Triple George Grill Ratings and Reviews
Second time experience, first for dinner. Server was OK but she seemed rushed. NY strip could stand more salt and pepper to enhance the flavor. I ordered their blue cheese sauce which took the steak experience up sever notches. Wife's petite filet (medium) was overcooked but still enjoyable.
My husband and I decided to have the pre fix menu for Valentine's day. We were very disappointed when the waiter informed us the cocktails that were on the menu as part of the dinner were not included and we had to pay an additional $24 for the cocktails. It definitely put a damper on our meal. Also, the side dishes that went with the shared main course were too small. The asparagus was huge, tough stalks. It is in season now and about as cheap as you can get it all year, so I don't know why they served us sub-par sides. The chocolate souffle for dessert was not tasty at all. The steak was OK, but more rare than medium rare. Unfortunately, I don't think we will eat there again.
Went for valentines and service was the quickest I have ever seen. Hardly finished our starter and the 2nd course was out. They did not clear one of our soup bowls away until asked. Once second course was finished and the knife hit the plate the main course Steak came out. Not even 1 minute gap between courses to enjoy. Then as 3 of the group were finished they tried to clear the plates even though our fourth person had not finished. I have never eaten a four course dinner quicker than that in my life. Only positive was the cocktails were very good and the food price.
This was the third time we came with three other couples for the Valentine's Day special menu. The first time it was great, last year was good, this year it was just terrible. Everything from appetizer to chocolate souffle was COLD! The first appetizer, a red pepper bisque, was a cream based soup, and it really needed to be warm at least, but it was very cold. The second appetizer, a beef Wellington, was also cold and soggy, also, we had to really look for the beef! There were little bits of beef hidden among the pieces of mushroom. Totally tasteless, but we were hungry. Next, we shared a COLD Tomahawk steak, so cold that the fat (which we trimmed, but still got a lot of) stuck to the roof of our mouths even after dessert. The side dishes were also to be shared, a spoonful of mashed potatoes and THREE asparagus spears for TWO people! Then the COLD chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream on top (it didn't melt even a little). The service was slow (which probably explains the temperature of everything), and our waitress kept asking how our food was, and from the very first course we complained about the temperature, but nothing changed. It was as she was just asking to make conversation, but really didn't care. We'll absolutely never return and will ALWAYS advise our friends and acquaintances to avoid it!
This is a great place with nice ambience and good food. I had the butternut squash ravioli. My only complaint was the sauce over-powered the squash flavor. I recommend brown butter with sage instead of a cream sauce. The goat cheese marinara app is delicious! We really enjoyed TGG and plan to make it a regular go to for dining out.
The server forgot all 10 of our dinner salads, and only brought me my crackers for a chowder that never came. Once the server would leave it was at least 15 min until she would come again. Our entrees for to were wrong. They ordered the steak and lobster and received steak and shrimp instead. She corrected it, but again it took forever. We lost out on eating more and they lost on making more money 🤷🏻♂️
Was here a month ago and it was absolutely amazing. Returned with full of expectations and was dissapointed. The steak cooked to perfection before, not so much this time. My guest and i had the same exact order, ribeye medium. Both not charred as before in the outside, mine was medium rare and my guests medium well. Maybe my expectations were too high. I was looking forward to this and i was a little sad after the meal. Server could have made me feel better but she was indifferent...
My girlfriend and I were going to the Smith Center for a show. Decided on Triple George based on my previous experience and convenient location. We had an amazing meal (the pot roast). Most important, was our server and I am so sorry I didn't write her name down. Now I can remember. She was attentive without being annoying and went above and beyond to meet our every need. I must say that she was the best part of our dinning experience and that says a lot because our meal was outstanding. All the other staff from the hostesses to the bus boys were all very nice and professional. Will be my go to restaurant for pre-theatre dining.
Terrible experience. Noise level was so high I couldn't hear the people at my table. Our food took an hour and half to come with no explanation and then they billed me for the entire dinner. I had to be very stern with the manager to get a discount off the dinner. This was a business dinner and people were starving. We didn't eat until 10pm.
I made a reservation and went to Triple George since they advertise a vegan menu with Gardein chik'n strips. Unfortunately, after I sat down with 8 other people that I had recommended Triple George to, I learned they had run out. I also tried to order happy hour drinks and appetizers, which they advertise at a discounted price on their website during the week, but was told they weren't offering it because so many tourists were in town.
