   What would’ve been a cancelled reservation turned into a wonderful dinner out with my oldest brother. I was initially under the impression that dinner Friday evening would be crowded. There were no high tops or bar seating available. When we arrived however it was only a small crowd. How perfect! The bar is the best seat in the house IMO. We enjoyed the piano singer, and the Final Four games. The bartender was fantastic. I forget her name although we’ve been served by her before. We enjoyed whiskey service with our chilled shrimp cocktail. My brother goofed about them smoking 🤣🤣. He enjoyed the seared rainbow trout and I the scallops. OMG they were so good. I may go back again tonight 😝 The beurre blanc is fantastic!!! My only disappointment came when I learned they don’t have cheesecake. I carried home a slice of petit carrot cake. It will have to do. All in all a wonderful night out!!! We will be back again.

   First time at Truluck's for dinner was great! It is a more expensive restaurant but definitely worth it. From the food to the service from Abby (sp?) was phenomenal. The food portion were overly sufficient for the price. I would recommend the branzino and the calamari. Only downside was that the noise level was very lively as other patrons were loud and using large lights (that were shining on our table) to take photos of their food.

   I went to Truluck’s for lunch and had a lobster roll, which had way to much mayonnaise and it tasted awful. There was not much seasoning or anything. I’ve been to Truluck’s a few times and I’m hoping that this moment is not the norm, but the food quality this day was not the best. I will think twice the next time I consider going to Truluck’s. Not worth the price.

   Do not let the sparkling chandeliers and orchids fool you! I was excited to try Trulucks because I heard good things from friends, however, after dining there I would not recommend. The food was overpriced and under flavored (apart from the lobster bisque which was actually delicious). From the moment we walked in, it was clear that our party was not the priority. We could see other parties blatantly receiving more attention, and better service. We ordered three appetizers, a bottle of wine, four cocktails, and three entrees. The food was slow to come, sides were cold, and the food lacked flavor.

   We had the best time at Truluck’s on a Sunday evening. The staff was friendly, the crowd was energetic and the food was outstanding. The scallops were huge and perfectly prepared. The branzino dish was excellent, especially since we substituted the lobster mashed potatoes for the regular mashed potatoes. Baked Alaska topped off our perfect evening.

   Unfortunately our server didn’t give us the same presentation other servers gave their tables or that he gave other tables (I believe it was a presentation about crab legs), and he wasn’t very engaging with us, but the food was very good!

   I had a wonderful time at Truluck's for my birthday celebration with my sisters. We all loved our meals! I had the brinzino, another sister had the sea bass, and the other two sisters had steak! The fish was cooked well, nice and flaky. The piece of steak my sister shared with me melted in my mouth. Just lovely! We also tried the crab fried rice, crab cakes, and calamari. Also, I can not forget the carrot cake! * chefs kiss * I enjoyed it all! Truly.

    First time here and will definitely return on our next trip to DC. Seafood was out of this world and so fresh. Great cocktails and divine carrot cake. Our server, Cesar, was terrific and Keegan, the restaurant manager stopped by to chat with us to ensure we had a superior dining experience.

    The atmosphere and decor are fantastic. We were seated in a great booth with a nice view to the restaurant and outside. From the beginning, the service seemed rushed, but the output was slow. We were asked for drinks and starters at the same time. After quite a wait, the drinks arrived, we were asked for main courses, but had to ask that the starters come out first. We both had the seabass which was delicious, but the rice accomiment tasted old, and not fresh. Neither of us finished it. The crab and shrimp napoleon was too cold and felt like it had come from freezer. The calamari and oysters Rockefeller were good! During the meal, I had to return a glass of past its prime wine. Overall, the experience was okay, but we won't be rushing back.

    A very good experience with the choice of food selections. The price of most dishes was over the top, , however, the quality was fantastic. Look for the gratuity charge on the bill before tipping. Overall, a great experience.

    The restaurant ran out of one of their staple dishes since that ran out of Trout. I tried to order a rum and coke and they had no rum. The Caesar Salad looked like it had been seating for a long while enough that I had to send it back. Parts of my entree came out just luke warm. The appetizers were delicious. The service was excellent.

    Spicy blackberry margarita was very good. The Napoleon was just ok. The rolls are DELICIOUS (but you pay for the bread which is ridiculous since everything else is so expensive.) the Sea bass was very good. My husband loved the Branzono. We were there for our anniversary so they comped dessert. Go with the Baked Alaska it’s good. Good service. Very expensive evening. $440 for three of us!

    Our first time going to this place. Our Waiter Vernon was very helpful. Excellent service and experience. So far Sunken Treasure is my favorite and Vernon recommended that for me. My wife and I will be back. If you want an excellent experience, make sure to ask for Vernon.

    We went for my wife's birthday and had an amazing experience. My wife said the seafood was the best and I can tell you the steak was the best in the area as we have been to every steakhouse. Only wish is that they had a wider side options. Drinks were amazing. Thank you!!!

    I was disappointed with the serving of Calamari. It was very good but about HALF the size of the portion received when I attended another birthday event there a couple weeks prior. The serving on Saturday evening included A LOT of onions, vegetables and A LITTLE BIT OF CALAMARI ! I had reserved for another event on Sunday, but I cancelled it.

    I found this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try for my seafood loving husbands birthday dinner. The entire experience was absolutely amazing. I've never seen my husband so impressed with a meal and we owe it all to our amazing server Vernon. He greeted us right away and instantly began to break down the menu for us. Helped us customize the meal to fit exactly what we wanted. He even suggested to have my salmon blackened which I love but I usually just take it how it's cooked. I am extremely pleased and I will love to come back and celebrate another occasion very soon. Thank you Vernon for being so very pleasant and knowledgeable.

    Brought my wife in for our anniversary. Food was decent, but service was terrible. Our appetizer never came, our soup/salad was delivered within minutes of our entrees. We each were able to order one drink when we first sat down, and our water was taken away halfway through the meal. Server never explained the menu or our options, which seemed to happened at all other tables. We really wanted to enjoy the time, but could not. The only redeeming thing was the manager trying to make it right, but he was never notified that I wanted to speak with him after he was requested from the wait staff. I was able to locate him after closing out our check to discuss, but as a visitor to the city I was unable to take him up on his offer for a follow on visit.
