Good experience. Only a few problems:
1. Way too loud!
2. Ran out of sauce for satay
3. Waiter said kitchen was behind, so food did take too long. Don’t seem to know how to handle flow yet

True Food is in my weekly rotation but it's pretty hit or miss. On the right now the food and service are in sync and it's the experience you hope for. However, my last two visits were underwhelming. One visit the service was flat out terrible including our interaction with the Manager that evening and the other visit the staff was nice but spotty we had to keep grabbing random servers for basic needs like refills and flatware. The food is always good enough but some days its outstanding and on busier days it's definitely a little lacking I've even noticed dishes skimping on vegetables. Overall I will continue to support because of the healthier tasty options but would love the service and food to be more consistent.

The venue was very accommodating for our large group. Our wait staff took great care of us, ensuring that water glasses were ropped up and checking in to see whether we needed anything. They took care of us without hovering. Food was amazing! Several kids had the pizza, the hummus appetizer was phenominal. Those who had the craft cocktails said they were wonderful, others enjoyed wine or beer. The inside-out quinoa burger was pronounced a hit, as well as the steak tacos and the poke bowl.
Would definitely eat here again when in the area - either with just my family or with a large group.

Food was too spicy and hot. Need dishes for people that like mild food without hot and zesty spices.

True Food really knows how to put together awesome flavors. Best fish tacos I have ever had. Plus so much more. Everything is unusual but very smart, healthy and yummy. Eating outside the noise level is better; inside just very noisy. But a great staff and the chefs are A+.

Service was terrible. ZERO for service. Long wait for someone to come to the table after we were seated, Long wait for drinks, not informed about gluten free questions, no one refilled waters, long wait to get apps and dinner. Apps were pathetic, very small. Dinners were average. Party of 6.
Very disappointing and frustrating.

Our experience didn't start on a positive note when the hostess did not even meet our eyes when we gave our name with the reservation. She asked if we would like to be seated outside (still hasn't made eye contact), we declined, then said we'd have to wait for a table. We said that would be fine, and she then asked again if we could be seated outside. We declined again and sat at the bar to have a cocktail while we waited. Jeremy at the bar made a TASTY dirty martini and was a dream!

Our waiter was pleasant and the food arrived quickly. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to par. My Korean noodles were too spicy and lacked any flavor besides spicy. My dad's pizza was lukewarm and chewy. My mom got cauliflower polenta that lacked the creaminess you expect. It just tasted like boiled cauliflower with veggies on top. Her dish was also overly spiced. Also--the atmosphere is LOUD given the open concept, including the open kitchen. We were seated close to the kitchen and had to yell over the table to each other. Can't say we'll be back.

Food was very good. Nice variety of flavors. Service was OK. The hostess seemed rather disinterested, she seated us next to people who had a dog with them, (this was inside not outside the restaurant) . While I'm not sure what the dog policy is, we felt we should have been asked if it was OK with us to be seated there. We ordered 2 appetizers and 1 entree to share. We waited over 20 minutes and then they brought out all of the food at once, instead of the apps first. Also, 1 of the apps was not what we ordered. They quickly corrected that error, however. We were there on a Saturday afternoon, so it wasn't at all busy.
Probably would give this place another chance, since we liked the food. As far as recommending this place to others, we would, but with caveats.

I would only recommend True Food Kitchen to a friend if that person found themselves in the vicinity of the KOP location. Though not tremendously impressive (the service is more often than not A+), I could do a hell of a lot worse True Food Kitchen. They always have more than a few vegetarian options to choose from on their menu, and I've enjoyed many of their featured non-alcoholic drinks as well. Oh, and if the squash pie is available, do yourself a favor and enjoy a slice for dessert.

I am a frequent guest and I have to say, not a great experience! I requested a corner booth which was sat right before I arrived for my Rez, and was bringing a friend for the first time. The service was a bit slow and the cauliflower (which I always get) was burned and did not have the same on it or the raisins. dam not sure what was going on this night, but not a great experience and disappointing!

Not as tight as usual.
Food came out cold.
Tried to get ketchup for a burger and had to go to bar.
Still took too long.

Had been in the food business for many years(sold them), and also on boards for some institutions. Have never complained, but these things are good to know.

Excellent food.
Horrible service, gone back there 3 times since January to enjoy the food and hope the service is a little better than the previous visit. The service gets progressively worse each time.
Too bad, they do have the right idea food wise.

Our meals were good. We come often and we noticed that today there was a lot less sweet potato hash on our plates which was disappointing. The lavender float was yummy as was the key lime dessert. Service was good too and no problems getting seated on the 4th of July.

Very loud restaurant. Detracted from table conversation. Server was very good. Lavender Tea too sour and lot of soda. Peach Tea had no peach flavor and too much soda. Fish tacos seasoned inconsistent. One has fish so spicy it was inedible. It was covered in Red. Other was white with minimal seasoning. Couldn’t eat the spicy one.

Dinner tonight was AWESOME!!! Our waiter, Semaj, was very friendly. We decided to eat outside after the rain because it was nice out. We hadn't been here in a while, so it was our first time back in a long time! For drinks, we brought our own water. For an appetizer, Mom had the Chopped Salad, which had medjool dates, dried cranberries, jicama, organic apples, manchego cheese, farro, marcona almonds, and a champagne vinaigrette. She enjoyed it! She also had a side order of the Cucumber Salad, which she loved!! For the main course, Dad ordered the Ancient Grains Bowl, which had miso sesame glazed sweet potatoes, turmeric, charred onions, snow peas, grilled portobellos, avocados, and hemp seeds. It's one of my mom's favorite dishes here! My mom ordered the TLT Sandwich which had smoked tempeh, butter lettuce, organic tomatoes, avocados, and vegan mayonnaise, severed on seeded grain bread served with a sweet potato hash. She LOVES it!! You can't tell the difference between that and a regular BLT! I ordered the Margherita Pizza, my favorite! It has crushed organic DiNapoli tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil! The best pizza in the world! For dessert, I ordered the Flourless Chocolate Cake! Delicious! It had caramel, almonds, vanilla ice cream, and a cacao nib. I highly recommend it!! The general manager, Joel, and the two new assistant managers, Alexis and Luke, all came by to say hello and asked how our food was! One of our favorite healthy places to come to! We came after seeing a movie, so it was pretty crowded. Can't wait to come back again soon!

First time visiting and I thought the concept was a good one. We ordered an appetizer of flatbread with corn and goat cheese which was tasty but a little short on the 'featured' ingredients. There were just a few kernels of corn which made me actually remember they were supposed to be one of the star ingredients. Same shortage on the goat cheese. I then ordered the Korean noodle bowl with steak which left me with burning lips and tongue. The waiter and hostess (manager?) were very accommodating and had it remade with less OUCH and it was much better. My friend ordered the pizza with sausage and seemed to enjoy it. We split the chia seed banana pudding which was presented in a very small dish and looked unremarkable. It was about 4 spoonfuls from start to finish. All in all, a good experience but not exceptional.

Very loud initially as it was full, but it quieted down (or we got used to it).

Service poor again. Mains come while dirty appetizer plates are still in front of us and server just hands us our main and waits for us to clear out place. Has happened each of last two visits ! Two of us ordered the seasonal draft i p a. Waitress brought one and said bartender said it was the last one. How do you run out of a printed menu
draft beer item at 3 pm on a weekday?
No more true food for us
