We have enjoyed dining at True Food Kitchen in Naples on many occasions; however, our most recent experience this week was only “satisfactory” instead the the usual “great” because the staff really seemed either untrained or uncaring. After being seated, no one came to take our order. My husband had to get up and go to one of the three hostesses standing at the door to request someone come to to our table. I ordered a cava when I ordered dinner, but did not get it until I asked for it a second time once the food arrived. It was flat, not bubbly. As I was eating dinner, a petite lady entered the restaurant to pick up a very large take out order and was struggling to balance everything. Even though the restaurant was almost empty at that early hour, none of the staff offered to help. In fact, she passed four staff members standing at the door talking to each other, none of whom even bothered to open the door for her. I know these are all small observations, but they add up to the type of service I am sure you are not encouraging. I thought you might want to know.
Food was amazing but waiter didn’t check on us after we had finished eating for 15 minutes. Had to flag him to bring check. Not impressed at all. Had a delicious meal though.

Front desk was terribly casual.
The 2 young ladies supposedly in charge of greeting guests did not look professional or act professional. In fact I thought they were other customers. They did not connect or act warmly with any of the guests.
Our table was dirty when we were seated and had to be wiped off, per our asking. Several times the hostess seated 2 people at a table for four by the window, which should have been saved for larger parties. There were more than a few tables for two available in the same area.Our server was a nice young man, however he didn’t seem very experienced. A serving of soup was warm, not nearly as hot as it should have been. The same with the edemame dumplings. It was a terribly “off” night. Not sure I want to chance another visit anytime soon. It was a mediocre evening, at best.

We were a group of 10 adults celebrating the wedding of life long friends. The evening started poorly and went downhill from there. We made reservations for our group several weeks in advance and confirmed the day before that we would be coming. When we arrived, we had to wait for 10 minutes while they "put our table together". During that time, 3 different hosts asked if they could help us. We were seated inside and several minutes later our waitress came to take our drink order. Our drinks were served in 3 separate batches over the next 5 minutes. After having been in the restaurant for over an hour, we called our waitress over to the table to ask if our food would be coming out soon. Her response was, "you know I have other tables, so I am not just waiting on you." Coincidentally, our food was served immediately and the majority was cold. The manager came over to apologize, and offered to re-make our entrees but as it had already been over an hour, we declined. He then offered to take the entrees off the bill which we appreciated however, when the waitress brought the check, it was for the full amount. When I brought the check to the manager, he argued with me that it had been changed. Then he looked at the check and said, "Oh, she gave you the original." I can see where there were mistakes made and the attempts to rectify them, but they continually fell short.

The butternut squash pizza had little taste - vegan ricotta was blah - needed seasoning and herbs. Liked the burning fireplace on the patio.
This was my third visit to True Food in Naples. Each time I've been disappointed with the menu - there are few and uninspiring offerings for vegans at this "health-driven seasonal food restaurant" and this most recent time, on Easter Sunday, the service was so poor that I am unlikely to return.
Easter Sunday experience: The host was fine but the server for our table (who was wearing his mask _under_ his nose during a global pandemic) was inattentive and uninterested. I think it's fair to say he was "phoning in" his job. He didn't give us the special Easter brunch menu until we saw others with it and asked for it, he never checked in on us or refreshed our drinks: I sat with an empty water glass for well over 30 minutes - it was over an hour between his visit to our table to take our order and drop our check, and when he brought the check I had my credit card in my hand to pay the bill and he just put the check paper down, walked away, and never returned. Some time later another server - who was clearly doing a good, attentive job with her tables - took pity on us and ran my payment. We surely could have walked out without paying and without anyone noticing.
As for food quality, the sunny side up eggs on my guest's avocado toast were served cold, her cocktail separated, and the strawberry quinoa pancakes that I had were just ok and not filling. Had the server come by our table, I likely would have added a small plate to my meal as well as a beverage other than water. Alas.
I shared the feedback about the server with the floor manager on my way out of the restaurant. He said he'd speak to the staffer in question and did not offer anything to make it right.
In contrast, the Lake Park Diner offers a more inspired menu and far superior service by the staff even though theirs is a counter order rather than a table service concept.
I hope you'll try harder, True Food Naples.

Great appetizers. Edamame dumplings and Brussels sprouts. Shrimp taco was good but steak was taco was not. Meat was chewy and terrible. Will probably give it another try.

We loved this restaurant so much we visited twice in three days. Same server both days, which was fortunate because he was so very helpful describing the menu. Would absolutely visit again and intend to do so.

I shared the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and it was delicious. The turkey burger wrapped in lettuce was accompanied by kale salad and roasted butternut squash. Quite a delicious meal and very filling. Definitely something I will order again.

Burger way under cooked, shrimp tacos borderline inedible. $5 for lemonade, which basically amounted to homemade
lemon water. Took forever to get our food and it wasn’t busy. Has a couple experiences here but this one was aweful.

I'm a regular at True Food- love everything about it- quality of food, service & environment. Since COVID, it has been pretty limited on all 3 but by now, a year later, I expected better. Instead, my steak tacos were chewy, the taco itself tough & inedible, and the primary waitress completely unfriendly, short with us and very inattentive. Her trainee was delightful on the other hand. The little tiny table we were at was shoved in the corner by the baby highchairs- not much of a view to be sure!
Just had to say- it will be a long while before I try this restaurant again...

Always enjoy dining at True Food. We shared the cauliflower appetizer which is delicious. Two of us the the spaghetti squash casserole and the third person had a delicious salad. Definitely a restaurant to return to often!

Celebrated a friends birthday and many had not eaten at this delightful restaurant. We all will come back and bring friends. I had the chopped salad and it was one of my favorite salads ever.
