I've been to True Foods 3 times in the last few weeks. I love it. Being vegan it is one of the best places for me and friends/co-workers.

Just discovered this place. Went with a vegan friend. The butternut squash soup was to die for. I had the spaghetti squash casserole which was also very good. But the best part was the key lime pie made with avocado. Amazing - the texture was like chocolate mouse - very firm. I will recommend to my friends and can't wait to go back.
We sat outside for brunch. All the safety protocols were observed. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, particularly the Quinoa pancakes.

Food is flavorful and healthy, not terribly imaginative, and overpriced for what it is. Service was very friendly. They're responsible in their covid precautions.

I am really glad we have this true food nearby in Bethesda. They make very good food which in my opinion is worth the bit of extra money to pay for it. My wife’s Panini was a little runny which we let our server know about. The manager came to our table and discussed in detail or comments regarding the Panini. He was very generous with his time and committed to follow up with the cook to see how they might improve the dish. We will definitely be coming backWhich I cant saying about most places that we go to. Very good food with decent sized portions. Enjoy

We were on a detox and very much enjoyed the delicious “refreshers” drinks and we have many food sensitivities and allergies - all were accommodated happily. So many restaurants lately since COVID have seen a decline in service or food quality. We did NOT experience that here. The food was terrific and so was the service. We will be back soon!!

Unfortunately my guest and I were placed at a table in the middle of their takeout pick-up area. This means the entire time there were people coming in and out standing up against our table waiting for their food. The staff did not tell these people to lift their mask over their nose, even the manager came over and wanted to take our order and the mask was below his nose the entire time. Finally, we were moved to another section of the restaurant and then our waiter forgot about us. No one came over once we got our food, we were out of water the entire time. When it was finally time to leave we had to flag someone down for our check.
I have always loved True Food, but this was bad..

The edamame dumplings are amazing and the cocktails on their menu are great. I also ordered an old fashioned which was nit very good but their signature cocktails were fantastic. Great place for healthy options

That Chicken Sausage pizza with the smoked gouda cheese was AMAZING. I mean everything was amazing but that was my favorite. Also, BEST HUMMUS I HAVE EVER HAD.

It was very nice to enjoy brunch on their first day back on indoor dining! True Food Kitchen is definitely the place I always have in mind for the “perfect” place to go for any meal of the day. Everything is SO FRESH and clean. I can not wait to return. I really wish I remember my server’s name yesterday as he was so awesome and helpful! It was a good dinner, the server forgot us a few times we had to call her over and the salmon just wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. But everything else was good.

We've eaten at this location many times and loved everything - from service to food. I made a reservation for my husband's birthday, asked to eat outside when I made the reservation, and was told, upon arrival, that there were no tables available. When my husband spoke to the hostess, miraculously, there was a table. Our waiter was very sweet so no complaints there. The kitchen was either having an "off" night or perhaps breaking in new staff but our order came out wrong, starting with the drink order. One server accused us of having ordered the cocktail and huffed off when we explained that we had not. Our entrees came out before our appetizers and were wrong. Again, the server huffed off and just put our meals under a heat lamp while we ate our appetizers. By the time we were finished with our apps, we sat for ages waiting for our lukewarm food to arrive. I've ordered the turkey burger a dozen times and it's always good. This time, it was so salty I could hardly eat it. Our sides - kale salad and home fries - were soggy and tasted old. I had planned on ordering dessert so we could sing Happy Birthday but didn't want to risk more disappointment. We continue to have great experiences at the Mosaic District location and will return there in the future. As for Bethesda...nope.

I have severe anaphylactic food allergies to dairy and am extremely cautious while eating out. It was so wonderful to be able to have a fantastic meal out that was completely safe! Thank you for an all-around wonderful experience, I will definitely be returning soon!!
