Truluck's Seafood, Steak and Crab House - Rosemont
Absolutely phenomenal restaurant! The food was incredible. Service was fantastic (Ask for Nicole!!). We can’t wait to go back.
Thank you for the amazing service. Food was prepared perfectly. Thank you! Had a blast celebrating my girlfriends birthday.
For my boyfriends 30th birthday, they did amazing to make him feel special ! Highly recommend this place
The service was great and our server made some great recommendations. All the food from steak to fish was excellent. They also have a nice wine and cocktail list.
The food was amazing. Best Stone Crab I've had in Chicago. The wine seemed over price. $25 for a glass of Cake Bread seemed excessive. The atmosphere was great and it was nice to have live music. Our server was very slow. Our dinner for 4 on Mother's Day Night lasted 2 and 1/4 hours with 2 small kids. She disappeared for long periods of time. My husband's King Crab Claws had obviously been cooked and were either sitting there waiting for her to get the food or were cooked before the rest of the meals as they were very tough. Overall I loved the experience and will be going back to Turlucks at some point.
Great food and excellent service! Our server was especially attentive.
Top notch service. Attentive to our needs. Food was excellent. More than we could eat. Would recommend splitting if you get an appetizer. The best is the baked Alaska!
Truluck’s is an outstanding seafood and steak restaurant which prides itself on outstanding service from its valet who announces you and opens the door to the restaurant for you through its wait staff who are friendly and professional in every way possible. It’s food, wine and deserts are cooked to perfection and it’s crab claws offer you a unique experience not often found in the Chicago area. The checking by it’s managers during dinner and the next day phone call to insure that your dining experience met your expectations reflect that extra step of care that guarantees Truluck's will stay be our choice whenever we need that outstanding dining experience.
Excellent service & amazing cuisine - a wonderful evening!
The food, the drinks, and the service are GREAT!
A gem in the hills of Rosemont.
We loved our evening at Truluck's from beginning to end! Food, ambiance and the live music from the bar (two wonderfully talented women!!), and the service was really fabulous. We can't wait to come back.
Service and food are outstanding. Great bar area with entertainment.
I have worked in the industry my whole life. When paying top dollar for food, the drinks do not need to be $18. Our wait staff was fun. The meal was delish! But $18 for a cocktail (when you know what the liquor cost is on the ingredients of the cocktail) is hard to swallow.
Overall though, the food was really good. That was worth every penny!
And kudos to the Mouthwash Tank in the washrooms. Brilliant!
New place, clean, great service. Had a chain feel and the fake food displays seemed odd. My swordfish was not cooked properly but my colleagues scallops were great. We ordered oysters and salad, two lowers end entrees and each had two glasses of wine $200. I would say there are better places for this amount. It’s not bad but not top notch either.
Very disappointed. Had large group, not good experience. Took food home. This is my skinny sea bass, sad.
Wonderful place! Delicious food and service was great!
Excellent food, service and especially liked the the tables being spaced so you are not jammed together and the servers can get around the tables . Fair prices high quality food and excellent staff make you feel welcome at all levels . Enjoyable experience first class.
Wonderful people and delicious food!
Truluck's in Rosemont is a great place for dining. Maybe because it is brand new, but service is great, food is great and the atmosphere overall is great. I took clients to a dinner and also had some personal diners there as well. Always a pleasure. Valet parking was also great. I was surprised, that on my way out of he restaurant the valet had my car running right in front of the door, and it was already warned up.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice dinner in Rosemont.
Terrible service only last visit which is definitely not the norm for this place.
Just a fantastic place with fantastic service, good and environment.
We celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary at Truluck with our children. They were du,y impressed with the beauty of the restaurant, the wonderful server Nicole, and with the fabulous food. We had the fresh oysters, the escargot, the lobster bisque, and a salad for openers. The oysters were superb. Entrees included branding, sea scallops, and various steaks. Not a morsel was left. Desserts were the special beautiful baked Alaska for our anniversary, cheesecake, carrot cake, and the chocolate malt cake. Everyone’s anxious to return.
Joel that served was amazing. He made the experience awesome. The steak was cooked right and the celebration towers with dry ice was amazing. The only thing I noticed was the stone crab claws were on the bitter side more than sweet. You get that time from time depending on the batch. Overall an excellent experience...
Christina was a wonderful server. Thorough and yet let us visit.
Relatively new high end restaurant in Rosemont - it was not very crowded for a business lunch, and therefore very quiet and easy to communicate with each other. We had the lobster rolls (excellent) and steak salad for lunch (very good). The service was extremely accommodating and professional. After the bill was brought to the table, the waiter heard us talking that it was one person's birthday. He brought the Truluck version of a "Baked Alaska" to our table and set it afire, gratis. It was fantastic. We left thoroughly impressed with the service, quality of food, and ambiance.
Best fine dining in the suburbs. Great food, outstanding service, live music. Have already returned for a couple special occasions and will continue to do so.
This is a great spot for a special occasion. We celebrated our anniversary here and we were not disappointed. From the "Happy Anniversary" greeting from the hostess to the beautiful rose petals on our table we felt welcomed and celebrated. The food was outstanding (Wedge salad, small lobster tail, scallops and red fish entrees) and our server (Darcy) realized we weren't in a rush so she paced the meal perfectly. The complimentary Baked Alaska was out of this world! We will be back.
Great service, we went for my friend’s birthday!
I appreciate them making her feel special with confetti on the table and a dessert!
Great service with very nice modern decor. Pricey but good cocktails with outstanding piano player/vocalist in the bar. We split the wedge salad to start then we went onto a very good surf and turf combo along with delicious prime ribeye. City dining w/o the drive. We’ll be back.
Wonderful Easter brunch! Attentive service really made us feel special. Food was delicious and the decor is very upscale.
The service and the food was without questions extremely good. Prices are a little high but you will be pleased with this restaurant. The only bad thing is that the tables are way too close together. Makes it very difficult to move around or walk between tables if you need to get up and use the restrooms.
I will celebrate many more occasions with this establishment. We celebrated my friends birthday and it was such a special experience from the drinks to the food to the desserts. I LOVED my time there, and my friends all think I am amazing because I made reservations. 🎊😇
First time at the restaurant and we weren’t particularly sure about the dress code, if any. We did feel under dressed slightly just by our initial entering of the restaurant with seeing the front of the house staff dressed very formal, and then having the option to have our coats checked.
After the initial shock of “are we underdressed” wore off, we were led to our table which was quite intimate. We were just celebrating a birthday but they made a mistake on the card and had us for a birthday and anniversary. Our table was nicely decorated with rose petals to create a more romantic ambiance, which was nice but obviously unnecessary for us.
Our server was phenomenal, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Checked on us about every 5-10 min to refill glasses or bring us anything we desired. Our meal was one of the most delicious that I’ve had in quite a while. I do wish that there were other crab options at a little bit less of a price range, since I am not a huge fan of king crab, and that was the only option. We both enjoyed the entrees that we ordered along with the appetizers and side dishes.
Overall our experience was great and I need to think of another special occasion so we can go back soon.
Food taste and preparation fell below expectations, especially for the price. Service was very good.
We were expecting the best but we got blech. First off our waiter was fabulous. The lobster bisque didn't taste anything like lobster although it had several small chunks of lobster in it. The bitey cheese mousse they put in it ruined the taste of the soup. The wedge salad was to die for. Cold and delicious. The bread that was served when we sat down was hard as a rock and crunchy but you could tell it wasn't intended to be. I think it was Challah but it could have been much better. To me, it seemed like it might have been microwaved. Then, on to our entree. We had the surf & turf. We were impressed by the charred crust on the filet we asked for med rare and it came exactly that way. The bad news is that it was a poor quality for the money. It was very stringy and didn't have a good beef flavor. Again the char was great. They tell you it will be on a 500 degree "sizzling" plate but there was NO sizzling. I was expecting a metal plate with butter popping away but instead it was a dinner plate hot out of the oven. The lobster was perfectly done but the butter for dipping was awful. It was full of flour and was opaque. I was expecting drawn butter so that was disappointing. Lastly, we picked this place for our anniversary celebration because it had live entertainment (on a tuesday). The disappointing thing was the guy yelled alot and it was piped into the dining room way too loud. We had to nearly yell to each other to be heard. Perhaps it was because there were so few people in the room. Anyway, we won't be back and can't recommend it.
We stopped by Truluck’s Rosemont after attending a Jazz concert. The service was awful! The server was not attentive, he asked my husband if it was ok that he reuse the same glass to refill his tea since it was busy he didn’t have time to go get a fresh glass. We ordered the special and it was nearly 25 minutes later before the server informed us the special was sold out; we ended up ordering a meal more expensive than we had planned. We had to ask another server to box our left overs and the ultimate insult was when our server provided us our bill. He told us he didn’t have a case to put our bill into because they were so busy; yet he gives another table their bill inside a case. The whole experience was really bad. I brought it to the attention of the manager and called Truluck’s corporate office and neither have responded to me. I’ve eaten at other Truluck’s and have never had the experience. Based on this last experience I will not be back and will tell my family and friends NOT to bother dining with Truluck’s!
Our dinner outing was EXCEPTIONAL!
The dinner was succulent and prepared to perfection.
The service and the attention we received from Jaclyn was
OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Our most sincere thanks to George and his wonderful staff for making the evening complete.
