We’ve dined here at least five times in the past couple of months, choosing different dishes almost every time, and they all have been delightful. The superb food more than makes up for the extremely high noise level when the restaurant is even half-full. Kinda pricey, but super tasty!
The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food from the starters to the dessert were amazing.
I feel like this restaurant has something for everyone, except Diet Soda. Drinks are creative, healthy and delicious. Creative menu, very filling. Service was great. This restaurant was fairly priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
I had booked the wrong time, but they got us in. Everyone at the table loved their meal, we had kids with us. When we were eating desert, one of our kids asked for more soup, while she devoured the ice cream brownie in front of her. This place has the best: food, wait-staff, and ambience. Make it your next meal out.
Shelby and Phil great. Surprised that take out portions smaller than eat in. Awesome service and clean, delicious food.
Menu was creative and exceptionally varied for a party including two vegetarians. All dishes were superb. Signature cocktails excellent. Yummy everything.
Told them it was my wife’s birthday they never acknowledged it didn’t bring any birthday cake nothing
Very tasty and healthy food. Great service. The kale guacamole was ok.
We enjoyed our meal. They offered a variety of dishes that are original and tasty. Service was fine. Only substantive complaint is that the place was very loud. It wasn't easy to converse with others at our table (from 6pm to 7 pm or so on a Saturday night ).
Great healthy food and service.
I liked the wide selection of choices of food. Started with the edamame dumplings and then had the Pad Thai with Cashews, which was very tasty, but not very many cashews. Next time I can do something very different that wouldn't have an Asian theme at all.
I love True Food! I first had it in Naples, Florida and didn't realize there was one in Bethesda. Please open one in DC! Delicious vegetarian/vegan options!
You might love it if you're a vegan or fan of quinoa, kale, various exotic beans, etc
Superb food, excellent ingredients, unfortunately the decibels are unbearable - any conversation is a shouting match - no soundproofing, industrial-typematerials reverberate sound badly. A pity, because the food is very very good and original.
Nice design, great staff and wonderful food. Lovely and entertaining. The only downside is the acoustic. It is so bad you can’t hear each other.
A very pleasant experience. I was promptly greeted and seated upon arriving. Our server provided excellent recommendations, and was knowledgeable on the menu. Overall a very pleasant dining experience.
Food was and service was 100% better than a few months ago.
Too loud to eat inside
We love True Food. The food is imaginatively prepared with healthful ingredients. It's a relaxed, unpretentious environment; the servers are welcoming and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. We're hoping that the noise level will be addressed. Apparently noise abatement is on the horizon. However, that issue is not a deterrent to us, and we plan to return to the restaurant soon.
Food is always delicious at True Food. A little noisy when it's busy.
Great food but too loud!
We enjoyed a lovely evening at True Food Kitchen. Great food as always - and because the weather was so nice, we were able to sit outside so it was quiet and calm.
Our server, Tiara, was a joy and delight! Great sense of humor, helpful to correct an error, efficient and knowledgeable.”Healthfood” is not our thing , but we really enjoyed our meal and how tasteful it was.
Love going to this place as I like their healthy & diverse menu. Friendly servers.
Hostess seemed very bothered to help us with high chairs for seats. Seated by bussing station and had to move chairs no fewer than 15 times over the course of the meal for wait staff to pick up their things. Appetizers in particular were good, but entrees were average and prices are too high. For service-related reasons, this is likely our last trip to true food.
Great food, fun place, fabulous service...never disappointed when I bring someone new to True Food...everyone loves!
Server was very knowledgeable about menu and enthusiastic about the food. Service was fantastic. Food was very tasty especially when you know it is healthy.
Seated at table too large for 5. Asked to be moved. All took time. Service was a bit slow, ie wine came last.
I've been several times before and it's been a perfectly acceptable experience. This time I felt really, really sick after dinner, and, on top of that, the service was terrible. The waitress would not stop bugging us to order, but then she was AWOL once food was delivered. Combined with the noise level - I think I can find other places to go....
We have been to this location multiple times. Food was, as usual, excellent but they continue to struggle with service. As an example, our food was brought out before drinks or even water was brought to the table. The server brought appetizers for the table, but no plates for sharing. After main meals served, did not see anyone for a while.
The food is healthy, delicious. The staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. Nice cozy ambiance. The noise level could be improved by either turning the loud music off completely or switching to classical/jazz. Loud booming beat affects dining experience very negatively.
We wanted a conveniently located place with excellent food where we would be comfortable having dinner with our family, including grandchildren. True Food worked out very well. Both the kids and adults found great options for dinner and everyone was happy. The atmosphere was lively and contributed to our enjoyment.
The food was far better than expected. The service was disorganized and haphazard. We arrived about 15 minutes early for our 8PM reservation and were told that they couldn't seat us until 8:00. Of course that was fine. What was not fine was waiting long after 8 to finally be seated. Once we were seated, a waitress was quick to greet us and bring us drinks. We waited for an extended period of time and finally a male server asked for our order. Ten minutes later the original server showed up to take our order. All of the people we met were cheerful and accommodating. It was no real problem in the long run, but it just seemed like there were management issues that needed to be worked out.
The food was amazing, however service was not. We ordered our drinks (me and my one friend ordered waters and our other friend ordered a special drink). Our one friend got her drink but our waters did not arrive. We asked three different waiters for water and did not receive them until after our food had arrived. Waiters seemed spacey and uninterested.
The food was fabulous and.different. The noise level was too high.
Knowledgeable servers make excellent food recommendations every time I dine in. My favorite restaurant so make reservations ahead.
Service was on point. Squash toast is yum. Love the vegan options, especially for dessert!
I love the location in walking distance from Bethesda Metro Station. I love the vegan options and the very tasty food.
Food here is awesome. Appropriate serving sizes, fresh vegetables and everything is cooked perfectly. Flavors are bright, fresh and vibrant. Sauces light and flavorful. Love this restaurant! Wish there was one in northern baltimore county!
Only complaint is the noise level is quite high - same concern at the Florida location...
Food is always prepared perfectly and very tasty. Food allergies were attended to nicely, and our server was very nice.
