The food was absolutely delicious and our waiter was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and very friendly. I highly recommend this place for a date night or after work drinks.
Hi Gabry, Thank you so much for the great review. We appreciate you recommending us. We hope to see you back in soon!!! Thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
Excellent as always! Kaley was a terrific server... attentive without being over the top.
Hi Eric, Thank you for the fantastic review. We thank you for being a loyal guest. See you soon!! Thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
Great food and great service! Love the vibe of the restaurant
The menu is filled with excellent and tempting choices, hard to decide. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Hi Penny, Thank you for your tremendous review. Happy to hear you enjoyed your meals and service. Thanks again, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
Trumbull Kitchen was the perfect place. The food and the service was excellent. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Trumbull Kitchen had gluten free options and also accommodated a dairy free request. We will definitely return to Trumbull Kitchen.
We sat right next a computer that all the servers used; we were told and they were told repeatedly not to use but kept bumping our chair.
Our server was very attentive, engaging and helpful. The food was excellent- chicken dumplings, special of the day selections and bread pudding.
Dear William, Thank you for the great review. We are excited to hear you enjoyed your food and service. See you soon!! thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
I went to Trumbull Kitchen for an early Valentine’s Day date and had a good experience overall. The food was nicely presented and delicious. The only slightly negative aspect of the dinner was the service. Our waiter took a long time to approach our table and it took a while to get our drinks. We also noticed he was much quicker to serve other tables for some reason but ignored ours. I would still return but hopefully not have the same waiter.
Our family ate there for a weekend convention! Great drinks, great food( I had a Taste of Hartford special meal)! We were near a large party but the noise level was acceptable. The chef owner came over to that table and hung out for a bit! Definitely will be back next time we are in Hartford!
Trumbull Kitchen is always a fun place to eat and drink! It was a busy Saturday night and the place was hopping. Good drinks and attentive service made it easy to have a good time. The menu is varied and interesting, something for everyone! One of the NY strips was a bit on the rare side but it was quickly corrected. The Orzo seafood entree was fresh and delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was perfect! And the valet parking made arriving and departing safe and easy! A great evening at TK!
Dear Robert, Thank you for the great review and feedback. We can't wait for your return see you soon!!! Thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
Wonderful food and atmosphere.
We really enjoyed our dining experience from beginning to end. Such a treat to enjoy food we wouldn’t prepare at home. Also, our server Brendan was EXCEPTIONAL!
Hi Kristyn, Thank you for the great review. Very happy to hear you had such a great time. I will share with Brendan and the rest of the staff. We will see you soon thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
The Filet appetizer was amazing!! Server was spectacular.
For a Friday night it was very lively but the food and service was lovely!
We were there for lunch; service was slow (which it shouldn't be when people are working and on their lunch hour) but food good as always.
Had my birthday dinner here; unfortunately my friend was unable to join me before a UConn game due to illness. Melissa, my terrific server, made my experience, although solo, the best; such a sweetheart and terrific server! I had my favorite, the short ribs, and as always they were terrific. I highly recommend the Moscow Mules, a delightful accompaniment to a great meal! My thanks to Dave...for the delicious creme brûlée dessert and to both Dave and Melissa for making my day special! TK folks, you’re a class act!
Hi, It was our great pleasure thank you for the fantastic review. I have already shared with Melissa she was delighted. We hope to see you soon on the next game day Thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
Meal was great, interesting menu! Service was wonderful and all waitstaff were very attentive. A little expensive but overall decent.
Our reservation was for 3:45pm but it would have been nice to know beforehand that we could only order from the lunch menu which is sparse. The food was awesome!
Very happy to be at Trumbull Kitchen again. The staff is lovely and so is the ambiance. We were there for "Taste of Hartford" which is reasonably priced. Our food was very good and the drinks and wine selection is as well. We look forward to returning to Trumbull Kitchen.
Hi Lisa, Thank you very much for a fantastic review. I shared this with Whitney she loved it. We will see you soon!!! Thanks, David Mascolo Trumbull Kitchen
One of the best restaurants we’ve tried in CT so far (been here a year). Cool space, good lighting, nice bar and has an event room. Parked in the garage right next to the restaurant (helped, given that it was raining). They have a lot of small plate offerings which was great as we didn’t quite know what we wanted, but wanted something a bit different. We tried 4: all were excellent (I didn’t like the fried mini-zucchini, but that was because of the cheese and is a personal taste (my wife liked-it... she likes the stinky cheeses). We had the filet dish, Chang mai curried noodles and the volcano roll also. Portions were great. We split everything and were satisfied. We also finished with a S’mores tart, which disappointed me as I expected a warm component and not a cold dish. The meal was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and definitely recommend.
The food was good but service was lacking until near the end of the meal. Our server seemed not to care and took long periods to come back by our table but would check on others
Went for Taste of Hartford. The salad was just ok. The steaks we both ordered were not good. The desserts were pretty good. The waitress was good.
Decided to try out Trumbull Kitchen for the Taste of Hartford 2020 menu they are running. Service was slow at first, waited about 15 minutes before anyone even greeted us at our table or brought water. Once our waitress came though she was very attentive and made sure everything came out on time.
Iceberg Salad as first course was massive in and of itself! Very tasty. Decided on the steak as second course and my fiance chose the peppered chicken. Steak had quite a bit of fat on it, but it was a large cut of meat so there was plenty good left. Fiance loved the chicken! Flourless chocolate cake to finish and was definitely the best part of our three course experience. Amazing berry sauce on the top.
Overall, I'd like to go back and give it another try outside of Taste Of.
Food was just ok. Service was mediocre at best. Table was bad. Just not a great experience.
This place gets the job done well, just like all in the Max group. The food won't win any gourmand awards, but it's solid, and portions are big. Good value, and they'll efficiently get you out in time for tip off at the XL Center. Two thumbs up on the wine list. We are from NYC, so the prices seemed more than reasonable.
First time there and it was absolutely great!! Food, the wait staff... can’t wait to go back!!
My wife and I went for lunch both had the hangar steak which was cooked perfectly medium rare. The steak was excellent and the sauce remarkable. Service was outstanding. The one drawback was that our french fries didn;t come out the same time as our entree. All in all a great dining experience and we will be back.
Open Table is always a great first place to look for a new restaurant. And this was no exception. Service and food was amazing.
Once again; Trumbull Kitchen was outrageously wonderful. From the time we arrived and were warmly greeted by Johnny—lunch was just terrific. We started with drinks and the understanding that we were going to see Anastasia at the Bushnell. Lunch was perfectly paced to ensure that we were not rushed; yet, able to enjoy every aspect. The sweet potato shrimp fritters were served hot and just delicious. My friend had the volcano sushi and I had my usual: chicken lettuce wraps. Both were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. Johnny is a wonderful, kind and gracious server; he is an integral part of our visit to Trumbull Kitchen. Once again; they came through with terrific food and excellent service!
Waitstaff and food quality were terrific, but our anniversary reservation was given to another party - which we realized after receiving a notification of their bill on my phone.
As always very attentive and courteous wait staff!
Food is always amazing... unfortunately it took 45 minutes to get our lunch and we really needed to rush through the meal to get back to work.
Noisy . Food good and service was ok too. Prices are reasonable. Not great ambience due to bar crowd nearby tables.
Brendan our waiter was very good and an asset to the restaurant. The food was tasty and hot and served with care.
Excellent food in a busy environment ... hectic UCONN cried in game night.
Waiter appeared rushed but was courteous.
Owner stopped by which was a nice touch and appreciated . Cobb sale was particularly good.
The entree selections, while limited, were ample.
Soup selection was limited to one choice.. coconut, basil ... fortunately it was very good.
Restrooms are in an inconvenient location adjacent to the kitchen. Waiters with plates of food moving quickly is a recipe for a spill.
TB is our restaurant of choice on game night and this will not change.
The service was very good. The waiter attended to our needs without being intrusive. The food, while good, was overpriced. $14.00 for a chicken and swiss cheese sandwich is a bit much. Overall, a nice lunch and an enjoyable time.
Server was really excellent. Super funny and present at just the right times, but also let us alone/we weren’t hounded. The food was really great. We split 6 small plates and a single desert and we’re quite full, probably could have done 4 plates. The curried noodle tk standard dish and Korean bbq buns were the true standouts but everything was delicious. Drinks were also made well. Definitely will be back!
Always have a great experience at TK! We had the short ribs and salmon; both delicious. Nice selection of beer and wine. Great service...and a table right where we requested. Nothing better before a UCONN win!
It was a nice experience for dinner, our server was great. The main complaint we would have is that it felt like it was 90° inside the restaurant. The food that we order was great, the atmosphere was good, but the heat inside the restaurant was unbearable. We liked the nice corner table that they seated us at, we would come again.
We visited on New Year's Eve with friends and were very pleased. We arrived early and were seated before our reservation time. The food was excellent as was the service. We will return.
