Service was terrible we basically had to beg for refills, as you could watch the wait staff just huddled together talking instead of actually checking on tables.
Will not return!
We just had to wait about 5-10 minutes for our server, but a manager(?) did come take our drink orders, after we had waited./
Great, friendly service. Delicious food - especially the salads. Terrific wine selection. It was rated as $$ out of $$$$, but based on the prices, I believe it should be $$$. In my opinion it was a bit overpriced ($15 hamburger), but delicious nevertheless. It was busy and quite noisy, so it was hard to have a conversation. Overall, I recommend it as long as you know these things on the front end.
First time visit: delicious food, frustrating service, music a bit too loud for easy conversation. Food alone would bring me back.
Best and most innovative pasta dish I’ve had in YEARS! Highly recommend the Gyro Saltibocca 👍
The food was outstanding. The service was great, but for a bit of a backlog at the bar. To his credit, our waiter was not just waiting at the bar for our drinks, but he was pitching in to help the overwhelmed bartender get the drinks out. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and look forward to another good experience there next time.
TruFire Southlake used to be good but clearly post covid has gone down hill.
Food . Had Pasta with Gyro Lamb . Overcooked to the point of being inedible .
Noise unreal . I had to ask for the music to be turned down three times. Eventually it was but then I realised the music was there to drown out the screaming kids .
Server was attentive though distracted as she was also training a new member of staff .
You need to buck up your ideas TruFire
We enjoy going to TruFire for Sunday brunch. Everything is always great. The only problem is the music is too loud. We did not go to a dance hall or a party bar we went for brunch. The music was so loud we could not speak to the person next to us or our wait person.
The food was good. Not great, but good. But it was over priced for what it was, in our opinion. Great patio. If the value was a little more in line with the quality, we’d make this a regular date night.
Hubby had the Akaushi burger and I had the turkey burger. While other items on the menu are more expensive, these dishes are a terrific value - more than reasonably priced. We get the fig salad (delicious) with the burgers instead of the fries (no extra charge). Service was very good and wait staff was extremely solicitous (we had at least four different people check in with us, asking if we needed anything and making sure food was to our liking). They have a nice outside patio.
We are regulars here and I highly recommend the restaurant!
Such a great first time experience. My friends loved everything especially the entertainment. Who doesn't love brunch?
I like this place and food was delicious, service was a bit slow and music was a bit loud for me but overall I would go back again for sure.
Great spot for brunch! Food was fantastic - huge breakfast pizza could easily be shared and fresh toast was delicious. Mimosas were made the way we asked and the music was a fun touch! It’s pretty loud/lots of energy so don’t go for a quiet Brunch. Will definitely be back!
4th of July tradition with great friends! Management, staff are always welcoming and accommodating!
I chose Trufire for my birthday luncheon with friends. Shelby was our server and she left nothing to be desired because she was excellent! From the warm greeting to us asking for recommendations which we ALL loved as well as her attention to detail, I will make sure to ask for her when we go back. We had the crab dip, spicy chicken & shrimp pasta, Mediterranean salad and Texas Fig Salad. All dishes were delicious and I highly recommend this gem!! The icing on the cake is also the young man who made sure to beat us to the door and open it for us to leave while also sending us off with a warm going away greeting. It’s the small things like this that matter and will stay forever etched in my mind. Thanks for the invigorating experience and I will certainly be sending people there.
Good food, service could of been better, server didn't come back and check if we needed anything.
Service was wonderful and food was good too!
Great place !
Went with wife and father in law to dinner. Server (Chris) was excellent and made us feel welcome and important. Was a special dinner made better by the good food and super service!
We usually go to the Frisco location. It may have just been an off night but the food wasn’t that great this time. Instead of pita with my flatbread appetizer they served a toasted hamburger bun...
This was our first visit. Great food and great service. Everything was tasty. Hummus was very fresh. Tuna tartare salad was excellent, especially the mango chutney. $2 mimosas were fun. Will definitely go back.
Service and everything was excellent !!!
This is a must go for brunch! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Even when crowded the servers and host did a great job! The food and drinks were amazing as well!
Excellent food and service. Our Fathers Day reservation was honored as requested with no waiting and the live music is always a plus
The brunch experience is extraordinary. Starting with wonderful bloodies, the food is so delicious. Combine it all with a Sinatra crooner...don’t be surprised if you tear up. Wonderful experience.
Unfortunately, the Ahi Tuna Salad was poor quality.
Salmon and desserts were good.
The food was delicious, I would recommend this place as an excellent blend of Mediterranean and Italian. Gyro Platter was to die for
First time and it was awesome! Big shout out to Tyler in the Southlake location! I'm sure he gets plenty of accolades, he was good!
We had Tyler as our server and the service was excellent along with the food and the atmosphere. Enjoyed it and will certainly be back
This has been a fav restaurant for years, and frequented during Covid due to their fabulous patio and GF menu, so giving some grace during the transition to "normal", however we were a bit disappointed with this visit. We made a Reservation for a regular "low table" - we were given a high top. Told nothing else available. There was live music which we normally enjoy, but it was too loud for the space and we struggled to have a conversation.
Food took exceedingly long time, with most arriving over cooked (pasta, artichoke, shrimp) while ahi tuna had no seasoning.
Our checks were incorrect but we went with it knowing they were busy, short staffed and the server overwhelmed.
Mimosas and salad were great as usual.
Not the same quality and service as it used to be. Great place and menu, but service needs to be reminded to check on tables at least once after they get their food and before you give the diner a bill. Was difficult to even get water. The item I have always ordered was definitely not up to the same par as prior visits. Maybe just an off night for the establishment. Specialty drinks were outstanding as usual though; the bartenders are talented.
We came here on a whim. The reviews were good, and they had a reservation time available. My goodness, it was good! We had the Crab Dip, which was so good and filling. We have decided to go back again and just get that and a couple of drinks! We had the gyro platter and the Italian sandwich, and they were delicious! Constance waited on us and she was awesome! Will definitely return!
The old-fashioned drink is one of the best there. The spicy noodles are amazing and always good. Our server very professional and took care of us very well. I would highly recommend eating at True fire
The food was just OK. For the second time in a row the pasta / chicken dish was over salted (and I like a lot of salt. It was also like warm indicative of sitting in the window for too much time prior to serving. Total cost was greater than $100 for the just OK meal.
It was a pretty good experience but service was slow.
Great date with my beautiful, hard-working wife, Karen. Food and drinks were amazing. Mia was very knowledgeable about every item on the plate. Eric makes outstanding Old Fashions.
There was a baby sitting close to us that keep screaming a very high pitched scream and her parents did nothing about it. I think the restaurant should have intervened to make sure all the other customers were not negatively affected. It was so loud it made us cringe every she screamed.
The service was great. The steak wasn’t tender and lacking flavor. I did love the wedge salad and their ranch dressing. The crab dip was ok as well.
Would be nice if some of the food items let me know if they were Spicy but other than that it was great fast service and deserts were delicious
