   Sorry to say this was our first, and last, visit to Truluck's in Plano. We went on Mother's day and were generally disappointed. Not sure if it was the normal staffing level but service was pretty slow. 6 pm reservation and we were seated immediately but didn't finish until 8pm and we did not stay for dessert. The beginning was slow but very good. we enjoyed the wedge and Caesar salads as well as the lobster bisque. For entrees we had the steak frites (medium but arrived well done), the special prime rib (ordered medium but pretty much was "blue" = Raw") and Lobster Thermidor (seemed to be a smallish portion based on the size of the shell and nowhere near the proper amount of the Mornay sauce. I also ordered creamed spinach, which arrived well after the meals and like the Thermidor was missing the creamed part. The room was very loud and as mentioned the service was slow. Mostly the kitchen's fault but the server should have seen the prime rib was not to the proper level of cooking before coming to our table. I should know better than order beef at a seafood restaurant although my son thought the steak frites were very tasty. Also, ordering a special version of a standard menu item is not normally recommended. Overall, not a fan of the restaurant based on this experience. Do not plan to return.

   On our very special Mother’s Day celebration my Brother N Law and I took our wife’s to Truluck’s (Sunday-2:45). What a major disappointment. The noise level was deafening. Our bill was approximately $600.00 (including “3” over priced drinks ,$22.00 each). Our server sold us on the “best Sirloin Steak Meat Ball, which were over cooked and very salty ($22.00/4). My Sister N Law order a petit tenderloin, medium rare, and it came out like a hockey puck. My BrotherN Law and I order the Chilean Sea-Bass which had a very “Woodie” taste. My wife had Branzino which was over cooked. The best item on the menu with the Carrot Cake (outstanding). The closure to a very disappointing meal was when our server handed us the GM (Tambra Tatum) business card with his personal cell phone number on the back side. We were informed when he wasn’t working at Truluck’s, he was moonlighting by offering his services as Profession Chef for in home or on locations catering.

   Mother’s Day lunch at Trulucks was fantastic. The service with that was outstanding, the food was outstanding as well as the atmosphere. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others.

   Absolutely terrific especially with the Kendra Scott jewelry option for Mom today Mother and daughter were so delighted Best place to celebrate special occasions

   All was wonderful. My mother loved it! ( for Mother’s Day). Service from Drew was amazing. Food was great.

   This was our first time @ Trulucks. The food was excellent, service was great as well. A member of the wait staff was overly loud. You could hear him talking with his tables all across the restaurant. Nothing inappropriate very engage with his tables but could tone it down a bit

   There was an initial hiccup with our reservation time (our table of seven was unavailable due to previous guests lingering way past what is normal- one of those uncontrollable situations), but the management made sure that we were more than fairly compensated for our wait). That’s good customer service!

    We sat at the bar and had a wonderful meal. A great martini with blue cheese stuffed olives followed by the meatballs and seared tuna. Both were fantastic! The bartender was friendly and attentive in a relaxing elegant atmosphere. We will be back soon!
