuce wraps. Really underwhelming. Very little veggie and the tofu mix was way to saltly. Our food came about 2 minutes after our app, and the tables where small so we had to play some tetris to make it all work. We were never asked if we wanted more drinks even though those around where. $15 for a veggie burger and it comes with chips, seriously who gives chips anymore. The veggie Pad Tai was no good. We returned it and the manager was very nice about it says they make there's different there and the waiter should have mentioned that when we ordered. We wont be back.
Nothing really to write home about here. I came with high hopes after reading the reviews. We were put at a table in the back of the restaurant. I guess I hoped for at least a booth or maybe something where my view wasn’t the kitchen or the screen where the waitstaff enter their orders. The food was decent. Excellent fries. Al fresco dining is available. Bar bites are only available at the bar and several people had to relocate from our section upon realizing this. It disrupted the flow. Overall no real complaints but no necessarily a place I would return to. Kids menu was fantastic and I really appreciated the presentation of the meal.
Food was fabulous. Great service from Melissa and her trainee Maya. Will definitely be back!!
Great food and service. Excellent drink menu. Would have preferred a little less noise but it wasn’t bad.
A great casual restaurant to take my family prior to a show. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, the food was delicious, the environment was inviting. Will definitely be back!
When you just about think Trumbull Kitchen could not get any better; they deliver over the top! This past Saturday--they were outrageously wonderful. From the moment they opened, with the warm and gracious greeting from Dave, to Johnny being our waiter--our sweet potato shrimp fritter appetizers being served hot and fresh by Steven--to our Salmon Caesar Salads. . . everything was just perfect Of course, the chilled Sauvignon Blanc added that extra special touch. Trumbull Kitchen is a wonderful asset of the Max group; they always go the extra mile to ensure that the exceed your expectations! We had a wonderful meal and time! Thanks so much!
Going to see a show at the Bushnell
Amazing food and service! The rock shrimp fritters are amazing
Food is aways great and consistent. Servers are great. Hosts are great.
Dinner for four old friends. Nice upscale, yet not pretentious atmosphere. Our server, Chris, was very helpful with the menu choices. He was well versed on the ingredients and portions and his assistance was appreciated by all. Drink choices were excellent. The two guys went on the Mezcal end of the spectrum. The women went the wine side. We liked the option for 6 or 9 ounce pours. Entrees were very good. Nice development of flavor.
Overall a very good experience. We will return.
Food was delicious, drinks were fabulous. And service was spot on. Only complaint was the smell of dirty mop water when you entered the restaurant, between the two doors. It wasn't very pleasant. TK is a favorite, we will be back!
The salmon was moist and delicious and the swordfish special was flavorful and seasonal with the yummy addition of ramps. The cookie dessert and the chocolate meringue torte were desserts you dream about days later. Our waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. Our dining experience was fabulous!
Our experience was terrific from the time we arrived. We were seated in a great table with a nice view outside. The service was fantastic and personable. We had a great dinner and the recommendations from our server were spot on. All in all it was a great experience.
This was a celebration for my daughter's college graduation and TK gave us an outstanding table that was ready for us when we arrived. Our server was just okay, but the food runner was excellent. We had to continue to ask her to refill our water glasses which was a pain. I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps that had a horrific smell to them. We ate them & they tasted okay, but I could not wait for that plate to go back to the kitchen. I actually asked the runner to take it back to the kitchen because it was so smelly. Our dinner were just okay. I had the cobb salad that had very little lettuce in it, but was still tasty. Lastly, we ordered ice cream sandwich which was good, but the cookies we SO HARD that it was extremely hard to eat. The night was still good & nothing was that bad, but it wasn't at the usual Max level. Thank you.
Busy before event at XL center. Waiter mixed our food up with table next to us. Had to wait for lost meal. Food was good
To start, I ordered a prosecco. Simple enough, right? The carafe it was poured from looked as though there were blood spatters in it. For an appetizer, we ordered the shrimp & burrata toast. The shrimp was raw. The entrée I chose was chicken, arugula and pasta. The chicken was pre-seared "Purdue" style, disgusting and rubbery. We did talk to the manager and he was gracious enough. He removed my entrée and the prosecco. First and last time I will EVER go there. STAY AWAY!
