   Healthy food, if a bit bland. Breakfast hash with chicken sausage and sweet potatoes, egg and asparagus needed a Peruvian spicy sauce as a side to wake it up. Sparkling apricot tea also mild. Excellent service during a quiet Saturday Memorial Day weekend brunch. A little disturbed to find a messy floor near the bathrooms with runaway sweet potato chunks and other chopped veggies on the floor. NOT the image you want to see in any kitchen, especially an open one.

   The food was good not great. Some of the potatoes were hard and could not be eaten. Our server was so kind and very apologetic about the wait for the food. The atmosphere was fun and lively.

   Food is excellent, service is terrible. Wasn’t busy at all, waited a half hour to take our order, then messed up the order. Then brought the wrong check. Terrible. Staff just hanging around and not attending to their tables. Too bad, bc the food is excellent.

   It’s a nice place but they need to let people know what is spicy or not. I tried to order something that didn’t have hot peppers in it and was unsuccessful. It seems like everything on the menu has something hot in it. Not for me.

    Went here last night with my boyfriend and we both loved it! We both said the vibes were great to have dinner in. Our server was great too. We ordered the hummus and the bison sausage pizza and they were both great!

    We had the burrata appetizer which was very tasty. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu so I chose the quinoa teriyaki bowl. Not a strong teriyaki flavor, but very good. We will return!

    The food, cocktail, and service was excellent. The only reason I am rating 4/5 is that is a bit pricey. I would go back though (and use the $10 off Mother’s Day gift they provided!) and reset my expectations.

    I moved from California and loved true food kitchen. I was disappointed by the service (we were never checked in on even though it was slow) and our food took extremely long.

    Always a good visit at TFK!! Anytime I come back to Chicago, I HAVE to make a reso here. Got to eat on the patio which was great. The entire menu is delish, you can’t go wrong.

    Came here for a birthday dinner. Very disappointed. My sea bass was so dried out I could hardly eat it. Everything else on the dish was either cold or lukewarm. Thankfully we ordered a pizza for the table, because my son’s entrée didn’t arrive until everyone else was finished with their meals. I had to keep reminding the server that he still hadn’t gotten his food. The server blamed the kitchen. I finally told her that this was unacceptable and she had the manager come to our table. They took my son’s entrée off of the bill, which was fine, but sort of missed the point. They barely apologized. We were all so aggravated, it was hard to enjoy our food. By the way, these were only some of the things that went wrong. The desserts were very good, so at least there was that. We will definitely not be returning.

    This has become tradition every time I come to Chicago. You can't beat the clean environment, friendly staff & the menu that accommodates people with allergies or special diets. The staff actually knows their menu very well & go above and beyond to make sure everything is correct and to your satisfaction. The food is beyond delicious & extremely unique! Knowing you're getting top quality ingredients is extremely appreciated as well. Casey is also a reason I return, he is fantastic!

    The only good thing about this place was the taste of the food... However, portions are WAY TOO SMALL and the food was WAY OVERPRICED!!!!! On top of that, the service was SOOOOOO slow. We had to keep flagging down the server to ask for water, napkins, hot sauce, the check... literally anything! This was very confusing because there were more people working there than guests in the restaurant. I have been here two other times, and the service has always been poor and the food has always been overpriced food, but this was by far the worst experience yet and I will not be returning. I wouldn't recommend this place to others, which is such a bummer considering this is one of the "healthier" restaurant options in Chicago.

    Everything we've had here is great. The pink ube lime tart is a delicious dessert. I had the kale alcohol-free juice and I expected a thick grassy smoothie but it was light and refreshing. The mushroom and spinach pizza is a bit oily but it's so delicious. The began ricotta on it is great. Service is good. We always just input our order on the app, and it comes in a timely manner.

    Service was lacking. Our waiter had like 2 tables. The whole restaurant was empty and we still waited and felt it wasn’t responsive enough. Food was pretty good. Good place to eat healthy foods. Really enjoyed my beef kimchi salad! Would come back.

    Our waitress kinda checked out she may have been embarrassed the coffee was cold or our guacamole went to the wrong table but it was Pre dinner rush and she really stopped trying . Super duper slow !

    Ambiance was excellent: restaurant looked clean and well-decorated. Tables were seated far enough away that we could not overhear other diners and could chat comfortably. The food (dumplings appetizer, chop salad, teriyaki bowl) and various non-alcoholic beverages we had were all excellent. The only issue was the incredibly long wait for our entrees. The appetizer came out quickly, but then we waited for the main course ... and waited. The waiter appeared after a while to say, "Your food is on its way," but then disappeared and about 10 or 15 minutes later passed by again and did not seem to want to look at us for fear of making eye contact. We waited still longer. Finally the food arrived, and it was delicious, but we had to eat rather quickly and skip dessert in order to get to our movie on time.

    Food was not very good. I got a poke bowl, my friend got ramen. She had a hair on her egg in her ramen which she spotted as soon as it reached our table. They “made a new one” for her but did not comp of even discount her meal. The edamame dumplings were bland & not warm enough. Wouldn’t recommend overall tbh. The drinks were good tho. I do recommend the matcha horchata.

    Food and service was great overall. I was a bit taken aback to see a homeless/refugee boy at our table. There was no manager or hostess available and our party gave food up. While a very nice act on their behalf, it did cause a disruption as they gave their meal up and then reordered while everyone else had their meals. I have never experienced this at any restaurant in the city.
