   Last minute group reservation for 9 of us and most had never been. The restaurant had just finished a small private party, so they quickly turned the room and reset for lunch diners. Fast service, great menu, great plate presentations and flavors.

   We really like this restaurant! The ambiance and food were amazing. However, the service was poor! After we were seated, we didn't have a waiter/waitress drop by for about 15 minutes! My wife had to get up to find someone and ask for assistance! For the remainder of the meal, the service was very spotty as well. It was weird - we must've had a half dozen different people who dropped by during the course of the meal and you'd think that would represent good service but it wasn't. My coffee went empty and I waited for a refill. Then when someone came by and asked if I would like a refill, he eventually came back and poured hot water instead of coffee. He then had to take my cup and fill it with coffee. I was surprised at this poor level of service for what was otherwise a great restaurant.

   It was a fairly pleasant lunch and would have been more enjoyable had the ambient noise not been so loud. All the sound of people speaking loudly to overcome the noise reverberated all around us, so it was a struggle to have a conversation and hear each other, and we sat next to each other. We were sitting in the section that is near the kitchen entrance, so maybe I’ll have to request better seats next time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

   This place has gone downhill as it focuses more on volume and crowd-pleasing food-as-entertainment. It's abandoned its commitment to healthy food and vegan options. This is LA: you can get awesome, delicious vegan burgers almost anywhere, but not here, where they are afterthoughts, just modifications on the standard meat ones. Hummus is runny because they are watering it down and spicing it up with jalapeno to disguise it. Come back to your roots, TFK!

    First impressions count and we came back because we were greeted by a friendly host/hostess, seating was ample and umbrellas for shade. Our servers were awesome, super friendly and attentive. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the menu has a host really delicious, healthy meals do it’s hard to chose. Definitely going back next month to try something new. I highly recommend this restaurant and there’s ample parking just behind the restaurant and valet parking.

    If you’re a fan of fresh and delicious, as well as, wholesome meals. I highly recommend this spot. Their edamame guacamole is pure delicious and refreshing. Also, big fan of their Bolognese lasagna. Above and beyond for guest services.

    We were celebrating a birthday, and found the food to be at its usual high-level. Unfortunately, the service was very slow this particular day. That may have been due to the large crowd of diners.

    The staff were friendly, gracious and accommodating. The servers organization was lacking, with several different servers trying to take orders and bring out food. Appetizers and drinks arrived promptly, although there was some miscommunication with the back of the house about items that were 86d after Mother's Day. The appetizers were amuse bouche – sized. Pizza was serviceable. kimchi fried rice bowl wasn't exactly fried rice, and I found it to be a touch too spicy to appreciate the kimchi and nutty flavors from the black rice. The bill took forever to get to us, but that is partially because the restaurant really filled up quickly, and was busy by the time we left.

    Man, I want this place to be better than it is. I keep giving it another try and it’s been a disappointment. Servers are overworked and undersupported. Food is inconsistent, some overly spicy for no reason and some so bland. Great space that they stuff too many tables into so it’s too loud and you can’t move around easily. Good selection of gluten free menu items makes me root for this restaurant. I hope management can make some positive changes to support their staff.

    True Food Pasadena was unprepared for the level of business they encountered on Mother’s Day. I wish they had better systems in place so that those that made reservations could enjoy their experience. We were sat 35 mins after checking in and waited well over an hour and half to eat. Meters had expired and everything. Customer service was exceptional given the circumstances. Very kind server, mgr came over to apologize with a free appetizer and we each got a free dessert. I’m pretty sure that these accommodations were made for most guests as it should be - which continued to back things up; actually I’m not sure why things were so backed up as we never received a reason. Again, just wish they were better prepared as our decision to celebrate at TF is now deemed a bad one. Just so disappointing having anticipated a lovely brunch w/mom. I would be hesitant on selecting TF for any major holiday. Do better TF.

    Had a reservation but had to wait an additional 30 minutes before actually being seated . This was our second year in a row going on Mother’s Day and we did not have this experience last year on Mother’s Day . Good food but you could tell the staff was exhausted and spread thin.

    I received an email a couple days before Mother's Day to make an appointment and decided to try thinking it may not happen given it was so close to Mother's Day. I was surprised by the availability, so I thought. I took my 98 year old mother but was disappointed at the overbooking resulting in us waiting almost an hour to get seated and another hour to receive the food. The staff is always the very best and I could tell they were very apologetic about the very long wait. Would I do this again. No, not on a special day. Will I come back on a normal day. Yes.

    I recently dined at True Foods for a reservation at 12:30 pm on Mother's Day, and I wanted to share some feedback on my experience. While I was excited to celebrate the occasion with my family, I was disappointed that we had to wait for over an hour before being seated. Additionally, the noise level in the restaurant was very high, and the service staff seemed overwhelmed with the number of customers. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find that the Mother's Day special had limited options available, and the food took a long time to arrive. We were done by 3 pm, and we noticed that the customers next to our table even asked for a 50% discount because they were also waiting a long time for their food. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I wanted to suggest that they should consider taking fewer reservations to avoid overbooking or hiring additional staff to manage busy days like Mother's Day.

    They completely overbooked for Mothers Day. It was chaos. Seated 45 minutes after our reservation. Reservation was for inside because of heat and elderly family members. Were seated outside with half the table in the sun. Food took an hour and a half and multiple orders were wrong. Would have been another half hour for lunch. Servers and cooks were doing the best they could but management was greedy and set them up to fail. One server quit in the middle of the madness. Multiple moms said they ruined Mother’s Day.

    We had a reservation at 12:15 pm on Sunday (Mother's Day). They didn't seat us until almost 1 pm. The food did not arrive until around 1:45 pm. The server was beyond nice and attentive, but their was chaos at the check-in and people waiting on Colorado to be seated over 45 minutes. The restaurant was ill equipped for the amount of parties and reservations. I would recommend this place for the food, but maybe not the service.

    VISITED FOR MOTHER'S DAY...SUPER BUSY, BUT THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE PRETTY GOOD SERVICE, OUR ENTREE'S WERE DELAYED IN ARRIVING, AND THE MGR DID COMP US AN ORDER OF DELICIOUS RICOTTA MUFFINS, WHICH WAS VERY APPRECIATED AFTER THE LONG DELAY IN OBTAINING OUR MEALS.     We were large a party and had to delay the reservation by an hour on the day of dining. The staff was very accommodating to reschedule the reservation. Great service and delicious food. Everybody enjoyed the dinner.

    because you are a healthy restaurant, when adding sauces/toppings/condiments ie subbing out feta cheese for non dairy option on burger, it does not have to be gushing out the sides. It's not a photo shoot. I have to eat it and I don't need that much. Nobody does. Thank you. Less waste, less spill, less food.

    I always enjoy my meal at True Food. There are lots of great vegetarian options. My only complaint is that they took the Inside/Out Burger off the menu. It was great. :(
