John, our very knowledgeable sever, was amazing! He did a great job describing the food and provided great recommendations. We went to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. He got the miso sea bass and I got the New England scallops. We also got the jumbo crab cake! Even the zero proof drink I got, the Spicy Berry was delicious! OMG the dessert was an old Alaskan, which I had never heard of, MY GOD! It was too good!! I think I have a new favorite classy restaurant. I did so good for his birthday! He loved it. Things to know: Parking underground was $16 They have a pianist Dress to impress

Ran out of everything and did not communicate the issues very well. The server was great and apologized profusely for the many many errors with the kitchen. Not the Truluck’s brand at all. This restaurants food also lacked consistency in preparation with the other locations.

Truluck’s did not disappoint. The food was delicately made to perfection. The flavors were not over the top, but just right for the palate and didn’t over power the fresh seafood. The service was more than awesome. We have nothing to complain about. Our servers were patient, kind, and damned impressive. The bar tender needs an award, whomever made the carrot cake should live forever, and the live pianist/singer was soulful. I’m making sure I cover everything because for those prices, y’all need to know exactly what to expect. The only shortfall was the restroom did not have seat covers. That is all.

The food was not good at all. Smaller portions than normal and it seems as if there is a different chef or recipe. We did not enjoy the food. The waiter was excellent as usual and the resturant was wonderful.

Truluck’s tonight was an outstanding experience! I’ve only dined there once before & my guests were first-time guests here. We ordered 2 of the 10-12 oz. lobster tail entrees & 2 miso-glazed Chilean sea bass entrees. I recommend both. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed both our meals & the service. Paul was our server & he was exceptional. He was very attentive & catered to some needs that even we didn’t realize we had. The floor manager (I think I heard him say Charlie, Charles or maybe Carl) came by to greet our table & was also engaging and attentive. Both he and Paul were quite pleasant. Even the hosts at the check-in stand tonight were fantastic & very accommodating. Altogether a superb celebration dinner outing. Would definitely return.

Excellent and fresh seafood dishes although very pricey when compared with similar restaurants. Service was prompt, courteous and efficient. The server pointed out that an 18% service fee was included in the bill but politely requested an additional tip. This was unexpected when European servers expect a maximum of a 10%. The experience was delightful anyway.

My drink had some black stuff and bugs were on my food. Additionally it was too expensive. After me showing bugs to server, they should have reimburse 50% of my bill but they did nothing.

Food was well prepared, while a bit on the pricey side ( $125 for a lobster tail). Great selection of seafood. Service was attentive & our server, Paul was a very pleasant & engaging individual. One strange & annoying thing…We were sitting in a corner booth & every time one particular server would reach us, she’d shout “corner!”. A bit distracting & I’m not sure what that was all about….was she worried that she wouldn’t be seen & would be knocked down?

The price of the experience was not commiserate with the quality of the food. The food was seasoned well but the quality was moderate. There was a substantial amount of cartilage and fat in my steak and the drinks were subpar. Our server was nice but seemed distracted the whole time and was not attentive.

The food lacked flavor across the board. I had the salmon from the restaurant menu and I was disappointed in the lack of seasoning. I’ve had better from them.

Service was not good. The food ok at best. It definitely needed more seasoning. Hardly saw our waiter and my husband had to address it after our meal. Overall definitely a decline from a great experience we had our last visit to Truluck’s.

Truluck’s was an incredible experience. Every course was delicious! Best of all the service Franklin provided was impeccable. He was prompt, attentive and knew the entire menu in detail by memory. Thank you Franklin for making our first dining experience at Truluck’s so memorable!

I celebrated my anniversary here in DC and I must say it was best service we had received. The food is great and had two viola drinks. They served us a treat for our anniversary. Welcome with rose petals on table. Awesome!

I was super excited to come eat here. We saw some videos on Tik Tok recommending this restaurant. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our birthday together, the host were very sweet, wished us a happy birthday We started off with the appetizer bread. That was really good. We got a Cesar salad to start off, it came out and the lettuce did not look fresh. We tried to pick around all the yellow pieces but it was basically all yellow. It did not look appetizing at all. For entree we ordered the filet flight, scallops w/ mushroom risotto and a side of crab fried rice. All items were not appetizing. The filet flights had no flavor, one came with shrimp, the shrimp was bland, the steak was dry and I ordered it medium. The scallops also did not have much flavor to them. Lastly, I was excited for crab fried rice. But this seemed like they just picked the crab and threw it on top of the rice. The crab was cold with warm rice. Truely disappointed. I do not recommend. They had live music that night, however even that was not good. Go for the bread and drinks. that's it , save your money

My daughter told me about Trulucks. I was a little sceptical but decided to try for my birthday boy or boy...was the food high standard, delicious but pricy...great experience though. The only negitive thing was my cocktail...it was supposed to be harbonaro spicy and it was'nt. They told me they only had enough mix to make a couple more drinks 👀...😏hun? What?Lol...okay! I just ordered something different🍹😅😂
