TruFire Kitchen & Bar - Southlake
"Life Happens in the Kitchen".....
This is my go-to place for lunch or dinner with friends, brunch or date night. A best kept secret, the food, patio and cocktail list is wonderful. Always have great service but Dante and Vegas really outdid themselves when I was there last. Very attentive and took care of us. Favs on the menu are the grilled artichoke, Naked Avocado (add grilled chicken) and I LOVE the Texas Pecan and Fig Salad w/grilled shrimp!
Service and food was great. Music a little too loud for my taste but it was a great time with friends. Banana split cake was THE BEST. Could have used another banana but we all ate from it and almost licked the plate it was so delicious!
Amazing food and service!
First time eating at TruFire. We had 7 people for Mother’s Day and had a wonderful experience! Great food. Fair prices. Attentive service.
Normally this place is great. But for Mother’s Day dinner, we had an awful experience. The host was in a crumpled dirty shirt with blood on it. The waiter never refilled our drinks. And my order was wrong. Nothing was done to make it right.
Great service and delicious food!
I would definitely recommend!
We have eat here a numbered of times, drinks and food are delicious, service super friendly, manager always around ensuring all is well. Food quality is great baked avocado salad is my fav as well as special fish of the day dish! We were celebrating someone in our party and got a free desert too!
The food was delicious! The hummus was so fresh and yummy and the crab dip was so very good!
Very nice place !
Perfect to drink a glass of wine and eat a board of cheese.
There is a reason we repeatedly dine at this restaurant... consistently good quality in what is prepared and served combined with staff that seems to genuinely care about your experience.
Crab dip appetizer was loved by tavle
Dante was the best. Everything was delicious.
Food was fantastic as always. Our server was friendly, but she forgot to put the drink order in at the bar. The manager gave us a $10 certificate to make up for the mistake. We’ll definitely be back.
Let me start by saying that the staff was very friendly at TruFire. Unfortunately, friendliness does not always translate to good service. As my rating is a 3, that is mostly for the food - the appetizer and salad were delicious, but my main course of pizza was disappointing -- it came out cold and did not suit my taste-buds to boot! I ordered a glass of wine, and it was clearly corked. Upon inspection, the waitress made a bit of a deal over it and eventually brought me a glass of the same wine saying, "the wine we had given you was a few days old, please try a glass of some "more recently opened" same wine.... still bad. I ordered another glass, which was not delivered until meal was nearly completed. When I received the bill, both glasses of wine had been on the bill -- which after alerting the waitress she agreed to take off.
Anyway, with all the choices of restaurants (i.e. competitive space), I am very unlikely to repeat customer this establishment. My wife and I look forward to these "date nights" and rolled the dice on somewhere new .. sometimes you lose and sometimes you win.... lost on this night.
Sooo, let me just start in the reverse and say, the staff were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and are the epitome of what stellar customer service should look like. I observed the staff, including management, work cohesively to greet the customers and ensure we were all being provided the service we deserve. I chose this place for my birthday brunch, and the entire brunch menu looked delicious. However, we decided to go with “The Board,” which is a must try. This was my second visit, as I had previously visited for lunch and had the Spicy Noodles (minus the shrimp) entree and the Latin Fire. Again, was not disappointed. Make this place your next visit if you are a foodie. You won’t be disappointed!
Apricot old fashioned is now my favorite drink. Food was great!
The service was exceptional. The food profiles are wide-ranging, and the food quality is superb. Don’t pass on dessert!
Food and sermvice always outstanding. This has become our usual Saturday night place to go.
Saw our server maybe three times. To the point we gained a new server that we knew his name! Brian took better care of us. The food was outstanding. Spicy noodles and Crab dip was great and Sangria cocktail was unique.
TruFire for Sunday brunch can't be beat! Between the wonderful live music, the build your own "bloody" bar and $2 mimosas, you can't go wrong. The breakfast pizza and breakfast tacos are amazing! Make a rez, get a great table and enjoy your morning.
Wonderful brunch. Everything was perfect, food, service, drinks.
Good vegetarian options both in the small plates and salad section.
everytime we go here I ask "why don't we come here more?" The food, especially the turkey burger and the crab dip, is delicious. On this visit, we had an especially good waiter, whose name I cannot recall unfortunately.
Closest thing to a "sports bar" environment in Southlake - book the hi-top tables in the bar area to catch a game and have some exceptional casual fare.
Amazing place! Food and service was perfect. Definitely recommend the tacos and breakfast pizza!
Friendly service, delicious salads, great gluten-free options & the patio was pup-friendly :)
Will definitely be back & highly recommend!
Fabulous as always!
My wife had the chicken Marsala and it was over salted, not as good as before.
Her avocado and tomato salad was delicious.
My wedge salad was okay as was the Board.
Our waitress was not good. She didn’t even bother to tell us what was on the Board (maybe she didn’t know).
My wife was actually wanting a non-alcohol drink and the only option she gave us was “fountain drinks” which she doesn’t drink.
The people at the table next to us told us about the iced green tea their server had told them about.
Maybe our waitress didn’t know?
Great place for a higher-end casual night. Plenty of GF options, which is very important to me! The food was delicious, but not something to go raving about.... typical American food (sandwiches, pizza, pasta, salads). I will say that the walnut & pear salad was delightful. Service was outstanding.
Great place for group events !
Trendy, robust environment. Excellent ambiance. Great tasting food. Delicious wine. Amazing service.
Amazing food, great wine list. Must try the 'Lil Goat and the Spicy Noodles. YUMM.
TruFire is one of my favorite restaurants! The naked avocado is my go to. The cocktails are great as well!
Consistently good food and good service!
Our server was awesome. The food was just want we wanted.
Best part is the reasonable wine prices. Food is very good also - shared the Pork - excellent. Great atmosphere - was largely full on a Thursday but able to get in with no wait.
TruFire is a great place for a variety of food for Brunch or Dinner. If you have a gluten allergy, they have an extensive menu with wonderful food to order. GF or not, a must try dessert is their flourless chocolate cake.
We have always had outstanding food and service. It is located in Southlake, so easy to get to. They offer inside and patio seating. John the Manager has checked by our table
to assure our meal was as expected. This is in our favorites list.
Bailey, our server, was awesome! It's always great to see Eric, the Manager. He's always so nice and helpful. I love this place!
Would have got five but it was too loud. We weren’t sure which person was our waiter. The person who took our dessert order didn’t mention the one dessert I could have had. My wife liked all the gluten free choices. Most importantly the food was good. We’ll give it another shot in the future.
We had reservations and still had to wait for our table. We were informed that the customers seem to be hanging around longer so this made turning tables over a slower process. ??? Service was very slow. Drinks were not that great. Food was pretty good. So the saving grace was that even though we did not complain, except for sending back the drinks, the manager did apologize, gave us free desert and some vouchers to return. So, despite our experience, we will be back to give it another try. Our main draw to the restaurant was the Gluten free menu.
