Trio is a BYOB restaurant located in Philadelphia's Fairmount/Art Museum Area (just 2 blocks from the Phila Museum of Art and 4 blocks from Eastern State Pen) that specializes in serving Thai and Pan Asian cuisine. The restaurant features casual dining in an elegant atmosphere and provides indoor and outdoor seating.

Trio serves dinner daily and offers a large assortment of soups, salads, appetizers and entrees for guests to choose from. Appetizer, soup and salad options on the menu include shrimp dumpling soup, Thai grilled beef salad, salted dusted calamari, grilled chicken satay and vegetable samosas. Really good food at the price point. Service was good. Not super fancy. Nice for everyday dining. Would eat there again.

Always a great meal here. I usually get drunken noodles or pad Thai but opted for the steak instead. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. Seafood dumplings were also a standout. Service, as always, was attentive and gracious.

Early dinner. Place was empty except for one other table. Tom Kha soup was very tasty . Chive dumplings were pretty glutenous and awful. Pad thai with chicken was decent, but I've had (and made) better. Another noodle dish (can't remember the name) was just OK. Overall, we were disappointed, because we live in the neighborhood and were hoping for a good Thai restaurant.

Unfortunately we had a baby in the restaurant who liked to screech for no reason at all. Otherwise, we found the food to be very tasty and spiced as we ordered. The stir fry vegetables with chicken was spiced mildly (as we asked for 1 on the spice), and it was plentiful, with lots of chicken, and very tasty. The pad thai with shrimp was done nicely, flavorful, but with less tamarind sauce than I am used to. Service was good, but there were only 3 or 4 tables full at 5pm on a warm Memorial Day weekend Saturday. All in all, the four of us were very satisfied with serving size, value, and service.

My wife ordered pad Thai. The server asked how spicy she would like it on scale of 1 to 5 and she said zero. The pad thai was too spicy, she didn’t eat it and left hungry. The server asked if she wanted something else , but I was already eating and she didn’t want to wait. The server did not offer to take the uneaten dinner off the bill. We just paid and left. We’ve eaten here before and always enjoyed it. This was disappointing.

We were optimistic to have a neighborhood Thai restaurant, but were extremely overwhelmed. What easily could have been a 4/5 star experience was ruined by inattentive staff, as well as ants marching up and down the table.

The food is great you can tell they put a lot into it. The downfall of this nice restaurant is the two teenagers who are the servers. Nice young girls, but, They need to be trained in quality customer service and unfortunately have NO idea how to do their job.

Two people had the same entree, mixed shellfish on a bed or rice --- one loved it, the other found it way too bland. I had excellent lump crab cakes; the fourth diner had a signature noodle dish. He didn't say much about it, but he cleaned his plate. Waitress was pleasant and attentive, the rest of the staff friendly. Very reasonable prices, esp. for a BYOB (bill for a couple w/ 22% tip was about $55). Atmosphere conducive to conversation, maybe b/c the place wasn't crowded. Parking is horrible. We got lucky w/ a spot along Pennsylvania Ave., but parking alone would prevent this suburbanite from returning frequently. If you're in the Museum/Fairmount area, it's a very good choice for casual dining.

The food and service was excellent. However waited almost 40 minutes for our meal which was the hot pot. Could be this takes longer Will go back
