Fish was undercooked, sent back, and under cooked again! Didn’t get water until after meal served. An off day I guess.
We have been here a number of times, with varying levels of service. We have felt that the food has really been quite good; but the freshness level seemed a bit off
One of my favorite restaurants hands down! I always love the never ending healthy options 🥰💚
As always, the food was fabulous. Noise level makes it difficult to have a conversation.
The noise levels were intense. One dish, a bowl, was not presented as described and when my guest asked the server about the change in ingredients, he said the kitchen was transitioning. Not cool!!
The restaurant was too loud for conversation and the portions were very small for the price. $14 for a "bowl" of quinoa with no protein is a little ridiculous.
We will definitely come back to True Food Kitchen. I do wish that your menu was a bit more specific on all items food items included in each dish. One of the members of our party ordered the ancient grains bowl minus the farro with the understanding that quinoa would replace the farro, but instead it came out with rice.
This was maybe my 5th time to TF and my husband and son's 1st time. Service is always excellent. We did multiple courses & drinks and everything was wonderful. We will definitely be back.
My healthy go-to restaurant in Nashville. Good food, fun ambiance and nice staff.
Always great with seasonal options. Each time I’ve been, Service is very slow and takes thirty minutes for the food to arrive. Do not go if you’re in a hurry
Great fish tacos - and kombucha on the menu is one is a highlight! The menu offers so many great choices, its a challenge to pick one thing, so go with friends so you can share!
The service and food were fantastic and will bring me back. The noise level is too high to have conversation at a normal level...we found ourselves speaking very loudly across the table at each other.
One of the best spots in Nashville! Healthy and always delicious. Friendly service
We sat outside and the patio was lovely. Inside can be noisy, but we didn’t notice noise from street traffic. We’d had a great view of the sunset! Highly recommend the patio if the weather allows.
Our server was great and always a great atmosphere. Also they are very knowledgeable about food allergies and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is correct.
Always delicious and fresh!
My friends and I have been wanting to try True Food for a while and we were absolutely not disappointed! Amazing food, amazing people, amazing aesthetic. Thank you! 10/10 will be back.
Food was excellent and plenty of it! Everyone liked their choices: Chopped Salad, Summer Redfish, and Hamburger. Desserts were: Flourless Chocolate Cake, Chia Seed Pudding, and Vanilla Ice Cream. Again, no one was disappointed with their choice. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. A few caveats to the night. The food seemed overpriced but would go back. Between the music and conversation, the open dining area was loud. Another strange observation, the water (or glasses) we were served, smelled very fishy and unpleasant. In all fairness, we didn’t say anything to our waiter so he didn’t get the chance to correct the issue but it was an odd situation.
Great spot with great food!
Have been twice now. Very much enjoyed food both times; only issue is that noise is disruptive inside, and still at a high level even with outdoor seating. Might be best for takeout or off-time dining.
Hummus was great! Grilled fish tacos was even better!
I booked this reservation for our "after Church group" because several of them are ultra healthy eaters. I have eaten here once before and felt it was pricey but OK. I assured the other eaters that it was good and you could still get a burger. Things started off badly when one of our party was drinking out of his water and I noticed a piece of paper in his glass. It was a stuck straw wrapper (none of us had straws at the table). GROSS! He had been drinking for some time, so we had them bring him another glass. Several ordered burgers, one of which was not made correctly and had to be returned. Typically the burger comes with a side of taziki sauce or something. None of ours did. We asked for ketchup. THEY WERE OUT OF KETCHUP (ummm... Trader Joe's is right across the street). Two ordered the Blueberry Pancakes and THEY WERE OUT OF SYRUP! Seriously, if you are out of syrup then you shouldn't be selling pancakes! Our server literally said, "You can take the sugar on the table and some water and make syrup." Finally she offered Taziki sauce, to which all the burger eaters agreed upon, ordering 4 sauces. They brought us one small ramekin FOR THE ENTIRE TABLE OF 6. Server kept saying, "I'm sorry, I wish I could get your sauces out faster." Which we responded, "we've already eaten our dry burgers." Sauce never came, what restaurant is out of KETCHUP, and who sells pancakes without syrup. Our meal should've been discounted AT THE VERY LEAST when TRASH was found in a water glass. Needless to say, I won't be in charge of making the after church reservations anymore. The entire party of 6 was infuriated. We paid our bills in full and did tip... but this is beyond horrible service. I don't foresee this place staying open long at this rate. I will never be back.
very very loud inside (always!), so we sat on the patio where it was nice and quiet
Diverse menu, great service, and valet parking was appreciated.
Wonderful food, amazing server. There were so many delicious food choices. We will definitely be back!
I love true foods but I would mention that the prices are high for the amount of food they give you. It's not the best value. The service we had was terrible and they took our leftovers and never brought them back. Which was a huge waste of at least 15 dollars. Overall not impressed with the service.
Value was ridiculous! A very small piece of fish in two SMALL fish tacos- so over-priced! I was told before going that food pricing was over priced for what you get! My husband has been in the food business starting in New Orleans so we understand the restaurant business quite well.
The redfish was excellent!
Food was unique, delicious, and very well prepared. I will go back and try some of the other items. I especially enjoyed the sparkling peach tea
The tofu added to my entree had no flavor; it was dropped onto the entree and seemed like an afterthought. Beware of asparagus--mine didn't have the woody ends cut off. It was tough to eat. The beer selection and appetizers were great.
Great! Loved the food!
Long wait for late lunch today! Flatbread was just “meh”, summer cocktails were delicious, fish tacos (once they arrived) were good as always. Very expensive for what you get - everything is overpriced by about 30% which creates a poor value when combined with small portions, slow service and very loud atmosphere. True Food is a delightful concept but needs to regroup.
Good food, GREAT service, great vibe. Perceived healthy food...can be a bit bland on some dishes but overall, good dining experience. The service staff is exceptional and actually remembers you when you come back. Certainly a "must do" for eating out in Nashville.
All the food is so fresh
Food needs to be better flavored and seasoned. All the dishes we ordered were OK, but nothing was really outstanding. Best dish was lasagna. Noise level was very loud.
The waiter made our experience exceptional! Great service
We were served cold breakfast food. Very disappointing.
Great good for low calories. Nice variety of foid
Food is a nice mix. Had the steak tacos. Almost a pulled pork consistency but nice taste. Wife had salmon good flavor. Edamame potstickers worked. Big shout out on "background" music. We were outside and it was in fact background music. Nashville restaurants seem to think if you have to scream over the music the place has "energy" it doesn't.
