Trio Restaurant - Palm Springs Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant was very crowded and noisy - with several large parties. Our first server was
overwhelmed, but Jason came to the rescue and got our orders into the kitchen and out to
our table. I sent my order (Australian sole) back because it was cold. They reheated and got it
back to the table quickly. Again, kudos to Jason for jumping in and taking good care of us.
This is a very happening scene and if you want a table, you should make a reservation. We had a great time catching up with friends even though the noise level can be intense at times. The food is really good and the staff always seems really happy. They are on it and take care of anything I've asked for.
We enjoyed everything about our evening at Trio.
Corner booth away from bustle.
The tofu ceviche was VERY tasty, & not too spicy.
The squash ravioli in sage butter was delicious.
The highlight was a caramel (or butterscotch) pot a creme--divine-velvety but not too sweet.
We'll be back soon.
I have been to Trio many times -- and just introduced my son who is moving to the area. The meal was, as always, great and what a value! I also had the "Marilyn" cocktail (strawberry) and quite lovely. Great wine list. Good food options and three courses for $19.99 -- can't beat it. All in the vibrant center of Palm Springs.
We were attending the Palm Springs International Film Festival and had a dinner break. We decided to check out Trio as other was a festival sponsor. We made a good choice. Everything was top notch. The menu had food for most every taste and the service was excellent. We will be back to try other items. It was a very nice experience and worth a return visit.
Trio is always a favorite when in Palm Springs… The cashew chicken salad is exceptional especially with the shredded carrots accoutrement.
Had dinner for the first time and had an exceptional meal, the salmon was perfectly prepared, and the wait staff were very accommodating .
I recommend trio for both lunch and dinner.
After hearing good things about this restaurant I finally made it there on New Year’s Day and was quite disappointed. Brunch for all five of us was over-cooked, dry & not flavorful. Wait staff was decent, but not great. Refills for coffee and second cocktails took longer than necessary. Frankly, I won’t be back... Sorry!
We were told by other friends that dined here this same evening that there was wine and champagne included free of charge with the pre-fix menu for NYE. However we ordered a bottle of wine and were not only charged but not ever offered the wine that would have been included nor were we offered the champagne. If you are going to offer something , make it available and not just “if they ask for it”. I’ve been here many times and generally am very happy but I feel like I was taken advantage of here.
New Years, full capacity as expected, not as well tuned or food as good as last year. Soup was a bit on the tepid side, Steaks and Lobster seem like they had been pre-cooked and sitting a bit as plated food was a bit cool. Only the potatoes were a little warm. The food runner was a bit confused in serving plates. Yes, i know it's New Years but last year was so SPOT ON, we were hoping for the same. Will return again but maybe not for New Years.
