   We had a great experience at a birthday dinner for 3, food was so tasty and drinks were great as well. The only thing I would say makes the experience a little less satisfactory is that the food takes a good amount of time to come out. I would definitely suggest taking a look at the menu prior to your dinner/lunch and having a few appetizers in mind so you can get those a bit quicker.

   The food was excellent. Each of us was very happy with the choices we made: Fall Pesto Pasta, Spaghetti Squash Casserole, and Grilled Chicken & Mozzarella Panini. Our server, Sochi (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was fantastic! She was friendly, helpful, upbeat, more than accommodating, and funny. Our overall experience was superior at True Food Kitchen.

   Food was excellent and I'll def come again. We ended up just inputing food orders on the app because otherwise servers don't really stop by your table.

   Best food I had during my entire trip to Chicago! Ordered the Brussel Sprouts as our starter, the Poke bowl and teriyaki quinoa bowl for our entrees. They were exquisite! Will definitely be back during our next visit to Chicago!

   I hadn't been back in some time and came back for lunch today. The food was awful. The flatbread and pesto pasta had zero flavor. We added chicken to the pasta and it was chewy and dry. I am blown away by how terrible that was. I was the one to recommend True Food Kitchen, so it was very embarassing.

   I went here with my wife. I ordered the Panang Curry which tasted bad. My wife's food was fine. The waitress came to ask us how the food was and I told her. She left and nothing was done. We ordered a dessert which was even worse than my main. A disappointing and quite expensive evening.

    We love this place. We came back to celebrate our anniversary last night before heading to the theater and we were not disappointed! Our server, Robert, was on his first day out of training and he was simply the sweetest guy. The food and service was great and we couldn’t be happier to have such a healthy, quality place in town.

    First time at True Food and had a great experience! I’m vegan and my husband isn’t so it was a great compromise for both of us with plenty of menu choices. Food was excellent. I had the vegan burger and hubby had the lasagna. Ambience was better than expected as well. Only complaint was that it was a bitterly cold night and they sat us next to the door dash entry, which meant people were constantly coming in and out. Brrr! After we notified management, they locked that door so it kept people from coming in (though it didn’t t keep them from going out so it only solved half the problem). We probably would’ve stayed longer and ordered more if it wasn’t for that. Would definitely return again and request a table away from the door.

    First time eating in the downtown location. I have been to Oak Brook several times. Food is consistently very good. Love that there’s options for vegan, vegetarian, and meat eaters. Food is exceptional and service was excellent. Ingredients are always fresh and seasonal. Squash pie gets five stars on its own!

    The food here is great. A very good number of vegan dishes that are not just salad or roasted/boiled vegetables. When I lived in Chicago, I ate here often. This particular night was especially good.

    Service was horrendous. Snooty waitress & hostess wasn’t helpful. Food was fine. It has been declining in whaling &’prep. Always delivered room temp. This was my last visit.

    We were in a party of 3 and one person’s food came out 20 mins before the rest of ours. She was basically done eating when the rest of the food arrived. Two of us had very under cooked food. My pizza crust was barely cooked. I’ve eaten at True Food (this location), many, many times. It used to be a go to, but the last couple times the food and the service have both been subpar. My friend’s avocado toast wasn’t even toasted. I hope they step it up, because this place used to be so good.

    We searched for a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel that could provide a good choice of gluten free food for reasons of allergy not fashion. True Food really delivered on that and had a good, lively ambiance. We went twice during our stay because, unlike other restaurants, I suffered no ill effects. Tried the pizza and the poke bowls, tasty and filling. Would definitely recommend to any coeliac looking for a safe place to eat that serves great healthy food.

    We usually love True Food, but our last few experiences dining there have been frustrating. Food quality has gone south and there seems to be no desire to rectify it, even when it’s brought to their attention. It’s a bummer because there are so few “healthy” options in Chicago that we trust, but this one is no longer on our list.

    We've always enjoyed True Food, and this meal was no exception. It was a beautiful evening to sit outside, enjoy a cocktail, and have a good meal. My only complaint was that the miso brussel sprouts were, well, too miso-y and not well caramelized to bring out the sweetness.

    We dine at the restaurant all the time The price’s went up dramatically We waited more than an hour for our food for more than 45 minutes for appetizers Nothing was done about getting our food until we complained to the waitress
