Trombino's Bistro Italiano
Food was not as good as usual-probably the day of the week. Had to send the calamari back and replacement was fine.
Some of the best Italian food I've ever had! Great Service.
They had a table ready for us as soon as we got there. I had the spinach lasagna and loved it. I was told that it is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. The only issue was that our server appeared to be very busy and it took a while to get his attention for extra salad dressing. He did apologize for that. Overall it was a very good experience and I will certainly go back.
Good dining experience, slight hiccup with the order but the waiter took ownership and quickly remedied the issue.
Overall, the food was excellent and I will go back.

The food was superb.
We wish you had a restaurant in Goodyear Arizona. We would be there every week.
Service was good too.
Would be nice to add a small house salad with the meal. Staff was not observant with customers, if they talked as much to customers as they did to each other would have rated you better. We told the waitress it was our first time, she should have at least offered info on the menu. We were not offered grated cheese with pasta, we did not realize you had it until we left and saw other being offered it. All we saw was the dry cheese on the table as the topping. We may come back because we did like what we were served. We were celebrating a special occasion were not even asked if were were or not would have been nice to have been asked!
I order lasagna at every Italian restaurant I visit, all over the US. This was too 5 in my book! Very good. Perfect combination of noodles, cheese and homemade sauce.
Trombino’s was an unexpected surprise. In a town known for chilies and burgers, Trombino’s would have made an Italian proud of their heritage. The food was as good as we have had at any Italian restaurant. The menu was extensive so there was surely something for any tastes. Naomi, our waitress, was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. I love a green Chile cheeseburger but my wife and I agree that Trombino’s will be part of our next trip to Albuquerque.
Very disappointed, have been here numerous times and this was the worst. Requested, in advance, special table for wife's birthday, instead we were seated in main loud room. Had to mention to waiter that it was her B-day before he took notice. What is the point of advanced reservations and requests if they are ignored? Chicken Piccata was dry, tough and very small portions.
Great service and delicious food. My husband had to send his steak back because it was too rare but the waiter was quick and accommodating. The restaurant is nothing special but cute. Get there early if you want a parking.
Probably the best Italian food in ABQ. Good wine list. Parking not quite adequate on weekends but that's a reflection of the crowd size. Reservations were easy on OpenTable.
I always look forward to their classic pork chop. It is impossible to cut and very tough. My wife asked for medium well ribeye and received an uncooked bloody steak. Our party of four was half way done with our meal before my wife got her properly cooked steak. The other two in our party received mushy pasta meals. I will not be coming back.
We’re visiting the area and the bistro was recommended by the hotel manager. We took a chance and were rewarded with two of the best Italian meals we’ve ever eaten. We lived in New York for 25 years and New Jersey for 40, so we know good ethnic food. The eggplant parmigiana was actually crisp at the edges! So delish. The marinara sauce was tasty and not runny. My husband enjoyed his chicken Marsala as well. Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant. The only downside was the bread. Soft inside, but crusty in an old way on the outside. I’d return for sure!!
Trombino's has been a tradition for my family for many years. It's ALWAYS a wonderful experience for the senses.
Service was outstanding. Delicious food. This is my favorite Italian
Restaurant in Albuquerque
Good service. Food prepared poorly. Chicken Marsala was nothing more than chicken and thick gravy with not a hint of Marsala taste.
Simply the best Italian restaurant in ABQ. We are from the Napa Valley, and have frequented the best Italian restaurants in the North Beach section of San Francisco, and this restaurant is as good as the best of North Beach.
Doug & Joani.
We have been to this restaurant a few times. The food is usually good, but this time the food I ordered this time was so bland I couldn't eat it. The wait staff was excellent and it was taken off our bill. It is a beautiful restaurant and I will go back. I am hoping this was a one time incident
food was very good, the waitress was horrible.she forgot our wine.out of the four entres, she served three. and waited over 10 minutes for the fourth.we ordered three to go boxes, she only brought two over.we finally told the manager and he gave us a discount off the bill for the horrible service.we been to trombinos before and everything was very good.it was unfortunate we had thos food server.
I've eaten here for many years. I have never had a meal I didn't like . And they give you a huge amount of food!
Have not been disappointed, except when sold out of Spinach lasagna, my husband’s favorite.
If you want veal prepared to perfection Trombino’s is the season place!
The start was horrible, but the end of the dinner was fine. Booked a table with Open Table and the hostess gives it away after we checked in for that table time. Waited 35 minutes for the next available table for 4. It was sad when a group misses their seating time by 4 hours late and they can get your time slot. Food just tasted fine after that on Mother's day.
Great food and service. Decor is dark and dated, but that is overcome by the great service, good food and generous portions. The Martini's, Cosmo's and mules are all outstanding. I have dined at Trombino's from 1994 to the present. Also, fun to sometimes sit in the bar and order from the menu.
My daughter and I,Mothers day
Service was great and all the waiters were pleasant and helpful. We will be back in the near future.
Not a good experience at the hostess stand - repeated problems getting seated - hostesses were unappreciative and inattentive of the single diner, even one with a reservation. Asked to speak to the manager - didn’t Happen. And when did Happen, manager placated me and never came back one time to see if I was satisfied with the experience. Good for big groups - bad for small ones - that’s been my experience now four times in a row.
The mussels were delicious as were the Sicilian calamari
A most enjoyable meal for seven of us
We have not been to Trombino's in many years and decided we were in the mood for veal. Both of us ordered the veal (piccata and marsala) and I'm sad to say it was very disappointing. Piccata was salty and over breaded. Masala was bland and also over breaded. The calamari and mushroom fritti was "okay." The place was very busy so service was a little slow (this is not the waiter's fault, he did a good job). We will likely not return in the near future.
The seafood platter was more than ample, and my wife's chicken Marcella ordered with roasted red potatoes (her favorite) with the bowl bursting with the perfectly cooked side order.
The service was as always, excellent. Thank you to Taylor and Sammy.
Trombinos is better than our latest visit. We were not made aware that our table had a container of Parmisian Cheese, so we went without. (We discovered it on our way out.) Our server took my cocktail away before I was half done with it. Next time I will order something grilled. My wife absolutely loves their Lasagna .
I would definitely recommend Trombino's to a friend because the food, as always, is good. However, I would hope they wouldn't get our server. She was not particularly friendly and only refilled our water glasses one time in the 2 1/2 hours we were there. When she did refill them, she spilled water all over the table by me... getting my hand and arm wet, yet didn't even acknowledge the spill or offer to wipe it up so there wasn't a puddle where my hand would comfortably rest, much less apologize for splashing me and getting me wet.
Great little trattoria. Good food, service, ambiance, what more could you want?
The manicoti was dry and the lobster cream was over powered by the bell pepper that it was prepared with. I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The quantity was excellent. The server was outstanding. The complaint I have is just with the quality of the food. It was not as good as i expected. The only other issue is that I made a reservation through OpenTable and it could not be found by the hostess. I am not sure if this was an error on the side of Tromboni's or OpenTable.
Best Italian in Albuquerque.
Well prepared, properly seasoned and served hot.
Excellent food and service! Always a delight dining here!
We have eaten there for years , but had the worst server we have ever had. He never checked on us, took over 20 minutes to take our order and it was my Sons birthday and just threw his dessert down in front of him with nothing special. Very disappointed in the service.
Always a treat to dine here and to share the experience with friends and family.
One of the few restaurants that remains consistently good.
It's been a couple years but we have a bit of a tradition of going to Trombino's for Easter and decided to resume it this year. The food was excellent, we had a wonderfully private table, and the service was prompt. We recommend Trombino's universally to friends and family for fine Italian dining.
