Nestled at the foothills of Red Hill, Trofeo Estate is a family-owned vineyard and winery with a unique story to share. A trip to Trofeo will take you back in time, where the most ancient method dating back more than 3,000 years meets modern innovation in winemaking. Trofeo age and ferment their wine exclusively in Terracotta Amphora vessels imported from Italy. Elegant and fruit-driven wines are grown and crafted onsite, representing the purest form of each cool climate variety and the regions unique terroir.

Originally housing a passionfruit cannery circa 1930, the venue is now home to the cellar door and restaurant, stretching out onto a stunning deck and wine garden that overlooks 50 acres of rural vineyard. Headed by Executive Chef Steve Davidson, the restaurant delivers a relaxed shared menu showcasing the best of the region, designed to be enjoyed with our wines. Guests can also visit the cellar door to sample award-winning wines and experience the terracotta difference.

    Food was good but portion was on the small side. Compared to a table for 2 vs 4 but amount of food was not doubled. Was there on a busy Sat afternoon with a party noise level being unbearable at times. Probably will not be back in a hurry. Cheers

    Our table was in full sun but staff quickly got an umbrella organised. Beautiful garden so we wanted to sit in it!! Food was delicious as was wine, beautiful building and lovely peaceful atmosphere. Only suggestions would be pizzas are quite pricey; have sun block on offer; consider giving the option of set menu or garden menu on the deck.

    The weather was perfect so the lovely staff allowed us to choose between dining inside (as per our booking) or on their deck. We chose the latter. We had the set summer 3 course lunch menu with a nice bottle of their sparkling rose. Food was fresh, tasty and ample. The staff were next level attentive and considerate of our every need. Highly recommended ❤️

    We have been to Trofeo several times before, but not for a while, and found it to be ok. It was overall disappointing this time. Some of the flavours were great but the portions were small. The cost was way too high for the product.

    We had a wonderful time at Trofeo Estate, food was excellent value and delicious. The servings we generous and we all love the barramundi, which was a stand out dish. Service lovely, even though they were very busy it was genuine and attentive. A fab afternoon out.

    We had a wonderful experience with the lunch tasting menu on boxing day. The service was attentive, relaxed and timely. All courses were served on share plates which we didn't love, and some a bit small, but they were all delicious. We were able to sit around and chat outside with drinks after our meal and all staff were very kind about us overstaying a bit and asking them to take photos of us.

    Fantastic food quality and service, delicious and well timed delivery. Value quite good … it was expensive but worth it. Noise a little echoey and loud at times but got used to it. I’ll recommend TE to anyone.

    Birthday party with 10 guests. The food was delicious and they catered brilliantly for all our dietary requirements in a menu designed for sharing. The only issue was that they didn’t serve enough duck slices or fish pieces for one per person, so some guests missed out. Other than that we had a lovely time.

    Trofeo Estate has a fabulous 6 course lunch from swordfish ceviche to roast duck and seared salmon, finished with a custard and rhubarb dessertIt was delicious, fresh and exquisitely presented. We had exceptional service from the maître d’. The space has a warmth and formality which makes it special. I have a happy memory here in summer with acoustic music on the outdoor deck. I will be back for wine tasting and the delectable cellar door menu… as a local it is wonderful to have such a lovely venue in Dromana/Red Hill.

    We were referred to this beautiful boutique winery, we had cause for a special anniversary lunch with my gorgeous wife, the food, service and environment far exceed our expectations, we will certainly attend again with our friends very soon. Full compliments to the young wait staff, they were polite, courteous and knew the menu as well as the ingredients. A special mention to the management and of course the Che and all the kitchen staff. Well done, Thank you.

    We enjoyed the Spring tasting menu (fixed), great variety, textures and flavours, everyone enjoyed it. We paired dishes off with their excellent Pinot Gris and single vineyard Pinot Noir, again everyone enjoyed their excellent wines, and the cost was reasonable. We will be back again.
