We’ve been to Trio many times and always enjoyed it, but something was off last night.. Service was VERY slow (server and kitchen). Our prime rib was OK (giant portion, but tough, with raw asparagus). Usually service is super fast and very friendly-with great food. We’ll definitely try again.
This is a new Trio, with much improved food. Had the 3 course special beginning with beet salad, Australian Sole and bread pudding. Each dish was flavorful beautifully presented with substantial portions. Martin, our waiter was friendly, attentive and jovial; a great combination. If you haven't been to Trio since the fire closed them for a brief period, try it again. The overly salted entrees have been replaced with perfectly seasoned tasty dishes. And sit outside since its quieter and more conductive to a lovely dinner for two.
Disappointed in the bread pudding dessert. Everything else was great . A special shout out to our server . She did a great job.
This is my second time having brunch here. The first time I was very pleased with the food and the service. The second time I was disappointed with the service and the food despite having ordered the same thing.
I've been to Trio many times before when the food and service were fine. My experience
for Sunday brunch was such that I will not go back. The server was incredibly rude and
inattentive to our requests. It took 20 minutes for a glass of orange juice to arrive. The
poached eggs were hard-boiled, and our plates were not removed post-meal for a very long time. Ambience/energy was very noisy and rushed.
Sunday Brunch with friends. Great service & excellent food. Endless mimosas was truly just that!
Two meals were lukewarm. One was sent back and not charged. Thank you to management
The food was HORRIBLE !!!! :(
I live very close by and have always wanted to stop in for a meal. However, my first choice was the St Louis Ribs. OMGoodness, DRRRYYYY. No sauce. The meat was just nasty. The mashed potatoes were also very dry, like from the bottom of the pot dry. Not a full portion of too sweet tasteless cole slaw. I returned this and got the roasted chicken. Decent flavor, but very pale skin. Veg was tough and sparse. Very Nice servers. Sorry Trios won't be back for dinner, may try breakfast.
If I were alone I would have also returned the second meal and ask for my money back. Thanks for asking, hope it helps.
Food was great. Enjoyed the evening immensely.
The service at Trio was very good. Prices are moderate and the food is good. Only negative is it is a bit noisy for talking.
Maria was an amazing server. Very friendly and helpful. The food was just ok. There was an endless stream of 80’s dance music which was relentless. After awhile we just had to leave. The loud music ( think YMCA) just did is in. Maria got it turned down but please get a new sound track.
We come here whenever we are in the desert and it never disappoints👍
Loved it! Will go again
5 of us (3 adults and 2 kids) had an early dinner at Trio before heading to the airport. Took advantage of their 3-course prix fisse menu, available before 6pm, which is an incredible value. We tried the calamari, beet salad, hummus/pita, the burger, the mushroom linguine, the sole, the roasted chicken and brownies and sundaes for dessert. Every dish was truly delicious. Service was impeccable and the craft cocktails were awesome, too. We'll definitely go back and recommend it to friends.
Awesome as always
Have always loved Trio but this time was a dud.
Ordered the 3 tacos on the happy hour menu: fish one was so soggy the shell disintegrated upon touching it. Pork one was so dry as to not be edible.
Upon telling the waiter he just shrugged and did nothing to offset it or the bill. He also brought my second drink so late as to be pointless. Nice guy but clearly overworked.
Good value usually but this time the food and service was terrible. If it was like this agaian we would not return. I sure hope this great restaurant isn’t going downhill.
Consistently good food and service! One of our go to places when visiting PS.
The pre fixe food was marginal at best. We ordered 4 different things so not a great average. We won’t race back!!!
We went here on a recommendation and also because the reviews were good, but I'm just not sure why this restaurant gets good reviews. The ambiance is horrible, the orange decor is awful and plastic, and the seating is too crowded with some tables right next to columns that obscure views and make the seating difficult. The food was pretty good, I like the menu variety. Cocktails did not taste good and the wine list is full of $5 bottles priced at $12 a glass. Our waiter was nice but seemed totally in the weeds and never stopped to check on us or ask if we needed anything else and then seemed to forget we were there. And what is with the three teenage girls who are the hostesses...weirdest welcome ever to a restaurant. The whole experience just made for a bad night in an otherwise good vacation. I recommend going to Copleys down the street...SO MUCH BETTER.
It had been several years since we had tried Trio. Our server was phenomenal, very attentive and knew the menu inside and out. I can not say anything but great things and will definitely put Trio on my "more often" list.
Food very tasty, good value for the 3 course special. Service was a little slow but understandable because location is busy and lots of people taking advantage of happy hour and special meal prices. Enjoyed our gathering and is a spot my friends and I always meet up at when we are vacationing in Palm Springs.
We had the pre fixe menu and, as always, the food and service was excellent. It is a noisy place though so don’t expect a quiet dinner with pleasant conversation. Great food and good service is a given though at this place.
Slow service and food is mediocre at best. My breakfast burrito was comparable to a McDonalds breakfast burrito. Not good. It was served with a side of fruit but they put the dollop of sour cream on top of the fruit which was not appetizing.
I will never go back again. There were over 100 women that were part of bridal parties and it absolutely ruined the whole evening for all of us. The restaurant has clearly decided to go for the money at the cost of loyal customers and it’s a real bad choice
We went on a Saturday night while visiting Palm Springs. Consistently a favorite for menu selections, moderate prices(had a fixe price menu selection, entree, salad/appetizer and dessert for $19). Phenomenal prices for California!! The Chicken Marsala entree and the Fish Tacos entree were superb for us. We had the Wedge and the Beet Salad which were both tasty. Chocolate sundaes for dessert. Portions are good size. Great for people watching!! Very happy place with the orange decor and upscale, fun vibe!
I had the option of a 3 course meal (appetizer, entree and dessert) or the regular menu.
I chose the 3 course and was very pleased with it.
I started off with the dates wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese. Most excellent.
Entree was the chicken Marsala. Another excellent choice. The mushroom reminded me of bone broth gravy - rich flavor that added to the meal.
The brownie was rich and was the perfect ending to the meal.
Everything was great. There was some loud parties in the restaurant but the servers did a great job acknowledging my wife’s birthday and the food was great.
Great place for folks in their 20’s looking for fun vibe and less expensive fare. Great happy hour menu . Food just fine.
Went with friends for a casual evening meal. Always good food and the night did not disappoint. Was a bit loud at times and a little on the warm side in the dining room. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.
Wonderful casual restaurant. Like the early bird option which is a three course meal, great deal.
I’ve eaten at Trio many times in the four years I’ve lived in the desert. Thursday’s lunch was both the worst meal and worst service that I’ve experienced. We asked twice for water and were never brought any. It took the waiter 15 minutes to even acknowledge us when we sat down. After the initial visit we waited another 15 minutes for him to return to take our order. I figured we’d have received our order by then. 15 minutes after that, we were mistakenly served another party’s order. 15 minutes after that, we finally got our meal. I had ordered the large Caesar with steak. The steak was cold and tough. The salad was completely wilted. I eat out 3-4 times a week in Palm Springs and surrounding areas. I’ve eaten lunch and dinner at Trio many times. This was an exceptionally unsatisfying experience. I thought you’d want to know. -Joseph Andrade
Subpar food; had to send back chicken and martini and my son did not touch the mac n cheese. Was very disappointed with the quality especially for the price. Our waiter was friendly and that was the only positive part of our experience.
We ordered the chicken and found it to be not very well seasoned. The breast was dry. The grilled veggies were undercooked. They need to at least be pre-cooked some before grilling (carrots)
We also ordered the Australian sole. It was also dry and overcooked.
The mushroom linguini was the best of what we ordered.
The appetizer of artichokes was done well but the serving of 3 pieces was meager.
The calamari was the best choice of the appetizers.
Every dessert was topped with whipped cream. The bread pudding would have been better with a whiskey sauce as the pudding itself was lovely. The added sugar base and creme did not add any complexity.
The brownie was like any other. Again, bringing another level of flavor such as raspberry sauce would have enhanced it.
Good food and service. Calamari over cooked and chewy
Tuesday's prime rib special was a nice value!
We were seated at a great table outside and took advantage of the Happy Hour menu. Frankie was our friendly, energetic and attentive server. Dishes came out expediently, white wine was kept chilled in a bucket, and the water glasses were always topped up. I would totally recommend the tofu ceviche with edamame beans and corn chips. My husband was thrilled with the tuna poke tacos. Everything was delicious!
I always enjoy dinner at Trio, when friends come to Palm Springs I take them to Trio for dinner. I enjoy their specials especially halibut, steak and my favorite rack of lamb.
Dominic is AWESOME!! We drive all the way from San Marcos (San Diego) to have him take care of us for dinner. He takes EXCELLENT care of us!
Wonderful Easter brunch for 4. Great service, delicious food!
The table for two sat in a corner. We could not talk with each other because of the terrible noise. My food Avocado toast was tasteless with 3 pieces of unripe melons, mostly rind.
Did not have a menu with their $19 + fixed menu, nor typically brunch drinks.
Very very disappointing .
