Absolutely wonderful! This is one of the best meals I've ever had and that is saying a lot. We had the Korean butter poached crab, the wedge salad, and the silver snake farm steak. All were incredible. We finished the night with a slice of lemon cake that I'm still dreaming about. Kyle was our waiter and he was fantastic, we will certainly request him again. Everything that he recommended we loved. I can't wait to go back to Houston just to eat here again.
My husband and I enjoy Tris a lot! The food is worthy of Michelin stars. The head chef is very creative and inventive to dazzle your tastebuds. The staff are very friendly, attentive and create a memorable dining experience. Everything is top notch from the hosts, bar staff, servers, chefs, staff, drinks and food. We always have a great time!
What a fabulous birthday dinner. Such a treat to go out for dinner and experience flavors you don’t find every day. The Chilean sea bass and scallop dishes were sensational.

The Steak board and Lobster Thermador is amazing
Tris is nice and certainly different. Our server was really nice and helpful, but seemed a little overwhelmed. The menu is limited and in my opinion the food is overpriced and overrated. We have been to Tris about 5-6 times. When they have the Beef Wellington on the menu that is really a treat and very good. Aside from that it’s lots of butter and unusual flavors. The environment and ambiance is nice. If you’re an adventurous foodie who doesn’t mind limited options it’s worth checking out. I despise leaving a review on the “negative” side because I can tell a lot of work and pride has gone into developing the menu and concept, however, after 5+ visits and feeling this way rather consistently I felt I should share my thoughts.
If you are looking for a fine dining experience, look no further. The service was outstanding! The food was exceptional! The Chef was fantastic and added new takes on timeless dishes. If you go, ask for Marvin to be your server. He made the whole experience even that much better!
Everything was amazing. Make sure to leave room for dessert. The bread pudding is to die for!! Made the mistake of only asking for one to share. Will not make that mistake again.
There is an over use of sauce poured in food that killed the flavor of my fish, crab and steak. Limited foods with other sauce options. Wedge salad was good but not worth $15 price tag when it was a starter rather than a full meal. Great ambiance and service was attentive
While it may be pricey, you are paying for good quality food and a lovely experience with servers who actually make it their goal to make sure you’re having a great time and make sure you know exactly what you are ordering. And the bread pudding is absolutely to die for.

Amazing food, great service. We sat at the bar and loved our bartender . This is a pricey place but it is 100% worth it.
Great drinks as usually! Bummed out that they didn’t have the Black wagyu ribeye... tried the red wagyu ribeye again very disappointed. The past two times I had the red wagyu it was like rubber... not sure why it is like that. I honestly think it’s USDA select cut . Will still comeback , just hope chef brings back the Black wagyu ribeye back.
Amazing all around
The Tris team worked tirelessly to make our anniversary special. Along with exquisite ambiance, the service staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best pairings for our selected dishes. Each course was crafted with a level of elegance and sophistication that could only be matched the taste.
We had the honor of a visit from Chef Austin to make sure our meal was of the highest quality (it was) and the team all personally signed a card to celebrate our anniversary.
This is by far the single greatest dining experience we have ever had. Kudos to the entire team. You made our night unforgettable!
We love this restaurant and will continue to be patrons. The service is exceptional and the menu is always thoughtful and well executed. The only disappointment is that due to COVID, a lot of the premium ingredients we are used to are not available, and some of the menu offerings have been pared down but are still offered at the same price.

The steak i had was one of best i've ever had. This place specializes in steaks and can stand up against any of the best steak houses, but the difference is the sides and appetizers. They are one of a kind and shows that the chef has differentiated himself from his competitors. If you want to do something different, go to Tris.
The food was probably the best I’ve ever had. Our server Kyle was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The cocktails were amazing. We had the old fashioned, it was made with browned butter and was so unique and delicious. The Korean poached butter crab was simply outrageous. The Nashville Hot Quail was perfect. We had the Chilean Sea Bass and Crab and Truffle pasta and the flavors were sensational. We finished with the bread pudding, and it was some of the best bread pudding I’ve had. Almost like a flan texture. Literally melted in your mouth. I cannot rave about this place enough.
It was our first time going to TRIS, our waiter was very helpful and attentive, explained the menu and gave us good recommendations. Food and drinks were excellent.

Had a fantastic meal with Chef Austin and Chef Courtney last night. You guys are always raising the bar. Lee provided 5 star service and wine pairings. In particular the Napa cab Cade reserve was a stunner. Chris’s brown butter old fashioned is the best I’ve had. TRIS is our go to date night experience.
Course 1 - Beef tartare on prawn cracker with fried garlic and chive. Amazing balance and the acid was bright and perfect. A clear home run!
Course 2 - Grilled octopus with hummus and fried chickpeas. I don’t know how y’all get the texture like this but as someone who doesn’t normally like octopus, I’d eat this regularly.
Course 3 - Truffle grilled cheese sandwich with brown butter washed old fashioned. Wow. My favorite truffle dish on this planet. So good I ate it before I remembered to take a picture.
Course 4 - foie gras seared in a beautiful broth. Another dish I wouldn’t normally order based on the texture, but y’all get the sear on it perfectly and it is so yummy.
Course 5 - ribeye and filet 2 ways. Mushroom tart with hollandaise. Brown butter kimchi poached crab topping. A clear mic drop to the meal. Meat was perfect - hard sear and perfect smooth internal. I am a steak guy and this rang all the bells.

This was our best dining experience in the last two years of looking for elevated dining. The staff are to be commended for their professional, warmth and knowledge of the food and wine. This will be our “go-to” restaurant as long as we live close enough... we live in Louisiana and willingly travel three hours one way just for this place.
The Wagu strip was very nice and the tenderloin was very good! The wait staff was quick to respond and very cordial.

New Year’s Eve—I had made a reservation around Thanksgiving, but did not realize it was a set menu. I did not see that on the reservation at all. The food was delicious, but the menu was very limited and gave us few choices. The area we were seated was drafty and cold, but the waiter graciously accommodated us and turned the air down so it was much better. The waiter did a fabulous job. Next time, we will come on a day other than with a set menu.
An outstanding restaurant in every sense of the word. Absolutely one of the best in Houston if not Texas. The $99 tasting menu would be a bargain at twice the price and every course is astounding.
There's a reason you have to book this place so far in advance. The service, the food, the ambiance - it's all pretty incredible and at a very fair price. My nomination for the best restaurant in the entire Greater Houston Area.
Food was mediocre at best particularly for the prices. $425 tip included for 2 people without wine! I have no issues paying good money for high end food, but this dinner was very disappointing unfortunately. Maybe it was just that night. The service was top notch!

Possibly the best dining experience we have had. Like so many others, the Korean butter poached crab with kimchi pancake was the overall favorite. But every choice was ooo'd and ahhh'd over.Austin Simmons has been my favorite chef since he first came to Hubble & Hudson Bistro. He catered my daughter's wedding. Cannot say enough about his talent.

We had the Chef’s Tasting and are still raving about it! The staff described each dish and there was little to no wait between plates! The bar drinks were phenomenal! I can’t wait to return. The ambiance was very romantic.

From start to finish, this was hands down the beat meal we have ever had. Every bite was an experience. Rob, our waiter, was excellent at describing our choices and even made a few suggestions allowing us to experience more of the menu than we expected. We definitely can’t wait to come back.
We've always loved your restaurant and this latest visit did not disappoint completely, but my wife and I feel like y'all have increased prices on some things disproportionately. $18 for a specialty cocktail seems a bit excessive. Moreover, $26 for your truffle grilled cheese appetizer that amounted to essentially a mouthful of flavor for me and my two guests was way over the top. I love you guys, but this kind of price gouging is likely to prevent me from making you my "go to" destination restaurant. I appreciate a good meal, but I don't like to be gouged. I know that COVID has been hard on the restaurant industry as a whole. Don't take this out on me via price increases. I would rather you give me the ability to donate an additional tip to you and your servers at my discretion. Fix this, guys. Otherwise, you are going to lose your loyal customer base. Also, for the sake of all that is holy, please do something with your lighting. Way too bright in your place. Y'all need to dim the lights like 50% more during the evening. My bride does not want to be lit up like a Christmas tree when she's looking to spend a romantic evening with me. Your clientele is affluent but older. Help them help you. Bright lights don't work. Dim it!
