Great food and service
Always a best bet for me for personal and business.
This place is amazing. We relocated from NYC area and it's comparable in quality. Tuna appetizer is incredible. Their fish is not frozen /stored so that's why it's seasonal. A bit pricey but very tasty.
Great menu choices and nice server. Look forward to coming back
The edamame guacamole was fabulous. Sea Bass was amazing too!! The refresher drinks were also very good. Can’t wait to go back!!!!
Went for my birthday lunch and it took over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our food arrived before our drinks did and then when they finally made it to the table the martini my husband ordered was horrible. They had no olives and the bartender apparently doesn’t know how to make a proper martini. The next round we ordered arrived with 2 options. A second try at the martini and a lemon drop 😳
We spoke to 2 different managers during the lunch. The server was very nice and might have been new. Not sure. But when we got the bill for the 2 nasty martinis my husband vowed to never go back. We were charged $16.50 for each martini and they were both horrible. The second manager took one off the bill in the end.
I was bummed because TFK is my favorite restaurant 😞
Hot fan inoperative service lackadaisical kept having to ask for things
Food was good as usual, except for the overpriced appetizer of hard peaches and cheese. Probably a fluke, as a white person said that it is normally very good. The menu and food are generally excellent but our service was not up to standard last night. I don’t believe our complaints were ever taken to chef or manager. No manager ever came to talk to us about our experience. Management seemed non existent. Staff was a Bunch of kids running around trying to bail each other out.
We are kind and compassionate diners, having spent many years in food industry. We are very understanding about mistakes and oversight. It takes quite a lot of frustration for me to tip less than 20% at a minimum. I tipped 15% because the service was substandard. Our Server dropped the ball at the end of our meal. Could not get check, to go boxes or water. We never heard from a manager, there was no offer to compensate us for a lackluster dish and we waited endlessly for a to go box. Finally had to go to the kitchen and get it myself. We’re very understanding that in the restaurant industry it’s very hard to hire good people in the current market. My complaint lies not so much with the marginally competent staff, but with their training and The lack of chain of command when there is a problem. I believe the general manager may need to spend a little more time with his shift managers and creating more presence of management on the floor as well as building a functional relationship of communication between staff and management when problems to arise. GM has lost control. But it was just one night. We will be back because we live the menu and concept.
Healthy food options in an open and energetic atmosphere. Can't ask for more.
Once upon a time True Food was a revolutionary idea. We thrive on anti-inflammatory diets so we were elated to find this gem. Now-a-days they've really lost their edge with the updates to plant based, organic, and anti-inflammatory food choices. They need a pick-me-up. The best thing I had was a seasonal dish- fish- overall it was a nice meal although it had corn as one of the sides which is completely inflammatory. I don't know, maybe new owners of the franchise, but we're not impressed anymore with this chain. Not to mention the hostess was rude to someone on the phone, slammed the phone down, then processed to say "I don't care" and had the nerve to fake a smile with me and walk me to my table. "Glad that wasn't me on the phone". My bill was over $60- a dish for me and a pizza for the little one. We're over this place until they renew their commitment to quality of everything. (Legacy West, Plano location)
Food was decent but pretty bland and overpriced, service was poor. Beautiful space and ambiance but not worth the trip
I love this restaurant! It’s nuetral ground for a group with varied dietary restrictions. My only complaint was how loud it was in there. Other than that, perfect as usual.
I just wish they could get the order right. Ordered the burger without a bun, and cauliflower rice. They brought a burger with a bun, and cauliflower with some sort of sauce on it. Not the end of the world, but at $20 + tip & tax for a tiny burger patty and a very small bowl of cauliflower, the service and value just wasn't there. I love TFK but it seems like they've slipped a bit too much.
Good for healthy choices if you are eating plant based.
The food was excellent and Brianna provided excellent customer service!
Didn’t like the food. Restaurant not for me
The waitress was a bit slow with requests, but everything else about the experience was outstanding, from the food to the ambience.
True Food Kitchen is great for true foodies. The ingredients are not only fresh, but unique and inventive, and change with the seasons. You'll find things on the menu you won't find anywhere else, with a specific keen eye for bright flavors. The menu is also very vegetarian/vegan friendly, so we choose this restaurant when we don't want our Veg friends relegated to just a salad or plain pasta like at most restaurants. Would highly recommend.
Our family had dinner there. They were unfortunately out of Grass-Fed Beef, so my son had something else. Service was good; food was good (I had the Turkey burger) and my wife and other son loved their meals.
Ava is the best server ever. She is attentive and really on the spot !
Good was ok but needed way more seasoning. The service was good!
Great healthy food and great service
Service good - very friendly and attentive. Food not great. Appetizer (edamame dumplings) fantastic. Main course not. I had Sea Bass. Thirty dollar plate for dry fish. Wife’s dish was very bland. Don’t think I’ll be back.
Super yummy food- great wait staff- smiles and attention to details awesome!!!
Our experience at True was AMAZING. Our server was so sweet and patient with us, was perfect with timing, and got everything we needed with a great attitude! She made our experience even better! The food was out of this world, as always! The edamame dumplings are my go-to! We had the margarita pizza and chocolate cake as well, all phenomenal! The wine was delicious, and we also enjoyed a cocktail. Will dine here again, and again, and again!
I had the chicken panini. I thought the flavor was a bland and broccolini had large hard stalks pieces. I expect broccolini to be tender. The sweet potato hash was very good.
the service was great.
Great as always! One of favorites
We always enjoy our visits to true Food kitchen. Elston was a great server. Food was delicious!
Amazing food. Explosion of spices and tastes. Exactly what we were looking for.
It was very noisy. Food was good but it’s not a great place for a business lunch. The waitress couldn’t even hear.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I absolutely will be back in probably this week as the food was absolutely awesome. I had the hummus appetizer and the Seabass for dinner that everything was super tasty! Also our server was great!!
Excellent and very accommodating lovely experience going back tomorrow
Food was delicious. Service was greatly lacking. We ordered an appetizer. Our meals arrived but we never saw an appetizer. I cancelled it after our meals came and the server was surprised. Our server did not offer drink refills. We had tea and water. $5 is a lot of money for 1 small glass of iced tea. We are unlikely to return.
Excellent meal - Very niece menu with alot of healthy options presented in a unique way. My wife had the poke bowl and myself the sea bass - both were great - we will be returning.
Thank you Kirk for the compliments we appreciate you and look forward to your next visit.
It was too loud, which made it difficult to have a conversation
Great food. Friendly and attentive service.
Thank you for the 5 stars! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your visit with us!
Great bartender John. Great drinks. Food was excellent
Thank you for the 5 stars! We are so excited to share this with John, he will be thrilled to hear your kind words!
It was great!
Great option for those with allergies or who are looking for a healthier option! This is one of my favorite spots for these reasons, my husband was a good sport when his burger didn't come with fries :)
Melissa thank you for the compliments we are glad to hear that you enjoyed everything and that your husband was a great sport about us not having fries.
