Trotta's Steak & Seafood
A Spicy Shrimp served with Angel Hair Pasta
Served with marinara or cocktail sauce
Waitress was really unresponsive. With a lower guest count you would think they will be able to give you better service. She had to be asked several times for everything we needed, including our side items. The noise from the street was too loud.
The service was very good and everyone was very friendly. We sat outside on a gorgeous evening and it was perfect. Unfortunately, the food was just OK the lobster bisque was clumpy and the seasoning salt that was put on as decoration made it way too salty. I had the Trotter filet and it was not very good. too small and the filling that supposes to be lobster and crab was barely noticeable and tasteless. My guests' fish (haddock) was also just OK.
Our server did an excellent job!!!!!!! Thank you!
Dinner was delicious with a great atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed the music and beautiful night. Service was outstanding.
Trottas is a very pleasant place for a memorable dining experience. I look forward to eating there again.
Outstanding food and service. The Trotta filet melts in your mouth.
We could not wait to be able to go back.
Our first outing since lock down and couldn’t be happier with our choice. Never been but WILL be back. Amazing menu, food and service. Great for any tastes so perfect for large diverse group. Greg was awesome welcoming us after great initial communication pre arrival. Thanks!!
Love it! Great food
We had a lovely birthday meal at Trotta's. Would highly recommend. Not the cheapest around, but excellent quality and taste.
The service was outstanding. I had Prime Rib, the steak was cooked to perfection. I could cut it with a butter knife. My wife's dish was excellent. All in all we had a great time. The piano music was a nice addition to our meal.
What a great find! Who knew such a fantastic steak and seafood restaurant was hiding in Dayton, Kentucky! The food was fantastic.. from the bread, to the salad, to the entrees and dessert! Our steaks, salmon and pasta were perfect and everything was homemade and freshly prepared. The service was outstanding and the family of restauranteurs were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We can't wait for the patio to open this summer! Our group will be back... I need to try the Double Layer Funnel Cake stuffed with Graeter's black raspberry ice cream! If you're looking for a place to dine as a couple, with friends, or a romantic spot to "pop the question," this is it!
By far one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The chef and waitresses were great and gave great suggestions and Carmen made sure we had everything we needed and that our drinks were full. The crab was delicious and the desserts were amazing. My mom is Italian so the authentic pasta dishes were perfection. Definitely will be back!
Great food and super nice staff.
Excellent service, food and conversation with the owners who consistently checked on us to make sure all was OK.
On the food , outstanding. The dessert, the best!. My wife and I highly recommend Trotters and will be back again.
We were welcomed and enjoyed the conversations with the owners (Greg Troota and his wife) and Trotta's Ambassador Carmen Trotta.
In addition, the chef stopped by to say hello and check on our food and if made correctly. My wife was very impressed by that.
Don't leave dinner without trying dessert!! Delicious!
Trotta had a great family owned feel. It was our first time eating there and they made sure we had a great experience
Excellent food and service.
The appetizers were so good, that we kept the sauces to keep eating with bread.
This was by far our worse experience there after several trips and excellent meals. The kitchen was ridiculously slow. We asked twice about meal, which took more than an hour for food. The bruschetta was pathetic, with 5 tiny pieces of bread with hardly any cheese. Croutons on salad were basically cut fresh bread—odd. Steak was good, not great. All in all disappointing.
Nice ambiance - decor and soft music was appealing. However, the food was not. The Trotta's filet was full of gristle and fat, every bite. The crab cakes seemed to be lacking any crab. The creme brulette had a soft top, while the inside was lumpy. The drinks from the bar were very good. Service was ok
We certainly enjoyed our meals of ribs and scallops. We were celebrating my birthday and this restaurant was recommended to me. It was so relaxing and the service was great!
I don't know how our son's name is on this email. He's never been there.
The Service and food was excellent. Will go back...
Celebrated 5 family birthdays, they were able to accommodate 15 people comfortably in a secluded area and had a bathroom located near for us to use. I got the 16 ounce ribeye medium rare which was delicious, not as good as The Precinct but for half the price. I got a loaded baked potato that was pretty massive and also had a shareable Mac and cheese which was different, not your typical Mac. I did also order the bacon bourbon glaze hush puppies to share an appetizer, they were okay, not what I was truly expecting. I would go again for sure though!
Most of the food came out less than luke warm or cold. Some of the food was under cooked. When sent back some of the food was then microwaved or thrown back on the grill. Everyone knows what happens to a steak when you put it back on the grill. For the cost of the food, I would have expected a new steak. In addition, they took a lobster tail back with the steak and only brought the steak back. The manager or owner came to talk to us but didn't bother to introduce himself or ask what are concerns we're. We initially didn't know who he was. We thought he was another patron just making small talk. It just did not seem very professional. Maybe they were having an off moment. The only positive thing I can say is that they did make it right with the bill. That being said, if they were really interested in us giving it another try, they would have offered up a coupon or something to give us incentive to come back. The overall experience just wasn't great.
Great all around experience. My wife and I chose this for anniversary and would go back
Love this place and it it a gem of a restaurant.
It was our first time celebrating my birthday we love the steak and all you can eat crab legs would definitely go back
Celebrating a birthday with 3 friends. Food was outstanding, authentic and fresh! Very Quaint little spot (looks like it was pick up right out of New Jersey and dropped in Kentucky) I would have given the value five stars but the deserts are way overpriced! But everything else was an excellent value. We will return.
Went for my friend’s birthday and had a wonderful time! The hosts were very kind and Natalie, our server, was incredibly sweet and we enjoyed chatting with her. We enjoyed the food and drink and really appreciated the birthday cake!
We had the fortune of getting a few hours away to celebrate Valentine’s Day at Trotta’s Steak and Seafood. Not only did we get to dine in the private vault, which was beautifully romantic, but we also got the best service from the full staff, including table-side check-ins from the chef and manager, and conversation with the sweetest older man, who made sure the lighting was just exactly the right brightness to set a Valentine’s Day tone and verified that all of our food and drinks were perfect. I love supporting local businesses, and when they are this good and staffed by such lovely people I want to support them even more! Make Trotta’s your next date night spot. Get the lobster bisque and don’t skip on their hand-crafted cocktails. You won’t regret it!
My husband and I went to Trotta's on February 15 as we couldn't go on Valentine's Day. We sat upstairs which was fairly quiet. The food was very good and staff was friendly and attentive. We would go again and recommend the restaurant.
Kathleen Trotta is a horrible business owner. Do not waste a second of your time or a dime of your money on her.
Valentines dinner fantastic
Been there a few times, however this time, while our steak had a very good flavor, it was not a great cut of meat (ribeye) had more than average fat and most disappointing was there was much gristle. I don't mind premium pricing for extraordinary food, but this time it didn't make the grade. The waitress on the other hand was awesome. Not pushy, but available when needed and extremely professional.
The staff was wonderful and so was the food! We had a great night out to celebrate a birthday.
What a wonderful evening. The staff was Amazing, so kind and appreciative. The food was Delicious! Everything we had was Great. Loved the music (piano) in the corner. A lovely evening for a nice dinner!
Great service, very welcoming. Everything out party of 3 ordered was great! Ribeye was very flavorful. The piano playing in the background was delightful but not too loud. We plan on returning soon.
Our server did an excellent job!!!! Thank you for a great dinner!!!
Service was extremely slow. Appetizers arrived cold, shareable sides came out cold, steaks were undercooked. Would not recommend. For the price you can find a much better value.
Food was mediocre at best. Table was broken and staff knew it. Just slide a make shift coaster underneath. Very expensive for the quality of the food. Disappointing experience.
