True Food Kitchen - Dallas

Second time in a few weeks that the bun was stale and meat overcooked on my grass fed burger. I expect better from a $17 burger. Probably won’t be going back.

True Food Kitchen just not the same. You now order and pay from your phone. No longer a need for a server. Two of us ordered things they were out of. If most of the restaurant experiences in Dallas still feel the same, why have they gone so overboard? This was my last visit and know that this was one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas.

No heat at the restaurant. Food options were limited. The food was good but expensive. The portions were smaller than they have been for instance on the burger with kale and sweet potato sides - the sides were smaller than ever before.

It's a casual place but the food is very good. I like that they emphasize fresh, non-processed ingredients. My date wanted to have a jack and coke and was amused when our server said they don't serve sodas. He ordered a different drink and was satisfied with it. Between us we ordered the edamame dumplings, the chicken lasagna and the shrimp tacos. It was all very good.

Loved the shrimp tacos in a lettuce wrap! I have 8 food allergies and this was perfect!!
It was a good noise level where My friends and I could talk and celebrate a birthday!

Liked the partitions and table distancing

All three of us really enjoyed our dinner — we eat here a lot and we’re never disappointed and feel healthy, too!

Band food and mediocre service. I didn’t enjoy at all and ended up leaving to go to another restaurant. This was not the restaurant for me.

I requested to make reservations for Truth Kitchen and it schedule me for the wrong restaurant! Spoke with other people ans it done the same to them!

Food is always good. The menu and ordering and payment through QR code was ridiculous. Both the ordering and the payment needed intervention from a waitress, therefore requiring more interaction than a traditional service at a restaurant. In attempts to be completely Covid-friendly, it turned me off. I will wait until normal service resumes before returning.

I was very disappointed with the food and service at True Food. I have been here several times and have enjoyed every visit before but this last visit was poor. It was very packed for a in-dining experience during COVID. We were seated very close to the tables next to us. Our server was short with us, rarely checked on us, was unhelpful when it came to ordering. At one point, she grabbed a dish out of my hand and slammed it down in the middle of our table - I was in the middle of transferring the dish over to my main plate to open up space on the table to eat. I’m appalled at the service we received and was even more disappointed when I saw the same server providing the tables around us (Caucasian customers) with better service. Our tacos and sides were dry and bland. I will not be returning to this location.

Sat outside on chilly January day. They have heaters. It was warm and comfortable. Had a plastic shield between us and the next table. True Food is taking good precautions with COVID 19 so customers can feel safe.

I met a friend for lunch. They were busy as usual. It is super loud. They had an app for ordering so basically you order online and they deliver to your table. So it was really hard to flag down a waiter to get anything extra. Also had a table facing the sun so the sun was harshly in my eyes the whole time. Maybe installing some shades on the north side would help. The food is always great and I love eating here.

Their newly adopted full service order and payment via cell are great but has lots of bugs - especially with the payment portion.

The waitstaff and hostesses all act as if they really don’t want to be there. It’s a shame because the food is excellent.

Haven't had True Food for nearly a year and it was even better than I remembered. Food was beyond delicious, highly recommend their Tuscan Kale Salad! (that's coming from someone who normally dislikes kale!)

The manager, Patrick and Travis were great and our server Joey was very attentive and prompt. Great service great food!!

My wife and I had a lot of fun here on a date. COVID protocols were very good. We felt safe. The service was excellent, and our server was very excited about the food they offered. My drink from the bar was great too. A very healthy meal that made us feel great about what we were consuming. We will definitely be back!

We had a great waiter who was able to provide options for staying Whole 30 compliant. The food hit the spot, healthy and delicious!

Very nice. Had many options for Vegans. Service was awesome as well.

Salmon undercooked and brown rice was hard as rocks!

The waiter thanked us for being there because he said it was so slow. It was snowing in Dallas so I’m sure that kept most people in and ordering takeout. The food was very good and I was thankful to be there and dine in.

We were looking for vegan options. There began options were delicious and we were impressed with the prices compared with the ambience. We will definitely be back.

Waitress was amazing , delicious food and ambience good (especially with Covid).

Food was great. Yummy drinks. Staff was great - well our server was maybe having a long day. But every one else was great.

This is one of our fav spots and it ddint disappoint!

I love True Food ! The food is consistently great & fresh. I always get the ancient grains bowl with Salmon & the hummus as an app. They have added see through partitions for your dining experience during the plandemic & I believe that many people appreciate that during their dining experience. My server was great, and I am looking forward to returning soon.

everything we’ve had here has been amazing!

Love this place. The kale drink and the winter immunity bowl were fantastic! So tasty and felt clean and fresh. (I believe True Food does takeout...I will have to order this on the regular.) The edamame dumplings are a favorite. We got a second portion. So so so good. Chocolate lava cake was great too...tasted pretty decadent. Service was quick and friendly. Awesome.

The service was outstanding , professional as always . Food was fabulous

I always love this restaurant. They had the most delicious salmon dish with pesto grains and arugula and they took it off the menu. I asked if they could make it for me but it did not resemble the original. Why try to fix something that is not broken??? That was one of the best menu items and it is gone. Very disapponted!

Had a wonderful, delicious Christmas Eve meal with family. Enjoyed a flavorful entree that was healthy but not heavy. Would definitely recommend!
