Was way too busy, and was obviously understaffed.... we got no attention. Ordered things that were forgotten. Food took forever. Never was even asked for waters, and waitress never checked in until food came. My entree was $17 and so small that it was placed on a bigger plate so as not to show how tiny it actually was. Normally i love this place but will NEVER go on a Sunday ever again
Met friends for dinner last night and enjoyed some great food and wine at True Good Kitchen. The outdoor patio has a very nice ambiance! I love that dogs are welcome on the patio. Cauliflower polenta with tofu excellent!! See you soon.
Everything was excellent except the noise level was a bit high requiring we speak loudly....which then contributes to the noise level.

We had to wait 45 minutes for a table despite having a reservation. Next time the restaurant needs to make sure not to ‘over reserve’ or do something to mitigate the situation other than say ‘we are trying our best.’

Our waitress forgot about our table, so service was poor. The people waiting to be seated or waiting for an opening were waiting in the designated waiting area. However, our table was in the waiting area apparently so we had groups of people gathered round our table talking over our dining experience, yelling to their friends, or complaining. It made it a very uncomfortable dining experience and i don’t see myself going back there in the future.
Excellent service as always! Good choice of food. Delicious hand made hummus. The perfect healthy go to spot!!!
They have a lot of healthier options and it’s a good location.
The food and attentiveness were excellent. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated immediately. Food was excellent.
Pasadena is always the best, got to meet the chef from Santa Monica so will make a point to get down there.
The service in Pasadena is excellent... love this place.... wish there was on out in the West Covina area or Rancho Cucamonga...with that said only if the management from Pasadena could hire and train them....

It was nice but nothing was offered for birthdays.

The staff was well-trained, friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent from the appetizers to the entrées especially the bowl Items. We were there on a Sunday brunch very busy but our reservation time was honored.
On a moderate to high side for pricing but good value
If you want to actually have a conversation, ask to be outside on the heated patio as on a Saturday night, the inside was extremely loud. But the food was wonderful! We went there again for brunch!

It was a busy Saturday evening. And while the staff we all very friendly, it was clear the kitchen was slammed and as a result, the quality was less than we’ve had previously and the waitress made mistakes.

We like this place. The food is good. Ambience is great (though crowded) but inside rooms are SO loud you can’t have a reasonable conversation. Sitting outside us best but really need to check temperature, rain, and wind. Service has always been good.
I love this place but something must have been off this visit:-/the sea bass was way over cooked and rubbery. Drinks were ok but not consistent...two of us ordered the margarita and one looked like only juice and the other looked watered down.

I went out with my to kids for my birthday. We were sitting for 3a long time and hadn't placed our order. I asked a busser for help, and soon a gentleman who I assumed was a manger came over and took our order. So, we didn't order food for over 30 minutes after arriving, and we knew what we wanted within 5 minutes. The manager knew exactly what we wanted - the kids wanted to split a GF pizza with sausage and the fennel (which he said was sliced) on only half the pizza. The pizza arrived with half sausage and no fennel. When I brought it up with the waiter, she said the fennel is in the sausage. She took it back to the kitchen and brought it back with all sausage and half sliced fennel.

Really great find! The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. I had the Winter Immunity Bowl and loved it. Super delicious and healthy. Will definitely go back.

The food was great, the setting was beautiful, the service was good, the noise was deafening. The noise was so loud, we could not talk with one another at all. I would love to keep going to this restaurant but if I do, we will only sit outside where the noise level might be somewhat less.

Great food, excellent service, nice patio on a gorgeous day!
The only hiccup was that I stated that this outing would be a surprise birthday late lunch and to include a birthday dessert. Then I reminded the waiter before the birthday guest arrived and he thanked me for giving him heads up. There was no acknowledgement of the birthday until after the check came. It was a verbal birthday greeting that was kind of an afterthought. No birthday dessert with candle. So even though the meal, service and experience was great, it all ended on a sour note because what I had planned was not executed accordingly. That essentially threw the baby out with the bath water for me.

My tomato soup was served room temperature and my friends sweet potato’s were also dry and cold.
My margarita pizza wasn’t cooked all the way through.

This is a good place to get good healthy food, even if you have a margarita or two.
The table next to use had a rowdy dog party during which the dogs climbed all over the couches and tables and ate from True Food bowls and plates. The person manning the front desk said “any amount of dogs is okay in the patio.” I’m not sure the health inspectors would agree... It was an expensive and alarming meal. Not enjoyable at all.

My friend and I met for Brunch. My friend arrived first, and the wait staff immediately knew where she was when I arrived. We shared avocado toast with a Prairie Mary and then banana pancakes with tea. Everything came already split into two separate servings. The food was delicious and the service was top notch.
True food use to be more accommodating to making food for people who have allergies. Now, they’re becoming like a chain where they can’t or won’t. Maybe they’re just busy that night and can’t? But if this is something ongoing, I don’t see myself being able to go anymore which is sad because true food is (or use to be) one of my favorite restaurants. My server was great as she tried her best to accommodate my needs but she didn’t give me my receipt with the breakdown of food costs so I didn’t notice that she didn’t apply my coupon. Overall, not a great experience and disappointed for the value I had to pay.
Everything was great but it took a while for the food to come out. The dood started trickling in instead of just getting it all at once. Everyone had their food and we still waited 20 extra minutes for my cousins food :(

Great food, outstanding service. A must try in Pasadena.
Food was overly saucy with overpowering sauce and service was very slow albeit very friendly. Drinks were extremely backed up. We got our lemonade with the check.
