Great food, great service. Nice ambiance. Server was outstanding.
The food was delightful and our waiter was superb. The escargot was good, as well as the lobster, filet mignon and whole snapper. The dessert (baked alaska) ruined the valentines dinner though.... God bless my waiter, as he definitely was amazing, but he had to put his entire 200LB weight into cutting the dessert in half. The thing was frozen solid.... and I swear I almost lost a tooth trying it. Pretty decent experience and well worth the $200+ dinner tab, but skip the baked alaska if your waiter can't cut it in half. I wish I would have asked for another one, because wow. I'll probably return, but not for another special occasion.
The service was EXCELLENT. The food was good with the exception of the fact that the sauces were extremely over salted and I typically salt everything.
Valentines Day with family
Great service. Friendly staff. Romantic booths
we had a reservation for a couple of weeks. We were sat in a back room more like a closet. Terrible noice and ambiance right next to kitchen.
Fish was not cooked right and cold
WONDERFUL from entrance to dessert- excellent service, delicious food and lovely atmosphere!!
Excellent food. We did the lobscargo appetizer and it was awesome. For the entree my wife had the sea bass and it was amazing- melt in your mouth amazing. I had the surf and turf. The steak was good, as was the lobster. Our favorite desert was the carrot cake. We went on Valentines Day and dinner was served quickly. It was a nice romantic evening overall.
Lobster escargot appetizer was delicious! King crab legs were melt in your mouth delightful. We had wonderful service and atmosphere for our Valentines date. Don’t forget to save room for carrot cake!
Absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend.
Are Table wasn't quite ready for us, so we went to the lounge for a drink. I went to the rest room, upon returning there was one glass and a bottle of water on our table, my husband indicated the server came over all smiles wanting to serve him, once she was told there was 2 of us, and that he was waiting for our table, her attitude completely changed.
She eventually came back to our table to take a drink order, never brought a second glass for water, and was in my opinion borderline rude, rolling eyes, pursed lips, looking in other directions except on her "customer".
She never did return with the drinks. We watched her finally get the drinks, garnish them with limes, and then turned around chatting with another employee slightly in the rear corner of the bar at perhaps a station of some sorts..all in all 20 min. had passed. It was now after 9 pm, and the bar was not busy by any means.
The Hostess approached us then to say our table was ready. I informed her that we had drinks coming and that i did not want them..that the server was extremely rude, and had some issue with us.
Hostess of course very apologetic ....told us she would inform the server.
All the time the hostess was leading toward the from of the restaurant across to the dining room i watched the server grab try and scurry across the back of the restaurant to the dining room. Once we were seated the severer approached us with the drinks and set them on table...
I watched her closely, Same pursed lips looking off to one side like she did not want to be there serving us. I said Thank You, she just walked away with no response. I know the hostess hadn't said anything because she hadn't approached her...it all happened in just a few minutes, and also the hostess said she did bring them to us, and gave us the drinks on the house. I don't know why she behaved so poorly, when it dawned on me that perhaps it was because we were 2 men.
First, the positives: the restaurant is lovely with a warm ambiance. My husband and I were seated immediately in a booth. A server came by and left menus, but was them gone so long before I had to flag her down to take drink orders. ( I don’t mind waiting for my food order if I have a drink to sip on). The drinks took way too long - 20 min or so - to arrive, which is inexcusable in a high end restaurant. So overall it was 40 min before we were served drinks. My husband enjoyed his Manhattan and my wine was fine. As well, the oysters we ordered were fresh and delicious, and the lobster bisque was wonderful. Then came the yellowtail entree which we shared.
I’m not even sure how to describe it. The snapper itself was ok, but whatever it was topped with was cold, gray, and soggy. I should have rejected it, but by this time we were ready to get on with the meal.
Overall, service was friendly but slow (maybe our server was new?), but the food was not exceptional enough to overcome the other negatives for the price. There are other restaurants that would fill the bill in Ft Lauderdale.
The Stone crabs were not fresh.
Excellent value and experience and our service was GREAT.
Outstanding as usual. My go to place for nice seafood in a beautiful setting.
Excellent food and service was exceptional
They did an excellent job. When you go to a higher priced restaurant, you need good food, ambiance and service to make you feel the money was well spent. Truluck's delivered all the goods. We had a great dinner and a memorable experience!
Il was wonderful!
A great restaurant good food and great ambiance.
We had a fantastic dinner! Our service was excellent as well as the food. My husband had lobster bisque and grouper, I had salad and salmon bernaise. Both were excellent. I would definitely go back!
My husband and I met long time friends and shared a lovely dining experience. The food was delicious and our waiter, Andrew, provided exceptional service.. It was a lovely evening and we shall return to dine there.
Service and food were excellent! Best lobster bisque!
We thought the service, and food were fantastic! Well done!
Drinks in bar and restaurant were perfect.
Excellent service. Great crab claw (4) appetizer with shrimp, lump crabmeat, oysters, truly enough for 4, Whole red snapper was moist and well prepared, grouper ponchatrain was delicious as usual. A bit noisy.
Love this place. Good live music. Great food. The waiter did forget about us for a few minutes, but then came back. Service has always been very good here before this visit.
Recommend the Grouper Ponchatrain.
Great place for client dinners. A bit loud for a romantic dinner though. Fun place. Outstanding food. Excellent service.
Something was off with the service.Manager called and followed up and explained the issues. Was nice to see manager follow up..
