TRIO Ratings and Reviews
Trios is consistently a great place to dine! Food is always good and the service excellent. Sam and Jeff do a fantastic job and we would highly recommend them. They are personable and always close by if you need anything but never rushing you through the evening. Very fun night!
I made a reservation for a birthday dinner at Trio. I have been dining at Trio for over 20 years and would rate this as one of my worst experiences at the restaurant. I called Trio to request a secluded booth for a birthday dinner. The response was no problem. We were seated in a booth by a party of 14!! We could barely get in or out of the booth, and at 5:30 I believe we could have had a better place to sit. The food itself was average, and that is being generous! I am extremely disappointed in the whole experience, and was embarrassed due the fact I had said it was a great restaurant.
I've loved this place for nearly 20 years and it was one of the first places we dined upon my move back from San Antonio, TX a few years ago. We were on our way to a play, and our server, Ryan, was excellent. I had a light appetite, so asked for the happy hour tomato bruschetta (kiss, kiss, to die for!), and my son had the meatloaf dinner. He said it was the best he'd ever had. It's one of my favorites, too, but I wasn't up for that much food before the theatre. We return to this as often as we're going to be in the neighborhood on the way to downtown. I've had birthday dinners, romantic dinners, and dinners with girl pals, and it's consistently great food and great service.
Trio has been my go - to restaurant for years. The menu & service is always consistent.
With that being said, my last visit was a little disappointing. I ordered small side salad and requested blue cheese dressing on the side : it was served with ranch. I ordered the beef sliders from the appetizer section : MEDIUM - they were served well done. I’m not sure what was going on in the kitchen as the restaurant was not overly crowded for a Tuesday eve. Perhaps short staffed? Our server was excellent. I would still highly recommend Trio. They just had an off night.
I have eaten at this restaurant for 30+ years. The food is consistently good, and I appreciate
the warmth, ambiance, and wonderful service which the restaurant provides. The owner tries to accomodate his customers as much as possible. If you have a request for something you especially like, that is no longer on the menu, he will try to grant your request. He seems to stay
visible when he is at the restaurant to get feedback on what customers may either like or what
things may be improved. I had French onion soup and a Cobb salad, asking for no bacon,
extra avocado, and a different dressing on the side. No problem. My mother had a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious, and the portions were more than ample.
