For a place barely half full on a Saturday, things were very slow. Waitress was nice, but overwhelmed. She should not be expected to service the entire restaurant. Appetizers (3 soups) took 25 minutes to arrive. Just slow and understaffed. Saving grace was the food was served hot.
Definitely will be our "go to" restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious,
The food was outstanding, the service was fantastic, and the portions were perfect. They have a great selection of wine for any budget. The complementary house bread is tasty, but a tad bit greasy. The pizzas available are delicious. The burgers were tasty, and came with a very generous portion of fries, which we couldn't finish.
Food and service excellent as always!!
Good service, good food but 18$ mistake in bill, but waitress fixed.
Quite pricey for what it is-limited menu-service was ok-inexperienced waitstaff-empty the night we went-not impressed-although restaurant is VERY pretty
Ordered their bone marrow burger. Reordered due to over cooking. 2nd order was cooked as ordered, but lack taste, moisture, flavor, it was dry and the bone marrow had absolutely no flavor. Wine was costly too. Our waitresses was wonderful, attentive, classy and treated us well.
Wonderful ambiance, great service. Enjoyed our meal
You are paying for quality, not quantity at this restaurant. We both enjoyed our meals very much.
Our group of 6 went to the Trophy Room for dinner after one of us had eaten there the week before and shared her dining experience with us. We ordered 8 appetizers for the table just to sample. Every single one of them was unbelievably delicious. Each person in our party raved about their main course as well. Several of us have traveled internationally and eaten at 4/5 star restaurants and one Michelin restaurant. We each attested our main course rivaled those restaurants. The food quality, presentation and service was exceptional. Everyone should experience a meal at the Trophy Room. It was amazing!
We celebrated our Anniversary and it was superb!! This is a great hidden gem. We had the 32oz Tomahawk with a side of Bernaise, whipped potatoes, creamed spinach, and topped it off with bananas foster waffles. Everything was amazing. The Tomahawk is aged in a salt rub which was perfect. Our waitress was super. We will definitely go back.
Was awesome! Our server was amazing and the food was 5 star!!!!!
Great food which was priced right with excellent service. The best key lime pie in the area one of the few placed which is quiet and you can hear yourself talk without yelling. Food was wonderfully prepared and presented
Very nice and relaxing
We’re going to go again soon!
So we decided to give The Trophy Room another shot. We don’t have much to choose from here in Wellington when it comes to nice cool places to go out. I heard they have a new chef since the last time we were there (which was awful) well not much has changed....the food was ok, nothing special- we ordered lobster rolls, brisket sliders, empanadas& the pimento cheese bites. It really wasn’t better than the last time. Our waiter was nice & he did a great job. We ordered drinks and the wine pours were very small - and the martinis were good. Overall, I would probably go back to The Trophy Room but only because there’s not really anywhere else to go. Ollie’s & Kaluz are s much better choice.
We shared a wonderful pizza $10, it was pizza night. And half order very good pasta and a French dip slider— so a tapas type meal. The chef comes from several of The finest restaurants in Palm Beach so Palm Beach Comes to Wellington. Very attentive service in a place with charming ambience.
rfood was well prepared and nicely servedelly enjoyed our evening will definitely returndecor is soothing wasn,t crazy about the floorfood was wwell presented and served
There are not many choices when it comes to restaurant options in Wellington other than chain restaurants like Ollie’s & Kaluz which are ok, but not culinary destinations. Then we had a great dinner at Trophy Room, and it has without a doubt raised the culinary scene in Wellington. The food is great, and the menu gives a lot of delicious surprises which are locally sourced. I was so happy to find that the menu had options for every diner with meat and vegetarian friendly items. The service was informative and very friendly. The new Chef came out to say hello which took our experience over the top. We will come back!
Our experience was overall average. Except for the steak, the food was good. The steak was just OK and not worth the price. We were seated in the front room, and the lighting was way too bright and reminded me of sitting in a cafeteria. There is a white recessed ceiling with high hats and a modern light fixture. Having the highhats lit in the white recessed ceiling was very cafeteria like. I would recommend they turned off the high hats in the white recessed area and just lit the hanging light fixture. BTW, another table actually asked if they could turn down the lighting. Most people chose to sit nearer the bar, where the ambience appeared to be much better.
The service and food here were GREAT. The Trophy Room is a great place to celebrate an anniversary or to have an intimate dinner with friends. You must try the mushroom gnocchi, by far the best pasta I have ever had.
Our visit was awful. The service was deplorable. Food, when we got it was good, but 2 dinners were served 30 minutes after the 1st two. Management tried to make amends, but until they get the servers and the kitchen coordinated we will not be back.
My girlfriend and I had an awesome experience at Trophy Room! It’s was nice to find a fun place for the girls to hang out and keep it classy. We will definitely be back!
Wonderful considering we didn’t know what to expect after reading the super mixed reviews.
This was such a waste of money. They don’t have any craft beers in stock, didn’t have the wine I wanted, didn’t have the scallops that were on their online menu. The waitress was way too casual for a restaurant that has a $125.00 steak on the menu. The music was club music, and the food was just ok. We got oysters that were good- but $47.00 for a dozen of gulf oysters. The salad was just ok, and the salmon was bland. Overall, we did not enjoy the night and would not recommend this place to anyone. Seems like they are closing soon and just want to get rid of the inventory that they have.
Didn’t honor reservation took 20 minutes to clean up an available table. Next problem drink order another 1/2 hour to deliver vodka Diet Coke and water minus olives. We waited another 1/2 hour till we complained that we didn’t have our salad. After an hour and 30 minutes we left. Never got any food. Horrible experience
The revamp of the menu by the new chef lead to AMAZING FOOD! We went there for our anniversary and were greeted with well wishes from the entire staff waiting on us (not the norm for most places). We had the beef short rib on a creamy polenta - which was incredibly tender, juicy, and jam packed with flavor! We also had the Maryland crab cake sliders - woah! Mostly meat, little breading and straight up amazing! For starters we had the blue cheese wedge salad (the homemade dressing was delicious!) and the octopus sautéed — deeeeeelicious! We capped it off with the waffle banana foster ....an absolute MUST for desert when you go there! Make your reservations now - best place to eat in Wellington is The Trophy Room!
Meal was exceptional and I’ll try it again.
Food is 100% better with the new chef. I hope the restaurant will have a year round support group, we need top quality food in Wellington.
Interesting, and maybe because it was a sunday night. The food was very good, but the service was fair. Had to wait 30 min and ask for bread, as well as ask to order a drink. Then had to request a second one - that is usually the easiest sell for a place- just a simple "do you want another?" there were only 5 occupied tables and 2 wait staff so it didnt make sense. the wait staff was mixing drinks at the bar as well. Overall, there was no management present or leadership helping them. they tried very hard, but seemed either inexperienced, or totally unsupervised. To some extend good food overcomes bad service, and not vice versa. wonder how they do if it were a busy night
The waiter was very attentive and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was a little off kilter. It was like being a nightclub in mid-afternoon. The lights were too bright which highlighted dings in the dark walls. The music was not good...van halen, motley crew...etc. Seemed really out of place considering 75% of the diners were 65+. Easy things to fix. :)
Great time at Trophy Room on Friday night with pre fixe menu.
Wedge salad and charcuterie to start with a nice bottle of Chardonnay. Main course included Steamed Mussels and Filet Mignon both done to perfection. Key lime pie chocolate cake pops for dessert to end a perfect meal.
Waitress, manager and all staff came to our table to check on our service and were extremely pleasant.
We will definitely be back, soon!
I was very disappointed
The Brussel Sprouts were really good but the noise was overwhelming
Service left a lot to be desired
No attention to refreshing the iced tea and adding ice
There’s a new chef in town and boy did it make a difference at this place!! The food was delicious
You must try the octopus appetizer as well as the spicy cauliflower!! For entrées we had the chicken which was unbelievable New York strip steaks cooked to perfection
Swordfish.. clams and linguine which were amazing!! Desserts were also great. We were so full we only tried the cheesecake and salted caramel ice cream.
Unfortunately they did not reveal that their was a loud (looked like fun) cocktail party going on. We left but we’ll return to try again.
The restaurant is very pretty. The service and the food was very good. Comfy chairs. Nice ambiance
The food was very good n the device was terrific.
Superb meal and stellar service. Chef Jimmy came out and chatted with us and helped us understand his inspiration for the maple bourbon Brussels sprouts (to DIE for).
We went at 5:15 pm on a Tuesday, which by coincidence happens to be the one evening of the week that all food is half price. We loved the burrata salad, but didn’t care too much for the shaved brussel sprouts, although the included raisins made it somewhat better. Our entrees of swordfish were terrific, but the dessert of the cheesecake got a widely mixed review - my date said it was the best cheesecake she’s had, and being originally from NY, I didn’t care for it at all - not my style.
Our waitress was real good, except for two things: very long delay between the appetizer and getting the entrees (perhaps the problem was the kitchen), and then a long delay at the end after we were finished with our entrees, and the time it took to order dessert, get the check, etc. If you think it’s me, as noted, the two of us got there at 5:15 pm, and we were not able to leave until 8:10 pm, virtually THREE hours for appetizers, entrees, and dessert! My expectation, without being rushed, should have been about 1-1/2 hours or so, two hours TOPS!
