Trombino's Bistro Italiano Ratings and Reviews
I took my management team and their spouses here for dinner. There were 12 of us. The server was young and did not do his job well. We had a few people come later than the rest, but he didn't even offer us drinks before they arrived. When they did he took their drinks and never asked for ours at the other end of the table. I had to flag him down and ask.
When he took the orders and brought the food he got the orders right but again, never asked if we wanted more drinks or offered to refill my iced tea. We were done eating for a good 10-15 minutes before he stopped by to see if we wanted to order dessert and clear our dinner plates.
The restaurant was full and he had several other tables. This is the management's fault for 1) not training him properly (the bill would have definitely been higher had he been on it). 2) not having service support staff. Most nicer restaurants have bus/support people to refill drinks, clear plates, get missed condiments, etc. Basically all the things our waiter did not do.
I would still return, but hopefully the management works on the server situation.
We enjoyed dining at Trombino's Bistro Italiano. The food was excellent and so was the service. My husband and I would like to see you add a serving of vegetables with the main entrée. This would make the meal more balanced and be a better value for the price. We hope you'll consider this in the future.
Food was superb!! Service was great. It was the best food we have had in sometime.
The hostess was friendly and she was able to seat us immediately with our Open Table reservation. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was over the top. The serving size was generous and the most flavorful dishes. Thumbs up to the chef!!
Thank you for a lovely evening!! We will be back soon.
Dinner at 5:30 for four. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Waiter while a little shaky at the start straightened everything out and kept us well attended. Good pace to the meal. There must be something about my appearance - seems every maitre-de wants to put us next to the kitchen or the restrooms when there's room EVERYWHERE. We declined and asked for another table, or booth. Was told booths were for larger groups, yet we saw several parties of four seated at booths after us. Restaurants should understand you don't seat customers for the convenience of staff assignments, you try to give the best table available at the time.
A group of 7 friends dined at Trombino's. I made a reservation and we were seated in a perfect spot. It was a round table, which I like because everyone can talk to each other as opposed to a rectangular table, and the table was in a small alcove so the one person with us who has a hearing problem had no difficulty following conversations. We all enjoyed the food we ordered. The portions are large and we all left with a to go box. Our waiter was wonderful. He was attentive and wanted to make our dinner go smoothly. We had a very enjoyable evening and would highly recommend this restaurant.
After years of being across town, we've recently rediscovered Trombino's and make a point to visit at least monthly. The food is excellent and priced right, the service is outstanding, and it's a nice, quiet, but not too formal evening out for me and my girl.
I just lost the entire review...Oh well. Bottom line: veal way overcooked after reminding our waiter to make sure it wasn't! I had made reservations with the note that this was my husband's 70th birthday. We have been here several times & had wonderful service by Jay & another very tall young lady. Thomas was terrible! We had to keep asking for more bread, wine, etc. etc. Doubt we will ever return. Sooo disappointed! This was our place for dinner, when we visited Albuquerque.
One of us at the table ordered lobster. It was cooked beyond being edible. She couldn’t even get the meat out of the shell. She then ordered crab legs. They were so extremely salty, they too were inedible. We all have eaten at Trombinos in the past and loved it. This was the worst food experience for one of our diners.
Not our first time, won't be our last. Started with the bruschetta, had never ordered before, the bread was toasty garlicy deliciousness and the topping was fresh. I had salmon cooked perfect. An Eggplant dish , chicken piccata and chicken Marsala were ordered by the rest of my party. They were all extremely pleased. All the staff was attentive and on parr for what we paid!

we celebrated a birthday here following a day at the balloon fiesta. we were taken on time for our reservation and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. the two of us had ravioli: one lobster and one meat. both were delicious. the side salads (little italy and garden) were fresh, crisp, chilled and delicious. and a special cupcake for my birthday topped off the evening.
It was my birthday celebration from two of my friends. The Veal Parmagiano was good, not great. The spaghetti and marinara on the side was o.k. The bread and the olive oil was good. The Tiaramasu was outstanding! The Peroni Beer was great! All in all, it was a great dinner. Our waitress was great, very entertaining.
