I have had good meals here in the past. On this occasion, a steak ordered medium-rare came out gray and stringy, and so tough it was difficult to cut with a steak knife. Our server, who was not customer focused, took at least 25 minutes to check on the quality of the food. He removed the steak and brought another. It was clearly medium-rare, but still tough and it yielded no juices, which was odd for a steak. That ruined the meal, but the baked potato was good. My friend ordered lamb lollipops, and they were delicious according to him. I guess I made a bad choice.

This is a buffet brunch, so the food being sort of mediocre is expected. But the mimosas and Bloody Marys are bottomless so that was nice. My main concern was the host. We made a reservation but he didn’t seem to have it. That in itself isn’t a problem.. we were the first ones there and their reservation list looked pretty empty. But his attitude was pretty bad.. like we were putting him out. All he had to was seat us and be acted like it was a big deal. He then proceeded to play music (or videos) on his phone loudly enough that it could be heard over the restaurant music. It was extremely annoying and not sure why someone in management didn’t tell him to stop. But for the money the food and drinks were fine.

Great selection of food. Bottomless Mimosas were always refreshed. Great, friendly service.

Went for brunch on Easter Sunday with friends. I had a reservation, but table was not ready upon arrival. I found the buffet food selection pretty limited and rather disappointing. Several items were not replenished when depleted, and when I inquired I was given no explanation for the shortage, just that they would not be replenished. The buffet pricing did not include a non-acloholic option, so I was forced to pay the "bottomless mimosa" price even though I don't drink. Service was very slow, drinks forgotten, plates not cleared, refills had to at times be done in person at the bar since no server could be found to request them. Sorry to see the above issues since I have previously had good experiences here, but those were during regular meal times and using the regular menu. Perhaps we were there on a bad day for them, but it is not likely I will return to find out.

Always a treat. Wednesday is burger night. Half off burgers and sandwiches. Monday is half off the entire menu. Dinner and entertainment!

Amy’s service is always the best. As often on Mondays, the food was lukewarm. But in general, we like Tropics and the way we are treated. There is certainly something that could be done to make Mondays in the kitchen more efficient.

Ordered bacon wrapped scallops that were very good but about a minute overcooked and pretty firm when presented. My husband ordered Italian carbonara and it was nothing more than pasta bucatini with garlic, ba-co-bits and cream. I had a dirty martini marinated pork chop and a dead baked potato with microwaved cheddar. The pork was way overcooked and I have had better loaded bake potatoes at “TGIFridays”. It’s always an adventure eating here. Under new management and a new chef we were hoping for more. Just didn’t hit the ball out of the park. We love the men and boys at this place, but they make a better dirty martini at the bar!
