Everything was perfect. Waiter was knowledgeable. Food presentation was great.
The food at Troquet was very good, but we found the wine list disappointing, You cannot see a wine list online, so we had to wait until we got to the restaurant. The wine list caters to people who want to spend a lot of money on wine….there wasn’t much for those of us wine lovers who want a moderately priced bottle. Because of the threat of rain showers, we opted to eat indoors. The inside is very dark, and rather noisy with the wood floors, service was very good.
Great as always!
We had a great meal at Trouquet. The Bolognese is divine!
Best restaurant in Boston for food and wine - no question.
Staff amazing. Waitress was lovely-can’t recall her name but she was from Russia-adorable. Great drinks food was great- Bolognese very salty. Veal delicious. Would def return
One of my Boston favorites. The wine lit is absolutely amazing and there are some great finds and values on it, if you are willing to look.
Craig is the best, sorry about Marini and the press.
Nice outside setup
Expensive menu other than sandwiches, which is good because the Speed Dog is a standout at $10.50
We also had the foie gras which was delicious but tiny and way overpriced at $26.
My husband and I travel quite a bit to LA, NY, and Chicago. This is by far the best meal I've had in Boston. Usually a restaurant does a few dishes really well, but every dish we tried, from appetizers to entrees was fantastic. And couldn't ask for better service. Before going to the restaurant, we put our name on the waitlist at the speakeasy next door (Offsuit). The host there actually kept tabs with the waitstaff at Troquet as to when we'd be done with our meal and be ready to move next door for cocktails. Overall outstanding experience.
We loved it! Food was excellent and the staff was very nice. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food and service
The sophistication of the kitchen is equal to the best that Boston has to offer. This is top notch, authentic French cuisine—and everything is perfectly curated for each dish.
Staff very friendly - food took forever so appetizer was comped - steak tartare was excellent!
Chicken main course was ok - duck was better
Next time I’d have the steak tartare as a main course and ask not to be near door to secret bar!
Would happily return
I had a lovely lunch here with a friend. We ate outdoors. It was very nice. I will be back.
Stopped in for dinner while I was in town on business. I picked this spot primarily for their reputation for their wine service. I must say I was a little disappointed with the options for by-the-glass. The offerings they had were very good and quite interesting (i.e. not the same crap everyone has on their BTG list) my disappointment was the limited # of wines available. I understand the challenge of having too many bottles open and available at any given time but given their reputation as being wine-geek friendly I would have expected a few more. (Props however to them because I do believe they resealed each bottle after the pour - rather than just at the end of the night)
This place definitely lends itself to 'interesting' fine dining - i.e. Fluke Crudo for a 1st course (which was delightful BTW) ... The selections are somewhat unique and very interesting - but the atmosphere is totally chill and super friendly.
Thank you so much for visiting with us! Yes, as the economy is getting back into gear, we did intentionally reduce our "wines by the glass" selection so that those lovely wine bottles are not open too long. However, our wine bottle selection is currently over 43 pages long, if you are looking for more range! We look forward to your next visit. Cheers! --Jake Tringali, General Manager
We loved every single part of our meal. Thank you to the team there!
The food and service were amazing. My husband has the streak, while I had the pasta. They were delicious. Their wine list was incredible. My husband and I were just recently married and took a trip to Boston for a quick getaway. Our server brought us the most amazing creme brûlée as a celebration dessert. It was so nice to get out of the tourist path and try something more local. We can’t wait to come back on out next trip to Boston. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. Best wine list in Boston.
Terrific restaurant. My wife and I have been coming for years, starting with the original location, and have not been disappointed. Staff is friendly and professional, food and drinks are excellent, and restaurant has a relaxed vibe.
The staff could not have been any nicer. Started with the Grilled Caesar Salad. A simple dish, which this was, elevated to an outstanding salad. The balance of the anchovy pecorino and crispy shallots was sublime. Hudson Valley foie gras with the local pink muscat grape, cashew paste, and zucchini bread was another wonderful layer of flavors with everything perfectly cooked and elegantly presented. The steak tartare was perfectly prepared and not overly fussed with and the hen egg yolk, a delicious first for me! Do not miss the warm rolls and the wonderful butter presentation, so much fun! The veal sirloin was perfectly cooked and an explosion of layered flavors as was the duck breast with the combination of dark meat and wild ramps (now going out of season) was a delight to sample and left me wanting more. I look forward to returning to sample more of their fine offerings. I must also comment on the Barman, Nate. A mixologist of high quality and exceptional talent. Nate's kindness, patience, and professionalism was on high display as he sorted out the flavors and kinds of beverages we wanted but were unable to communicate. His talent enable us to imbibe with new and memorable beverages. I would return just to visit with Nate and sample his amazing creations.
Offsuit was were we had after dinner drinks and dessert. Chocolate chip cookies with warm boozie milk - OMG!!
While the food is perfect, the entire staff was accommodating and so kind. A breath of fresh air and professionalism. I cannot say enough nice things about how wonderfully we were treated. I cannot remember the last time people were so kind and we were treated so wonderfully and valued.
Excellent food, wine and service. Chris gave the perfect recommendation for wine pairing with our duck and veal sirloin. Can’t wait to return.
Excellent! We are outside, our first time back since Covid. It was great to see the wait staff again. Dinner was fabulous and Chris was there to help us select a fabulous bottle of wine. Loved the hake, the duck and white asparagus prosciutto appetizer. Thank you, can’t wait to come back.
We went to Troquet on South based on the excellent reviews... and we were in complete agreement with them! The food is amazing- everything was portioned just right and had wonderful flavor. I had the bolognese - on the spicier side (which I love). We shared the Caesar salad, my mother had the steak frites and my father had the chicken. Our server let us know the timeframe would be about 25 min for the entrees since all meals are made to order from scratch... this was appreciated so that we knew there would be some time before the meal and enticed us to get the salad. Overall the service, food, and atmosphere was wonderful and we will definitely be back!
We had an absolutely fantastic anniversary dinner here. The service was impeccable- our server was so knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. We felt very taken care of. The food was outstanding and we loved the wine the sommelier picked out for us which paired perfectly with the food. We will definitely be back to check out more of their wine list!
Service was excellent. Wine was great. Offsuit was also fantastic and interesting to see. The transformation of the space was amazing. Thank you for having us.
50th birthday party.
Great food and service. Loved everything we has.
Always extraordinary food & wines. Not a big surprise here...
This has become our new "go-to" spot in the Leather District! Food is incredible, and the staff is always top notch. It's doesn't have much of a presence from the street - actually kind of hidden - we had heard about it from friends and decided to try. Cocktails are unusual, menu is small but every dish is special.
Thank you for a wonderful night! Came in to celebrate my 30th bday and it could not have been more perfect. Shout out to our AMAZING server Olga and all the kitchen team (Chef you're pretty freakin talented) and Matt and Eric over at Offsuit! You all were amazing!!!
Best restaurant in town
Staff was great and friendly -as was food. Will definitely be back!
I Will go back for sure - the salmon was fantastic! The staff was great. I will be bringing friends next time.:)
The food was very good.
The server was very attentive.
Unfortunately I can't remember what I had for dinner but for sure I'll go back there
The food and the wine were both excellent. The atmosphere was calming. Our server was a PRO! She was Russian and a perfectionist and it showed in every detail. Talking about seasoned PROFESSIONAL passionate for perfection.
Fantastic experience! Spending the weekend in Boston and treated ourselves to the tasting menu. Exceptional!
Foie Gras appetizer was outstanding as was salmon entree! Steak tartar appetizer a bit dry, monk fish and duck entrees a bit bland. All the food was fresh & service was good (a bit slow - as they were quite busy).
Exceptional wine list and guidance by Chris! Now, outdoor dining available too...
What makes this place incredible aside from excellent food and phenomenal drinks is genuine, hospitable, professional, kind staff. Guest recognition is on point.
I’d like to highlight Nate who is an excellent bartender and server who will predict your every wish and make you a custom drink based on your preference.
Highly recommend this place!
